Aura Frames

The frame functionality is excellent but the app needs refining. Invited users should not be able to change frame settings such as timing and order, and they should only be able to see, edit and delete the photos they themselves uploaded. Having a setting that differentiates between regular and super users would fix this issue. Currently, invited users have complete control and can see and delete all pics. Maybe that's ok for tech-ignorant grandparents, but it limits the frame's usefulness.

When our baby was born, we purchased a frame for every grandparent, and they've been a fantastic gift. The app is intuitive and easy to use, and I love that it's interactive. I believe it's the app that makes these frames so great. Uploading photos is simple, as is removing and repositioning the images. It's a gift that keeps on giving as long as I remember to add photos!

Needs more control. The frame is amazing and the app is so easy a caveman can do it. However, with children contributing to the frame (along with adult children) I prefer to have a master control over the settings so no one can just randomly delete something or someone, or add anyone. There needs to be a creator specific login. That would make this perfect.

I would give a higher rating of I han a lot more control over the pictures. Here are a few. 1. I would like to be able to sequence the pictures in the order, not necessarily by date. 2. Would like the ability to pause a picture then return to slide show. 3. I would like a second power cord to easily move the frame when friends or family are visiting. The best overall place for it is on my desk in my home office. To hard to move plug where I chose to put the frame. I may order another power cord.

The app is both easy and intuitive to use, and the ability that it (in conjunction with the Aura photo frames) provides for multiple users to easily add and remove photos to the frame(s) from anywhere in the world is fantastic. We have ultimately purchased 4 Aura picture frames for friends and family. 1, who has terminal cancer, is so happy to be able to see the best parts of her life, from friends, she cried from the joy it brought her. Great way to share memories and experiences, and connect!

App was easy to install. Easy to use. Fast at uploading. Clarity of pictures is perfect. We have 8 children between us. We live in three different states. The ability for us to share pictures and memories so easily is priceless. We only wish our frame was bigger : )

Frame keeps telling me the wifi signal is too weak. The frame is less than 2 feet away from the same router my phone is connected to. If I let it try to connect for a long enough time, the frame will reboot. It should not be this hard to connect to my frame.

Love how easy the app is to use. I got this for my grandmother for Christmas and have multiple people using the app to add pictures for her. She really enjoys it, but always asks us what pictures are from where, etc. Would be very nice to have the ability to add a description of the image to display with the picture in the app so she could see that info in real time.

Not sure what happened or when but the "Show Now" feature always worked but no longer does. After adding a picture no matter who added it, we could tap "show now" and view the latest frame addition on the frame. But that no longer works. Minus one star.

I wish the timer settings allowed for a little more customization. But otherwise it's super easy to use, clarity is excellent, colors really pop. I strongly recommend.

I love that others can share their photos. I dont like that everyone gets a notification when changes are made by anyone. Unless that feature can be turned off and I dont know about it

Super easy and loveeee the frame. However, I do feel like the frame repeats pictures and doesn't necessarily cycle through all the photos...

Excellent and easy way to share pictures. Also, the customer service is 5 star. Our original frame stopped working for some reason and they immediately sent us another frame.

This app was good and now it won't let me upload my photos from a specific album rendering it nearly completely useless I was about to buy some more of these and now I'm not going to because apparently all it takes is one bad update for the entire system to stop working

This is great. My family started out with 1 for my mom as a gift; now, all 3 adult children all have an Aura frame. It's a fun way to share photos. I love seeing photos show up on my frame that I would otherwise rarely see. One request: I like to see what is in everyone's albums, but I'd like to have more than 1 album on my frame and switch them as I choose. As in, 1 album is just visible by my household and can choose between that and another album, which is shared with many people.

I purchased the frame to be able to keep my parents up to date with our kids. We live in Alaska and they are in Texas so it's a bit of distance between us. Being able to upload pictures as we take them so that they can have them to be able to display is great. It is better than looking at them on a small phone screen. I love the frame and app.

