Tune in Radio works perfectly with good audio quality. Tidal randomly stops playing buy good quality while playing. When I try to push music from my phone or music server, both through the Alink app and MediaMonkey, there is this weird interference/alien kind of sound... fairly quiet but really annoying. Also it randomly stops playing after 5 or 10 minutes and I have to keep pressing play again. Would love if you could fix this because it was my main use for the WR320 box. Using 2.4GHz, have tried 3 different routers and all have the same interference.
App is absolutely useless. One star to one too many. Unable to connect WS300 to wifi using the app. Managed to connect ok using phone settings. If I then run the app it's still trying to connect although it is connected. You need the app to manage multi-room speakers but you cant get off the setup screen. Plays via bluetooth ok.
App works as expected, the negative responses are most likely caused by user error, as the initial connection of any speakers is only possible via a 2.4g WiFi access point, and most modern routers don't split the 2.4g from 5g by default, this in turn requires the user to access their router configuration tool and split the access points manually.
App appears to be constantly playing, thus when I try to play a song via phone or computer wifi it only plays for 1 or 2 secs before disconnecting. Very frustrating as app and speaker WS150 are very good for price. But sadly useless via wifi, works fine if connected via Bluetooth
This app has two bugs 1) the in app feedback option always fails when I try to send. 2) when I start the wr320 in single room mode and aux in selected then try to add it to a multi room group, the app shows it entered but it is still in aux rather than streaming the multi room source.
WR320...Easy setup, plays tidal perfectly and stored music off the phone. Sounds excellent with lossless wifi connection. Hooked up with aux to rca LR into a stereo receiver. So far so good 👍!
I was not able to setup WR320 with it as stated in the manual, but was able to use "Audiocast s" for WR320.
Good app but please add support for Amazon Prime music
App is average but insist on GPS access. Really demanding. AUGUST need to review this requirement.
Unresponsive, hangs frequently.
does not work with Bluetooth only
Why is this separate to august home? That shows up in Google home but this doesn't?
Do I need a speaker? Cause I don't know how to operate this
Sound gets stuck often. Player is not convenient.
Unable to refresh songs in folders
Still VERY buggy. Multiple favourites, presets and quick play make no sense whatsoever. There's no way to specify what to save to. The latest update lost my tunein favourites AND 'My Stations'. And the speaker often doesn't respond - or randomly switches to the next saved station.
No luck in connecting the speakers to my wifi router.. I have emailed customer service but they only told me the same thing the manual tells me to do. Tried reinstalling the app and resetting the speakers countless times. I am connected to the same wifi in the 2.4ghz frequency, so dont ask me to check it again. The app goes thru configuring the connection and getting information but ends up failing always. Only option was to use it thru direct wifi connection with the speaker or Bluetooth connection. Works better on ipad surprisingly, once you get thru the initial setup, it's okay. Multiroom works good, the app is just very unstable and moody..sometimes it's flawless, most of the time you need patience, A LOT. Anyway, I hope they would update this to work with google or alexa.
Wifi never links to august speaker.
Owned the WS300 & WRS320 for a few months now. The WS300 sound is great for such a small speaker. The multi-room works great over wireless, but you can only use the multi-room function via the app and the streaming services compatible with it. Some of these also require the premium subscription. However, even as a standalone over bluetooth, the sound is still great and in bluetooth mode, you can use any service you like then and don't have to use the ALink app. You loose te multi-room functionality though. Great speaker and app, limited by the need for premium streaming service for multi-room function (unless playing local music files), if you don't want the additional monthly subscription cost.
