Augmented Reality Chess
To be able to play you have to download this image: http://www.contralabs.com/games/chesspieces.png print it, cut the squares (make sure you keep a little white border on each square) and then use it on you favorite board or print: http://www.contralabs.com/games/chess-pieces/board.png.
Touch the screen to re-focus the camera and get better image recognition.
You can scale them up or down, but if you scale down the camera may have trouble recognizing the markers and if you scale up may be difficult to play. But it is up to you! Test it and give me feedback! =]

There's a metric ton of potential here. Guys. Make it social with game saves. Playable against online or physical opponents. Nix the printed pieces. The camera should recognize any checker pattern for playability anywhere, like the kitchen tile. Pan the camera to get the scale of a checker area. Then think about cardboard. Because if youre on the right checkered floor, you could be looking up at 10' tall chess pieces. Now that's a game.
