Actually scared to update considering the problems with the AS extended and incredibly buggy launch. Updated and getting better, but... the remote app still only feeds the first x amount of artists if I don't start scrolling quickly through to the end of the list right away. For me at least now it's three stars instead of two. Still really buggy in other places as well though. Really wish the programmers had stuck with this version to make it better before they moved on.

It works reasonably well.... However, I would be REALLY useful to integrate folder view into this Android app. I'm still in my month trial of Audirvana Origin and I'm really impressed thus far. I think it's a keeper.....!

It generally works, but strange bug with long Tidal playlists: if I try to play a song near the bottom, it plays a song from the beginning of the playlist. The only way to play songs at the end is by starting queue from first song and then going in queue to the song I want.

Works really well, would love to see the sync time to be a bit quicker with the PC andvan option for it to remain always active - battery drain as a consequence notwithstanding. Love the program

The new remote is pretty reliable and convenient! But I wish there is a way button to kill/exit the app when it's searching for a computer. Sometimes I forgot that I turned the computer off, the remote keeps searching for a computer for a long time. I killed the app in the settings when that happens. I wish there is an easy way to stop it and exit the app.

So far it is not working with studio and on my Google pixel 5. The only reason I have audirvana is a solution for. Controller. Everything else is phenomenal. I wish this problem could be resolved with all the information on their community site. It does not work and I've tried anything.

I initially rated this app one star a few months ago, but I have seen improvements since then. I hope improvements continue but it's not where I wanted to be yet. My biggest issue right now is that I have to shut my Android phone down and restart it to get connected to the app.

Still the same bug - favourite tracks only played from the first page of the list. If you scroll down it does not play the song you want but selects the song it wnats. Actually useless.

Becomes better in each iteration. It used to be diffficult to see all library, eg scrolling is stopped after a few hundred album although there are more in the storage. It now scrolls buttery smoothly, showing all library contents without stopping. One problem has not gone away: application remains running even after quitting. I need to force stop it everytime to fully kill the process. Hope it is fixed in the next update.

Excellent! Connected to my computer easily, controls are intuitive, and makes it easy to handle my music services.

Excellent, most of the time, but on some devices the remote apo just doesn't want to see the PC server. This mostly happens on Android 12. Besides that, the entire product is a home run. It's what Qobuz should have created, as it makes it like Spotify or Tidal connect. The PC software runs effortlessly on a low end Pentium, w/4gb of ram and Win10 64bit.

Still getting there. Occasional glitches on the opening screen, (it says it can't connect, but then does) but, for the most part, it's a lot better than it used to be. However, if I am going into artists list in a local drive, unless I scroll a-z immediately, then it seems the phone has a problem retrieving the full list. Despite this, it is easy to use and now remains paired to the pc it was initially set up with.

Nice when it works, but I constantly have connection issues. First starting the app and it works fine, but as soon as the phone's screen goes to sleep it loses connection to the computer. Music will continue to play as normal but you cannot control it. It stops showing the correct song (shows the last song that was playing while connected). I have to quit the app and relaunch it, sometimes repeatedly until it reconnects to the PC. Other small connection problems too. It's basically unusable.

Amazing sound quality/functionality from the desktop version, but this app is terrible. Constantly having issues losing connection to my laptop. Tried all of the troubleshooting tips from the many posts about this problem on your forum, and it still doesn't work most of the time! My free trial expires next week and this is the only thing giving me second thoughts about paying for an otherwise excellent product.

12/15/2020. Oh well, it's back to not connecting to my windows 10 laptop. ---Updated review as of November 2020. From two stars up to 4 now. Hallelujah!! Finally, the remote is consistently connecting to the PC software, which is fantastic. Remote-wise, it does everything it needs. The PC software is still glitchy, resulting in me having to periodically go to the PC to restart the software, but that's not due to this android app. I still prefer it over the other options available.

I can't seem to play a track in a multi-disk album (4 or more). Nothing happens when I tried to play the track. But the track in question is played fine if I move it to the queue first and then play it. Bug? I also notice sometimes it crashes when loading a lot of albums in landscape mode as opposed to portrait mode. All in all this is function packed remote that is worth the wait. Thank you.

I agree with the reviewer that said "When it works is good." Hard to give it more than two stars, though, when it keeps disconnecting from my laptop. I can rarely listen to more than two albums in a row before the app freezes and can't connect again. "Please use the same WIFI network on both devices." Yeah, please don't insult my intelligence. How many networks do you think I have at home, for gods sakes? And most of the time I'm at my computer, sitting next to the freaking router!

