I wasn't notified that a pretty expensive delivery had arrived and was ready to pick up, and now it's been returned to sender. Seems to have been sent a random post office, not one the sender actually can get to to retrieve it. The so called enquiry process is useless, just auto-generated junk messages that provide no assistance. This problem isn't solely to do with the app but given how pointless (and difficult) it is to get in touch with Australia Post I'll complain where I can!
Australia post app is okay, the actual service is pathetic... I'm not critising the delivery service, it's the pathetic sorting that is absolutely shocking... packages regularly are wrongly directed to destinations nowhere near the address, only to be sent back to be sorted again.. Kearney Springs seems to be unbelievable and don't seem to get it right very often.. if there's a problem in transit, you can bet it's been sent to Townsville instead of Warwick, Qld. Bring back Christine Holgate
i have requested the items to be left at my front door for a reason. I have had to call Australia Post before stating why i want the items to be left at my front door. Still i don't know where the item has been left even though i got a message saying it has been delivered. if item is left at my front door, i can see it because of the cctv cameras. It's definitely not there. I'm not at home right now to even check my letterbox which is by the main road!
NEVER can redirect. it's says it's an option but that's not what I get. I NEVER BEEN ABLE TO REDIRECT my post even if I apply to do this as soon as I ordered item. My parcels get left in rain, get stolen and I think Australia Post needs to be more responsive and MORE RESPONSIBLE. I never thought Australia Post would get this bad. If I had another postal service to choose, I would definitely NEVER go through Australia Post ever again.
Very convenient if you live near a locker. Would have given it 5 but I was a bit soured by an experience I had today. My parcel wasn't left in a locker (a side was 40cm, the limit is 39cm apparently lol) and the app gave info collect after hours untill 6pm at "Parcel Collection Door", I arrived at 5:50pm but no answer. Either the app's information was wrong or no one bothered to answer the door 🤷
Aust post has lost too many items lately. Some very valuable and some not valuable but integral to items I am repairing. This meant customers items were unable to be returned within a quoted time frame costing me greatly in some cases. The process for delivery needs to be followed more closely and the $100 limit to compensate if lost should be assessed each case. I could elaborate on individual incidents but the detail and lengths that aus post goes to deny accountability is too much to review
The Worst parcel delivery service i have experienced any where in the world. my last 2 parcels were miraculously found & delivered 2 days after filing a missing parcel report. I have 3 more parcels in transit but I'm not expecting to see them in the next 3 or 4 weeks. You really can not keep excusing incompetence for Covid or floods. Unfortunately it will not let me give zero stars
occasionally the parcel arrives before the notification but over all it is fantastic. All other carriers need to catch up to ausposts superior level of notifications. I work in logistics so I am more than qualified to compare.
BROKEN. UNTRUSTWORTHY SYSTEM. AusPost truly retarded, don't know if they are coming or going, ready to collect or in transit. Sending notifications to pickup a delivered item that is still in transit. Systems are out of sync and sparks are flying!
I've noticed the app has started providing small time slots telling you when exactly to expect your delivery, and the drivers actually make pictures now so that you can see where the parcel was left. Very good job. Very happy with AusPost service, honestly never let me down.
There is not enough information given on the progress of a package. The first update was "processing" when it was picked up, then simply "delayed" with no reason, and then "out for delivery" but woth less than 2 hours notice, so I had already made other plans. The way to get 4 stars is to get at least the same level of information in package processing updates as the DHL app. The way to get 5 stars is to have more information than the DHL app.
Very functional, updates usually right on time with delivery notifications and it's great that the driver can take photos when they leave an item in a safe place. One thing I think would be an improvement is the ability to check the gps of the truck to see where the driver is. Sometimes I have waited to go do something thinking my parcel would arrive soon but it's taken a long time. Or it's come nice an early in the day. To have a better rough idea of time would be very helpful.
The app itself is ok, when it's working properly. Sometimes my packages seem to be stuck in transit for days on end and without notice has already been delivered. My main issue is the delivery side of things. A few times my packages have been left downstairs and not brought up to my unit even with clear instructions on the box to not leave it unattended yet they still do. Very frustrating. They need to stop being lazy and do their jobs properly.
