Update: After emailing support they told me it's my fault for not backing up my data. I’ve lost all my receipts and records of trips thanks to this rubbish app. Don't trust it. ZERO STARS The app updated and deleted all my recorded trips and expenses and deleted my logbook. How am I supposed to get this information back?

The app was good an year ago. Just after the face-lift it got terrible. Failed backup, slow loading etc. It looks like the original developers are not there anymore? Who got the contract now???

I've got no idea how I can record my vehicle trips. I've followed the online guide but mine doesn't have the same options. I can enter the vehicle but no option to record trips. I've spent months trying to work it out...what am I doing wrong?

Amazing app. Taxes made so easy. My deductible items easily transferred for a quick refund at the end of financial year.

Can you please put the my deductions icon back on the main screen? It appears there before logon, then changes once you log in. There are too many options to go and find it when it used to be a single click.

Never works. When I first got it, it worked and was great, but since then, no matter how many updates are rolled out and installed, it never makes it past a white page that has a loading circle spinning endlessly. Would love to be able to use this app. Unfortunately, it refuses to function.

Very often you loose gps trip data. There no option to resume from where left or edit incomplete trip. If you accidentally close the app or other technical problems like loss of gps, you loose whole thing. Very poorly designed, like see improvements.

Please make this app compatible with Chrome OS. Then people can make full use of this software on their Chromebooks. Thanks

Really handy to keep record of work related expenses. Syncs automatically to your tax return.

Any function that requires an internet connection now doesn't work. At first it seemed to be just adding a trip, but after going through and checking it seems that THE APP is unable to connect to the net. Used to be a great app. Come on ATO, make tax great again! UPDATE: turning off WiFi and enabling data enabled a connection. I don't want to have to use data when I have WiFi. please fix

Good update for a government app. I used old version for years and new updates are good. Not sure why some reviews say deductions are now hard to add in latest updates. There's a link on the first screen when you open the app just under the log in button. Seems easy to me as I don't want to log in to add a receipt, just want quick access on the go. I mainly use the app to add deductions and receipts but was happy this year to be able to quickly log in and see I could check how my tax return was going. Have waited for this type of option for years.

I can't even log in Edit: Sorted now. Easy app to use.

Third party interference with my phone. As soon as I downloaded the app, my external speaker couldn't play as loud as before. I knew it was the ATO app's fault because the problem didn't exist before I installed it, and uninstalling the app fixed the problem immediately. The volume issue is the only one I noticed, but there are potentially more.

Very unreliable data entry makes it useless. Worked well until yesterday then refuses to save any car trip. Entry seems OK, then when I save te trip te total km doesn't change. If I go back to saved trip the newest ones don't appear. I am worried that my past entries will not be reliable so clearly useless for lodging my tax return. Great idea for this app but clearly not working.

Login into the app has been made unnecessarily complicated and time consuming. Most apps are on the phone right what's the point on making us log in, get a code via text (which defeats the purpose for two point verification) to take a photo of our receipt. Should change it back to the old system that worked like a charm

I downloaded this app so i could quickly add expenses as I go. Since the update, I now have to remember my mygov username and password, and do a text code to login each time. Then I have to go through 3 different screens to get to mydeductions. It's not quick and easy anymore. I appreciate being able to access the other tax info, but for me the app has lost it's primary usability.

I have setup the quick login feature using biometrics but everytime I open the app I get the same message "It's been a while since you have used this device to login, we need to verify your details through myGov again". I have tried all the troubleshooting step but with no success. It is very annoying, as I keep doing the setup all over again and enable quick login, then logout and logback in right away only to see the same error message over and over again. Please provide me with a solution.

It can be more user-friendly and more professional. Looking forward for better versions and updates.

So i saved all my deductions for the 2018/19 financial year with only a few hassles. Now I go to upload all that annoying work but it would only let me upload the one expense I have for the 2017/18 year. No matter what i did, it wouldn't change the year. So i uploaded the 2017/18 hoping it would now let me upload 18/19, but nope. it now says "you are only able to upload your records once per financial year," absolutely useless. thank you for wasting all that time it took to enter a year's worth of expenses.

If u dont manually back up the app specifically you will loose an entire years worth of deductions and receipts if you loose your phone so backup regularly in the app. They really need to make it auto back up every time u add anything. Lucky my receipts were saved in one drive.

Not useful - can't use it for depreciation of home office items. Couldn't find how to modify an expense once it is entered. Appreciate this is at least a start by the ATO to try to make deductions easier to calculate and claim, however needs a lot more functionality to truly deliver.
