The pandemic must've taken a terrible toll on Austrian because I can only guess they had to fire their app developers. That said, I'm still shocked that a national airline can have an app this bad. It's a dumpster fire. I'm going to fly with Austrian in 2 days and, after numerous technical errors (too weird to go into now), I'm still getting a discrepant set of messages between the app and the website as to whether I've paid for a check-in bag. Spoiler: I have paid! Good luck, Austrian.
This app is a joke, Flights aren't shown.... Booking doesn't work.... Check in takes you to another page and you can't actually check in, it doesn't show the boarding pass
The app allows you to check in online, but does not show the boardong pass. I am so upset, of not having the most important thing by hand it is driving me angry. And I could not find any information onlinewhat is wrong.
Stay away from this airline, they will scam you out of your money. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. A company extremely incompetent, shamelessy lying to the customers, trying to gaslight the customers and ultimately robbing you of the money. I can’t still believe that a company behaved like this. Here is my experience: I booked a ticket and had to to have a flight rescheduled. I had to call and write multiple (10+) times, in order to get it done, they were basically playing “hot potato” between “call us” and “email us”. The instructions were always different. Reschedule by this date X, oh no, sorry, can’t be done, call us by date Y (which was after date X). Then I call after date Y and they try gaslighting me and tell me I should have called by date X. Since I had emails from them, I called them out on it. After the 10+calls/emails back and forth they finally confirm me the rescheduling and told me that I will soon got my tickets. 3 weeks later I still haven’t gotten any new tickets. I call and they tell me “yes, it might take up to 1 month for us to do the re-booking, but everything is fine”. 1.5 months pass and still no tickets. I call back and they try gaslighting me, again: they tell me I called too late for the re-booking and it was not possible anymore. I called them out on their BS (I had everything in writing) and I told them that they had already confirmed my reschedule and told me (twice) everything was fine. And then they told me “oh the other agent did a mistake, it’s not possible to do the re-booking” and basically told me to get lost, all the while (obviously) keeping my money for the tickets and not allowing me to re-schedule. Truly unbelievable. Lying, scamming, gaslighting company. Just stay away from them, they are the absolute worst and shameless.
Making a booking, aelwcting destinations could be improved. I would like to see the dates available for the selected destination - highlughted, not shoot randomly on the calendar. Also, if I want to see all the cities to where they fly directly, I can't. I have to type in a name of a city and then wait to see.
Cannot enter frequent flyer numbers for passangers! Not a 2022 application. Check out aegean app.
same buggy interface as the website. shows past flights at the top instead of the upcoming one and reserving seats does not work (seat map unavailable). what's the point of this app?
I will be honest, this app work the same ,like Austrian airlines .I was flying to the one place and mine luggage to the other. thanks "Austrian airlines "
All the basic things needed on the go, like web check in and mobile boarding pass work fine. Much improved in the past year. Booking or other things I prefer to do on a desktop with larger screen with any airline. But the one time I booked over the app everything worked fine.
So.... Idiot me booked the wrong return date for my trip. My jaw dropped when I had to pay a 300$ fee to change the date! But you know what's worse? The checked bags and reserved seats I paid for didn't transfer over to the new dates... So you're telling me I have to pay 200$ for them again?! 💀💀💀 I tried calling, and calling, and calling on the phone but nobody answers. Look, I know I did a mistake, but Jesus Christ, asking 500 dollars just to change a date is just stealing at this point.
Useless app. I can't save a boarding pass in app itself. Previously it was working better.
You cannot book 2 people with different tarieves (one person with lagguage and one person without) together. Either on website nor in app.
Ok, except sometimes gets locked and no way to check in. Eventually installed on second mobile and checked in last minute....
Can't even login. I can login on pc but not on the app.. What a joke. It says "they don't recogniz emy email"...
Ahhh so much dark patterns in single Web and app. Different Web pages show different gates, while big tablo at airport show nothing for my flight. When using laptop I got proper Web page, when using phone I been constantly redirected. You really should try use Web apps you create from time to time. Btw: email about changing gate was most useful of everything else ( I still hope it's correct one).
No login option I don't know what happened since the last update on June 2021, but now clearly lpgin is mot allowed. Before updating the app it said its not allowed to login from mobile. I don't see the point of an app without a login functionality and being able to manage all my bookings.
Useless app. I cannot register online because I have special type of visa (Blue card) and Austrian airlnes think that it is invalid just because they think they know all regulations in EU. I want to emphasize that this is the only airline with which I have this problem. In this hard Corona times Austrian airlines put us in danger of getting Corona by standing in long lines to check-in desks in aiport just because it cannot make good non-paranoidal app. 1/10
Crashes all the time, it doesn't even open!
Trying since some time to see my booking and to do my check in! But, it says they can not find it. Even if did the check in from the link they sent with the email... I just needed my boarding pass on Handy... But, the app doenst want to help...
Veeery bad, worst synchronization between the mobile app and account. I have checked in my flight from my laptop (i was logged in with my account when i bought the tickets and when i was doing check in) and than i open the mobile app, i login to my account (it logs you out don't know why evey day) and in the mobile app with exactly same account that i have used to check in the flight i don't see border passes but it is asking me to check in the flight again. Please fix the synchronization.
Not to mention only this is the worst travel app, but also their attrocious inexistent service. Just stay away from Austrian Airlines in general, their services are worst than low cost airlines.
App is next to useless when trying to book flights, as it always says can't book as first flight is departing shortly, even for a booking months away.
boarding passes for connecting flights do not update, pretty useful for everything else. redirects you to a webpage for simple functions, could be better
The app always asks you to use a computer to book flights and check roots! It does not work by mobile phone properly! So useless! I immedoately uninstall it.
Recently, the App is really useless. I can not get my booking information as before. Now it is only possible to do the check-in using a computer. It is a really stupid App.
Having to constantly click on pictures to verify I'm not a robot is extremely annoying and time consuming.
I can't even get the boarding pass. This happens on the website too. I wasted more than 1 hour trying to get through the worst absolute UI I have ever seen. The user experience for this company is unimaginable.
