Australian Birds Sounds Free
Featuring the Australian King Parrot, Channel Billed Cuckoo, Crimson Rosella, Golden Whistler, Superb Fairy Wren and many more birds!
Bird Sounds can be played by tapping on a bird picture. All sounds can be saved as Ringtones, Notifications and Alarms by long pressing on a bird and selecting the relevant option.
Birds can be grouped by family or alphabetical order (with and without headings) using the Menu Settings.
A Birdwatching checklist is included allowing you to tick off birds you have seen. Tapping on a bird on the checklist screen allows you to view more information about the bird on Wikipedia or perform an image search via Google images.
Personal Lists can be created too! Create a list of your favorite birds, or add birds that you've seen on a recent bird watching trip. Birds can be added to your lists from the checklist screen.
Mini games are also included helping you to learn the different birds found in this app: Guess the Picture, Guess the Sound and Guess the Name.
In App Billing is supported via the 'Remove Ads' button. Upon purchasing this upgrade this app will not serve any advertisements. All future app updates will also not receive any adverts too.
Permissions are required for saving birds sounds. All images and sounds used are royalty free.

it would be a wonderful app if it worked. i have downloaded it 4 times and paid for the advert free option. the app keeps crashing and i re-download it and once again pay and once again it crashes. i really wish it worked because the few times it worked for me i found it very useful.
Lovely app, beautiful pictures and the audio is clear for most bird calls. Some could be better quality but overall quite good. Love this app. Thank you for putting such a fantastic educational resource together.
Took some figuring out. To save as ringtones etc you need to go into app permissions and allow storage. Doesn't save otherwise :( I paid for it, deleted it, then had another go!
Handy app, but a very incomplete collection. Sounds are quite variable in quality.
I bought the ad free version but cannot download any sounds. I have emailed the developer, but no answer yet. I want a refund but can't see where to request it.
The one and only time I needed to know what sound the Boobook owl made, and it is not listed. Cannot trust the apps integrity.
Very handy not just for the bird calls also the photographs are clear and I find them very useful in unfamiliar habitat.
Worked fine on my previous phone. Installed on my new phone and it crashes everytime i try to open it.
This app use to be good. Following upgrades it does not load making it a waste of time. This so does not work on Oppo.
Crashes on launch. Possibly a permissions problem, but it doesn't tell me so I can't fix it.
No option to play songs on repeat. Also unable to set songs as ringtone, says unable

I tried to change the format of the bird listings and the app now fails to work.
Great bird app I take blootooth speaker out and use WiFi to call birds in its realy excellent way to teach people about birds in your area fantastic

Thank you for this app. A great effort! I find the scrolling maddening as it seems to suddenly zoom several pages on a single gentle swipe. I somehow managed to get a single linear list of birds with pics and scrolling then worked well. I'm still trying to work out how to select that view again. Also I suggest adding the name Peewee to the Magpie Lark - very commonly used. Thanks folks.
