Aurora Buddy

I used this app for 2 years. No real changes made to it, nothing added to make it better, none of the input from people that have and use these apps has been used to make it better. Uninstalled. Found a much better app, more accurate and with needed info like timeframe, estimated viewing time/times as well as astrological phenomenon that's also viewable. If I have to pay to buy an app its going to have everything I want and need, sorry. 2 years is plenty of time to make this better

I would buy the pro version but there are some negative reviews of that one. I would like some of those features but want them to work. This one is basic but works great. Haven't missed an opportunity to photo the aurora since downloading. Update 12-2014 : this app no longer works or notifies you if anything. When it is opened is doesn't display any information. I would no longer recommend this app.

New rating: 1 star. Great potential but since POES and other updates from NOAA Space Weather, this app is now obsolete. Needs a simple upgrade to the new forecasting system. Amy at ABN Former rating from 2011: Great job with app. Would love forecasts. Thanks from Aurora borealis notifications.

The data never gets updated. The Dev used to be good in fixing the constant bugs in the update system, but the app hasn't been updated since early 2012. This app used to be great, but is now totally unreliable - And I'd never stump up £6 for the full version! (The Pro version has now vanished, so I'm guessing that this nor the pro version are likely to ever be updated.)

I have been using this app for more than a year now and have found it suits my requirements well. It presents data about upcoming aurora activity in a clear easily understandable format with a map (that isnt the size of a postage stamp and really low res, like other apps I have tried). I really like the notification alearts that can be configured for different levels. For a free app I would have given this 5 stars, but a recent update has resulted in aurora data being unavailable: UNKNOWN. Hence only 3*

Its so sad that an app with so much potential fails so badly - once again this has crashed and still shows the data from several days ago ........ it seems that everytime there is any activity then aurora buddy dies - which makes the whole thing pretty pointless But what really amazes me is that the advert for the pro version is still there ...... how on earth do you think anyone would even consider paying all that money for a more complicated version when the basic one is so useless?? I really want an aur

It used to work so well, but not anymore. Strength and time still won't update, despite the bug being "fixed". :( The app will get 5 stars from me, once it actually works again on my Galaxy S4.

Had pro version all was great until recently when it all stopped working. Now no pro available and this doesnt work either.

Used to great, hasn't worked for months. Uninstalled and downloaded again numerous times but still not working on HTC One M8

Absolutely nothing happens in this app except a message asking you to buy the prop version, and then a status saying unavailable despite having just updated. And then it's completely unresponsive. Useless.

I used this app all the time. But now it doesn't work at all. Emailed the developer months ago asking what had happened but I have not received a response. I will be uninstalling this app now.

Used to be great but no longer updates since Nov\Dec 2014. Says strength unknown. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still does not work on tablet or phone. This app was last updated in 2012. Looks like the developer has lost interest. Other functioning aurora apps available on play store. Uninstalling Aurora Buddy.

This used to be an amazing app to use. I have uninstalled 3 times and still get the message that it's unavailable. Need to get this fixed ASAP! Get this fixed then I'll come back and give it 5 stars. If I could I wouldn't give it any stars period.

Since the pro crapped out AFTER I paid for it, this will have to do. I emailed to allow you to make it right and you ignored it...

App will download but I get Installation Failed error. Tried rebooting but no help.

What's up with this app? Where I live we don't get to see the Northern Lights much at all, so an app that works would be nice. Are the programmers on vacation? Every time I have clicked on the app, I get the same screen with absolutely no information. Either fix it or get rid of it out of Play Store!

Worked for a few weeks now it does not work. Doesn't update only says unknown all the time.

I've had this on my Sony phone for ages and it works well. It does not work on my Xperia tablet, which is frustrating

Opened it up and there is only one screen, of an aurora and nothing else. Complete waste of time

I was a loyal user. I used the app to help me chase the lights in Alaska. It worked amazing. Until last night that is. Whenever I opened it told me all info was "unknown."

I loved this app. Today I noticed the northern lights while driving and looked at the app. it said unknown. I would have loved to have been notified of the strenght or to look up the strenght at least.... Still

It doesn't update now even though the bug is supposedly fixed. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. No luck. I used to love it. :(

. The status on the app is "unknown" all the time, regardless of how many times you try to refresh it. Nice idea in theory.

This is a pretty slick, very streamlined app with all of the basic functionality of NOAA's POES satellite web page. The alert function however, seems a bit sporadic.

The free app is essentially a single screes that shows any possibility of the Aurora. That's it. No maps, nothing. The disclaimer before opening it the first time indicates the free app will not get updated. This app does not make me want to pay for the upgrade.

Kp does not update. Has had Kp at 3.0 from USAF for 3 days now. Sat image from NOAA POES is updating correctly. Please fix.

Used to be great, now after the update it does nothing.
