This App wouldn't initially run on our Google Pixel phones. Then magically 5 days later the App and website (where a User Guide can be downloaded) just started working. We're so relieved. We wasted much time unsuccessfully trying to get a refund. Keep this in mind if you do decide to buy. There is no support. The developer and contact email addresses bounced. Google Play also rejected our request for a refund.
Not easy to use, doesn't have a comprehensive list of foods. Needs a bar code scanner. Didn't have things like coffee or brands that are in Australian supermarkets which is the only reason i bought it. Very disappointed
When will this be updated to version 2. ?? I cannot get the updated version from Android Market (Google Play Store says my google pixel phone is not compatible to get Android Market) ,nor the Blackberry store, nor Iphone store as advertised on your website.
As a type 1 diabetic, couldn't recommend this app enough! So much food on it.
Potentially good but missing some foods.
Eye opening for our entire family trying to support our son with type 1 DM.
The last update has caused problems- errors every time it starts and foods previously there have disappeared.
I have only just started counting carbs (type 1 diabetes) this has been invaluable. Well worth the investment
It was a great app but now there's no foods under any of the takeaways (like McDonalds, Domino's, etc) and for some reason Thai food isn't there either which is a bit weird.
Updated review- it's good at what it does, however there is definitely better out there. I've owned this app for over a year and rarely used it.
Love this app. We use it daily
Needs updating. Use it often and is really helpful but as others have said it sometimes shows white screens and has stopped being able to scroll so can only find food with the search function.
Can't scan for new foods
Search functionality should be updated. Add more foods
My 6 year old has diabetes and we used the pocket book prior to owning this app. We were always forgetting the book, not a problem any longer. Also fantastic to be able to save regular meals in there and search for food. This app is expensive, but I am happy to pay a premium price for a specialty app like this (still 6 dollars cheaper than the pocket sized book). Interface is simple and usable. With the recent update today this app is vastly improved, scrolling much improved, prettier interface, faster operation. Very good improvement. There is still a bit of room for performance improvement (remove the remaining bit of lag), giving it a 5 star rating as it is just so useful to me and my family. I have no hesitation in recommending this application, especially to those people used to using the related book(s).........the app is that useful that I think I have convinced my wife to move to Android from WP7 just to be able to use it.
Was a great app before last update. Then there was a technical glitch which was very promptly rectified. Now it is even better with an improved look. Very extensive data base with numerous locally (Australian) available food products listed. Very useful resource in day to day meal planning
Be very careful when downloading. I paid for it and didn't notice it was all Australian foods and brands.
Not worth the money.
Uploaded this app to use for my carb counting....could not find carbs for lots of common foods in Australia/NZ like fish&chips(as I don't have this food often I would welcome this info)....shame on you to charge $$ for this app.please don't waist your money.
No database problems here.
Was recommended this app so purchased it and that was as far as I got. When the app tried to load it's database it continually says there is an error. I emailed, to the address on the app, to query the issue, and was advised that the email could not get through to the address. Tried the link to to website, advised it could not be found. Not at all happy paying $9.99 and getting nothing