So far, the app itself is great and the functionality is perfect. I love the amazing sound of Studio versus the native player for Qobuz. My only request is that it be adjusted so that actually shuts off when you close the app. Right now it runs in background until I force quit it, of course this is a drain on battery and takes up data.

Love the fact that you can control your music from the phone but the app won't load all my albums. It stops at letter C in artists and doesn't seem to get any further. It will find anything in library with search function but doesn't show them all in a way I can scroll through. I would also like a shuffle feature for favourites as well as the ability to create playlists according to genre etc. On a positive side the software plays the music in excellent sound quality. Update : this app no longer works at all on my Android smartphone so is completely useless. I'm not prepared to subscribe to this unless smartphone links to computer seamlessly and even then I would much prefer a one-off payment rather than continuous subscription model

Initial set up on my Samsung 7 was ok and connection to Audirvana on my Mac was straightforward. But then the issues started. When phone screensaver is activated, the connection is lost and cannot be restored. Then the remote says I have an unlicensed version and should download from Google play, which I just did. There are no other versions available. I cannot connect to Audirvana. Shame, has potential but currently more of a hassle than a help.

It works, but not as slick as it could be. For example to change output/speaker, you have to pause the music, then stop when the the button appears, then go to settings, then on the current speaker, then select from a list. This should all be automatic, and the speaker selection list should be directly accessible from the now playing tab, just like every other music app. Audirvana is premium software, so the app should be premium, just like BluOS etc. This is the main user experience afterall.

It's ok when it works. Love the sound from Audirvana, don't love the app as it constantly disconnects or tells me my license is expired. I can fix this by restarting the app or by opening the app from my pull down menu. I see a fair amount of complaints about same thing and the developers seem to want to blame the user and not fix the app, not sure why. Super basic functions, would be nice to be able to see more information about my music and some features like polarity switching.

Cannot connect. It sees the server but the response is "Unknown Error. Using OS Catalina on Mac Mini. I've confirmed many times that is it on the same Wifi network (the server wouldn't show up if it wasn't). I've followed all of the suggested steps regarding the firewall. I've even tried with the firewall turned off. I've also rebooted the computer, the router (Airport Extreme), and the phone(on Android 9). All to no avail. My iOS version of Audirvana Remote on my iPad has no problem connecting.

Have been waiting for this app for some time. Finally, it is here but needs some polishing. I use Tidal on Audirvana and I don't see the complete song list on my favorites in the app. ** Update - Reducing the rating to 1 star as it simply doesn't work at all now. My macbook and the phone is in the sme wifi network but still the app never finds the Macbook. I think it just worked once in it's entire lifetime and never afterwards. Such a waste of time and money.

A welcome addition to the desktop application that will provide the cleanest of digital audio experiences. Minor hiccups during Tidal use, controlling local music seems to be more reliable and sturdy. Haven't experienced any noticeable problems after a couple months of use. Overall rather satisfied with the remote, but Audirvana truly shines with what it sets out to do, which is prioritze audio output quality within your operating system on your PC.

A work in progress Expected more from what is clearly a necessary adjunct to the main program. Main criticism is the poor haptic response, particularly to the "tranport keys". I find this extremely frustrating - had I known this to be the case I wouldn't have wasted my money on either this app, or on the main program. I've tried using the app on two Android tablets, both with the same result. Can't tell from the app what version it is - believe it's the latest - but it feels like it's in beta!

Vin. C. Oct 25, 2019

Good start for a long waited app. Crashes occasionally but re-opens quickly. Three things that could improve the app. 1 - Show Album Artists, not just Artist. 2 - A small visual confirmation that a track has been clicked would be good. 3 - If no album art exists then show a blank, not the previous album's album art please. Please add a quick scroll bar function, like a little grey tabs so we don't have to scroll on and on through all the albums.

Had. M. Oct 19, 2020

decent when it works, which is 70 per cent of the time. plenty of room for improvement, e.g. persistent connection drop-offs, incorrect sorting when 'date added' is selected in album view, erratic touch mapping (tapping on a track plays the track before it), etc. UI could be smoother and cleaner. For something that is part of a $96 USD piece of software one would expect more.

Nice remote for a great sounding piece of software. It works well but one thing I'd really like is better large Tidal library handling in the remote, there are too many and frequent delays as it gets the next batch of albums as you scroll..spoils an otherwise useful tool. Also if we are talking wishlist please add an a-z scroll panel so we can get to the letter we are looking for quickly. Otherwise good work ☺️

About as much use as a chocolate fireguard! Loses control of Audirvana after the first track is played and can't regain control despite restarting the app. And yes it is on the same WiFi network as I use a mesh WiFi. For a product this expensive to purchase this level of unusability is not acceptable. Sorry, just my thoughts.
