High Hopes! All the pop- ups were frustraing and then having to constantly close them to continue where I was only to find out you have to buy a subscription; or all the helpful options were locked without premium purchase. I am pretty disappointed that I could not really give this app a stress free try without having to give my credit card in order to get the 7 day free trial. I finally found out the free version only offers one free meditation a day after reading reviews. That's all.
I've paid for an annual subscription but only get access to the freemium stuff. When I signed up it was not that intuive to select plans, confusing enough to just opt for the full year upfront. I might be slightly off here, but something as fundamental as selecting a payment plan should be straight forward and user friendly. This was not. It left me feeling tricked. I've emailed them three times about my issue, don't get a response. Want my money back. Wish this wasn't limited to 500 characters.
I got offered a free subscription for a time but I am going to be honest and so far I am enjoying the app. It's actually has been surprisingly helpful, I have tried many apps in the past that I ended up deleting because they weren't working. I still believe there also still quite a bit of room for improvement, like more sound options and some more variety of instrumental music. I think menu could some work as well but overall I am very happy with this app.
I have anxiety and depression and these are brilliant for getting one out of one's head and refocusing attention. They are very profound, meaningful and immensely calming. I wish each audio could be a little longer when required, but I don't mind the wait between audios. The reminders are useful in persuading you to take a moment, even if you feel you might not need it.
Hi there, the meditations are great. I noticed that the app works well on my phone with a 16:9 display (Galaxy Note 3) but on my other phone with 18:9 tall display the scaling is buggy, and I cannot navigate properly. Encourage you guys to fix it, as I think it will resolve many of users' technical problems (based on other reviews). Will rate 5 star if that is fixed.
Really thought this would be a good app and very useful but technically it is in bad shape. I have the latest Samsung phone and all updated as well as use many other apps successfully including meditation apps. Aura kept freezing up and was very slow in its application. I couldn't even get the sounds to stop because frozen up - couldn't even shut it down, so finally had to uninstall it to stop the sounds. The app idea is great but needs technical work.
Love the app and I prefer this over similar products. Unfortunately, a major component seems to be lacking, which is the ability to connect to smart speakers (something a competing app makes very simple). May seem small but when using this for relaxation and help falling asleep, it's a meaningful feature.
Intermittently the audio sounds as if there is a short in the wiring, kind of like a skip or drop in volume while listening to an LP. This seems to happen on on a regular cycle of time, every minute or so. This drop or short disturbs my concentration. I am considering canceling my subscription.
This app is great for me. It is easy to use, the meditations are easy to follow and vary from being long or short. I like how the theme is carried over from one meditation to another. Dislikes, the program is glitchy at times and I can never save a Comment I put in. This is frustrating because I paid for the app. Over all I am satisfied with the meditations offered.
Absolute garbage customer service. Tried the app and quite liked it initially. So decided to purchase the trial premium option. I canceled on the day the trial ended, and they refused to give me a refund. I have no problem with the app at all, it worked well for me. If it works for you power to you. Just no wiggle room whatsoever when I canceled even though it was within the trial period.
Great for those who need to relax every now or then.. Great breathing exercises and meditation Has also a relaxing soundboard like sea/beach/forest/waterfall/piano sounds I recommend this app to students so that they can restore their concentration when they get distracted Just the time between every session is sometimes too long, wish it can be shorter because sometimes I really need to do another session especially if the first one didn't work out for me very well.
If like to give it a 5 but there's no ability to create a playlist and when sessions are 3 minutes, that isn't helpful. There's also apparently no way to contact anyone through the app for support.
You guys send way too many push notifications. They are well written, but far too frequent. To add, the pushes end up to a screen where I'm blocked from doing anything. Your app at a technology standpoint is bad. Best of luck but you guys have lots of work to do.
Edited after refund* They refunded me so everything's fine. I'm leaving 3 stars as such a thing shouldn't even happen. The reason I didn't like the app was because it crashed a lot (first 2 days didnt have any problem) and the screen to choose a meditation from is not very user friendly /// I was using the 7 days trial, and as I didnt like the app, I canceled my subscription TWO days ago. Today I got charged with the full year subscription. I WANT MY MONEY BACK
I originally rated this app 5 stars. I have anxiety and severe insomnia. I absolutely loved this app for the first 2 months. Now it won't let me access it. Everytime I open the app, it immediately shuts down. I send a feedback report, but have received no help. I finally emailed, but it doesn't appear it will be fixed that way either. I would like to to cancel my subscription and receive a refund if I'm not going to receive any tech support.
I want to badly give Aura 5 stars, however the app itself has been an issue for me, not the content. Love the content and to that, 10 stars! however, after 50 days of mindfulness (which clearly means I upgraded) the app reverted back to what seems the trial membership. it keeps asking I upgrade when I already paid and am owed the service I paid for. I've emailed at least 3 x about this issue since yesterday (which is way too long...over 24hrs now.) They messaged back about fixing it but waiting..
I had some issues and frustrations in the trial period. But Bernadette in customer service was wonderful, resolving these. I love the app and look forward to a long re look relationship with Aura. Namaste!
I love this app i downloaded it during the start of lockdown and im hooked 6 months down the line! I meditate daily and have meditations for just about everything. Its so easy to use. As someone whos never meditated before now they have all different kinds of meditations...anyone can do It!! Its improving my sleep habits and great for anxiety and changing the way I look at Things!! Thank you Aura!!
Fair warning: they won't tell you when they're going to charge you for annual renewal, and if you contact them to ask about it they won't bother to reply to your emails. My fault for not double checking in advance that it wouldn't auto-renew? Yes. Are Aura one of those companies that makes their money by charging people for renewals they don't want and staying quiet about it until after they've taken the money? Also yes.
Another app I have in my phone offered me a free subscription of Aura. I decided to try it out since I've always been interested in meditation. I love it! The free subscription is going to end in a few months but I'm definitely going to renew it. It's been so helpful at managing my stress and anxiety. There's so many different meditations to chose from. And the daily quotes are usually on point. Very happy with it!
LOVE the interface! The leveling up is a great feature, too. I'm using the free version of the software, so, I wouldn't feel right giving it 5 stars. But, so far, it's one of my favorite meditation apps. I've been using Black Lotus, which I also like, but, Aura seems to have a lot more substance to it. If I decide to purchase a month or a year, I'll edit my review.
You have to pay for a lot of soundtracks and they're only 3 minutes long for free ones. also the app stays on all night if you dont physically turn it off after listening. I really enjoy listening to these when I have struggle going to sleep so please fix this. otherwise it helps me a lot :)
The cost is a bit steep for an app that keeps closing, and is missing many features other apps have. Limited content as well. Insight timer has everything and it's free. It was quite a red flag for me that once I created an account - it wanted my card info.
Replay/rewind not is in android version. If i want to rewind or replay a session it is not possible. Very frustrating. This is available in apple version so its really annoying to know it can be done.
Tried the app for 7 day trial but decided to uninstall it on 7th day because sessions are too short for what I need. I was still charged for the annual subscription. You folks need to change your billing policy to bill on day 8, not day 7 of free trial. If it wasn't for that, I'd have rated your app more than 2 stars. I'd like a refund for the annual subscription you billed me for. Thank you.
