Aurora Notifier

looks beautiful but I've had it for several months, it gives notifications in real time, thus you can't plan and wait for it. I usually saw the notification in the morning. As for the few times it happened in the evening, there was no sign of aurora outside, while colleagues told me about auroras I did not get any notification for... Conclusion: useless app!

This app has completely stopped working this week. It just says refreshing all the time. This happened once before and lasted several weeks before it was fixed.

Have had this one for years and still the best. Gives me good visual of the live Aurora data. KP threshold a good feature too.

Doesn't work anymore. Sends out kp alerts over 5 when it's cloudy and raining even tho theres nothing on other forecast sites and apps.

I always used this app but it doesn't work anymore, no data.

It's not a very good app for using. Need this canceled.

Wish I could move it to the SD card. When it works it's great otherwise.

Notifications aren't working anymore on my Essential phone. Could it be Android 9? I have the notifier add-on app.

Got a notification tonight that it was KP 9! Call my mom and rushed my family out north of town only to find absolutely nothing. Checked it again and it said KP 5. What a crock. If you use this be sure to check with news agencies and other aurora sites to confirm the prediction.

Fairly crappy, but sadly this is one of the better ones - it actually functions. The alerts are awful, and there's no prediction -- you'll be notified the next morning that the KP index was high the previous night

I have had this app for 2 years and it has been great but it no longer will not notify me anymore. Notifications are on so I don't know what the issue is

It charged me for an upgrade. The upgrade was a link to a free public web page. Scam

The notifications are timely and accurate. Several times I've received an alert walked out on my porch to see the sky glowing green!

I've had this for a few years and it was useful, but the notifications no longer appear. Better off using Twitter.

This app provides real time alerts and has a great visual. Great App.

Works great. I just got the add-on so that I'll only get notified when it's dark, but this app had been spot on.

I am in Oklahoma and getting the same notifications I got in Minnesota. Why? No way will I see the auroras here.

Good indication of auroral activity with useful data. Seems to be reliable. Unable to test notifications, but at least the app data is updated reliably.

When I go to Settings, the app immediately closes, so practically useless for me..

Actually managed to see the aurora thanks to this app delighted!!

But it needs a material design face-lift.

I would have expected it to use a weather service to check for clouds (don't notify me if it's cloudy), and to change thresholds based on magnetic latitude (lower kp threshold when you are closer to the poles). Paying for the full version to turn off notifications during daylight is an absolute joke!

Its off by at least 3 to 6 hours late of the data comming from the Boulder observatory. By the time this app indicates any suggestion of a geomagnetic disturbance, its long since past.Certainly pretty to look at, but completely useless and not worth an upgrade at this point.

The warnings are based on the Kp index but no mention of the Bz. If the Bz is south then there is a chance of a visible aurora, if the Bz is north then earth's magnetic shields are up and little chance of an visible aurora.

Better than any others, had the info I want.
