AUS Rain Radar - Bom Radar

Really like the fact that since the update all the information I need is on the one page. The radar image is clearer than the BOM app. My only comment is that the rainfall etc info doesn't update during the day.

I paid to have ads removed but I still get the ads even afterwards.

Thanks for this app Leon, simple, clear, concise elegant. Well worth the $2. Two possible suggestions (1) improve the load time. It seems to stick on the blue intro screen for a very long time? Maybe even have the app progress to the info page with a place holder for the map as the app loads in the background. This will give the impression of it loading faster. (2) include a pinch to zoom option. The current tap to zoom works well once you get used it, but is not intuitive to new users. Cheers.

I do love this app but ... Paid up for this app for long time now but still sometimes get full volume, full screen advertising that I'm forced to watch before I can view map! I notice that you indicate to another review that you have removed loud full screen adds, but I can assure you that you have not. Please fix this. Update. Hi Leon, still occasionally getting adds. When I select 'remove adds' in menu I get an error message. They're the annoying adds that you can't close till they finish.

Very good. A simplified version, using BOM data. Wx radar is straight from BOM. Easy to use with all the essential, basic info. without the complexity and intricate detail of the BOM site. Highly recommended for the occasion where all you want is a quick look at the basics of the weather, without the clutter. 4.5 stars

Excellent app. The free version: loud audio ads early morning. My first use of the day is in bed to check the weather and that's the mostly likely time a loud 5 second audio ad appears which wakes up my wife. Otherwise the simplicity and usability is great. If it had a synoptic chart I'd be more inclined to buy it. *update* as it only cost $2, i decided to buy the app to remove the ads. Good value for $ thanks

The app itself is good...in that it is simple and just gives you the Radar view instantly...great for that. Probably should have rated it as 2 stars because of the pervasive ads...it often covers the entire screen as soon as you start the app...such that I think I must have pressed the wrong button..so pressing the back or Escape key...the ad closes and the Radar app appears. Totally inappropriate..so I have it on my phone in the hope the Dev. changes it some day...then and only then will I pay

So far its an ok app ut before was a good app now im not so sure it tells me I live Grafton where I dont live there at all live in Flinders view qld 🤷‍♀️😑🤔 to make people ♥ this app make sure it's updated all the time look for Faults in the app and people will like it more im in q bit of a Disagreement over this app and the bom app I said this app is better to my brother plz dont make me regret it have a good day or night 👍☺

I love your app. I have a suggestion. Would it be able to add a measuring option where you can click on the map at 2 points and it can tell you how long it will take for the rain to reach another point based on the time it took to cover the distance between the 2 points. It works be so helpful to predict when the rain will arrive. Keep up the good work. Heinrich

New phone today and reinstalled the app. Great radar view. Yes there is adds but I can live with that.

Great quick-loading rain forecast. Beats pulling up a full data-heavy weather app in rural Vic to follow approaching rain patterns. Great on farm. Would love app to include a 1000km radius map to provide a broader, though still locally relevant, perspective on approaching system patterns across from the west. Otherwise excellent app. Thank you!

Would give 5/5 if it displayed the highest and lowest temperatures achieved so far on the current day. Eg, it's 2pm current temp 22, highest 26 at 1.30pm, lowest 9 at 6.30am. Aus Weather has it (as does pocket weather). Quite a lot of people find this useful. Also checking the weather in the morning it's interesting to know how low the temperature went. Just add it!

Very simple, classy App. I dont need all fancy pictures that are only Weather Eye Candy. This little App is a solid good basic App, but I would like to see Moon Phases, Tide Charts and Pollen Alerts. These added features would encompass extra needs for people who rely on this information. Keep up with the good work.

Good app spoiled by Ads even though I've paid the money to remove them. I don't get as many as I used to but they still pop up fairly frequently and it was a payment I understood to REMOVE the Ads completely. Other reviews concur the Ad sound is annoying especially as we often browse when in the company of others doing other things. It's a shame as this app is otherwise more user friendly than BOMs own website, but I'm considering returning to BOMs ad-free platform now.

So far so good! I like the simple, clean user interface. Very user-friendly. Have just removed the actual BOM app as the new version is awful. This app so far is refreshing, clean and has all the basic requirements I need. Good work! p.s: I've even paid for the no-add version as the creator has done a good job.