My videos do not download. Not sure why. Most of the time the "show now" option does not work. Pictures DO download quickly and efficiently though!

Let's face it, digital frames are only as good as the apps used to upload and manage the pictures. This app is easy and user friendly. I bought a frame for two sets of grandparents and I upload pictures to both frames at the same time with a single click from Google Photos. Note that anyone with the app connected to the frame can control all the settings; great for helping from a distance, not so great if someone wants to medle (I look bad in this group photo: delete) so use the email address.

The features that work are great. It's easy to upload photos and I like being able to have new photos of my toddler on display at a moment's notice. However, 'control' features need some work. The help section tells me I can hide unwanted photos, but the instructions don't match what's in the app and so photos must be removed. If I had the choice to approve member-added photos before they're uploaded to the frame (a simple tick box under member info) it wouldn't be an issue.

The Aura frame and app are fantastic. It was super easy to set up and add photos. There are lots of neat touches in the app. Everything works flawlessly, though seeing newly posted images in the frame can be delayed if adding a lot of photos at once. My husband was skeptical initially, but now he's a believer and has added more photos than me!

The app is simple to use, and once the app and frame is set up, it is very good. The downgrade in stars is because as far as I can tell, everyone invited can see all of the pictures in the frame and all of the activities, who has posted and what they posted. Everyone can modify settings. There should be a owner section to control setting. Allowing everyone to see more than what they personally posted can create conflict and competition.

So far no issues. Setup didn't go the way it was supposed to with the welcome message and picture but no problems adding pictures. I agree with other users, invited members should not have the same permissions as the owners but I love that family can add pictures too. Mine stays connected and responds to settings immediately. I haven't tried out every feature but for what I'm using it for, it's good.

Got this as a gift and had some difficulty setting it up. But I think it was because I was in too much of a hurry. It seems to work well but the random shuffle doesn't seem very random, it keeps showing the same pictures and skipping others.. Also it needs a way to add text to the picture so we can label when it was taken and who/what is in the picture

I have a iPhone I needed to shut off service to, and needed someplace to keep my photos. Found the Aura, got it, and discovered this to be one of the easiest apps to transfer pictures onto the device. No fuss, super simple. The screen displays beautiful colors, even better than some of the original images. Through the app, it enables you to make changes to the screen timing and delete photos. It also allows you to let others share as well. I'm thinking of getting a 2nd Aura frame. Great product!

App frequently crashes. Lately, the photo currently on display in the app is not accurate to what's showing on the frame. And the Show Now feature isn't working.

Updates needed. 1: the ability to add all pictures from one frame to another with one click. 2: The ability to schedule it to be off on the weekends.

It's ok. Latency issues, vids aren't playing (also - app says volume doesn't sound unless you physically enable on the frame while video is being played - which is dumb as you should have ability to play with sound and then just mute from phone app if want sound off). I had a digital photo frame about 20 years ago that performed better than this one.

I was hesitant to install the frame but my brother came to visit from out town. He installed it and some my photos. I'm absolutely pleased with the frame. It selects photo's and mixes photos by itself in a very effective manner.

I was sceptical at first due to the need to type in the wireless password into a web portal (not the device iteself). So a third party has your local wireless password stored in its database. With that withstanding I think the idea of how the photos are shared is awesome. It even lets you push a button for hearts to let everyone know which photos you like the most. So 4 stars for the look and idea of the device. Taking 1 star for security/setup reasons. Its not chicom (its silicon valley).

Basic functionality doesn't work. When you try to change the wifi, a number flashes on the frame for about 3 seconds but the app stays frozen on a screen that says connecting. I have a regular pixel 5 phone. Tried restarting both my phone and the frame. Can't even set up the frame properly. Didn't work for my wife with her iphone either but he's would freeze at the screen after mine. I've had frames from 15 years ago that worked with more reliability.
