Autel MaxiAP200

In spite of Autel France confirming that the AP200C would work with my vehicle, it did not, nor was my vehicle on the available list. The software itself seems to be well written although I would not describe it as intuitive. It took me several tries to get connected and there's a large download for SRS which seems to cover many vehicles. Unfortunately Autel have been let down by a poor customer service experience in my case. From my point of view it was a big waste of 1/2 day of my time.

its always connecting to the module and eats alot of memory. doesnt save vehicles so you have to fill out the info multiple times. doesnt offer the full range of commands at all. it is better than almost every free app as far as how much info you get. the interface is clunky and there is no dark mode. also doesn't clear all the codes all the time. some stay in history. (currently faulting codes dont clear obviously). could much more operator friendly

It's had a bug for awhile that's taking a long time to fix. I can't access the app to do anything. It gives the option to save vehicle information, but it doesn't save it. So I have to enter a lot of options for the same vehicle everytime. Including specific RPO codes. It gets very tedious. It doesn't read or have certain features it advertises as well.

The information given from the scanner is very comprehensive, and the features also. I would give it 5 star rating if it wasn't for the app. The app is slow, unresponsive and clunky. We're asked to read or write the vin each time we want to scan, it takes the app 2 full minutes to return to the home menu, a lot of redundant steps. For example one does the auto scan and after to enter each control module we have to scan it again. I love the scanner and the features but i can't rate it more than3

I use this on my BMW e39 (540it). It is very thorough and I can read and erase fault codes easily. It does not reprogram anything. I would give it 5 stars if it could do this: After selecting the model of the vehicle you offer a "save" option, yet when the scanner is unplugged, one has to go thru the whole selectio process again. Make the previousky "saved" models a selectable option to speed things up. Autel: if you do this I think I deserve access to the other brands from the library free. 😊

Since receiving the AP200 it has never once connected to the app appropriately. Furthermore, it has messed up all my other BT synced devices. As I type this review I am unable to get my Note 8 to reconnect to a speaker. Sent Autel Support an email and they brushed me off and told me to contact GM. I explained it was not a software issue, rather a BT connection issue. They never responded. Quite unfortunate and a complete waste of time and fiat currency. I do not recommend.

Have been having connection issues for the past 2 hours. It connects and pairs with my Android phone fine. But once I hit done, to go to main screen, it disconnects, and I have to go through the same process of pairing VCI all over again and again and again and again.

I can't even use the unit. It let me log in and thanks it!. Won't let me pass the main screen, I have to scan the product to register and it does register but after that when I tried to do a scan on my vehicle or go to the store and buy a vehicle it shows the scan page again and that's it. Plus I didn't mention when I plug the unit on my obd2 connector, every single light on the dash comes on. Check engine, abs, traction control, etc.

App does not work. Tried on 3 separate Android devices running 3 different versions. Version 10 would not even open, and versions 5 and 8 kept saying insufficient storage when attempting to download the vehicle pack. SD card was empty (64 GB), and device had 2.5 GB available to download the 1.7 GB vehicle pack. Do not buy OBDII adapter for use with this app!

I can not understand all the gripes about this app as it works perfectly if you use it correctly as I have found on my land rover discovery 3 .Each time I use it I get more and more I formation about my car. You need to learn to navigate around the menue system as I have . Once you know that you will find all sorts of relevant information about your car . Yesterday I found some values on my air suspension. All four corners were measured for correct hight,voltage and historical repairs.

Not Good for Google Pixel 3. I purchased the hardware on Amazon. Once I received it, I downloaded the app it stated I needed. The app just crashes every time I open it! I have tried it on other Google devices. Now, I have a $70 OBD dongle that is absolutely no use to me! Very disappointed and I hope that Autel fixes this soon, being we use their products a lot.

this would be a 5 star rate, but there are a few things i would love to see happen... first, the live data stream has no way to save your settings. every time you open it, it defaults to km/h and stuff. second, i would like the option to rearrange PIDs in my custom data stream. aside from that, this $70 tool is really impressive. i have used things like this before, and none have been so professional and complete. good job, autel.

This thing is junk, can't get past the registration, I scan the unit, says everything is good but it won't allow me to get the screen to run a scan, I've tried about 5 times, uninstalled and reinstalled and still not working, I'm done, I would give 0 stars!!!! Junk!!!!

Use to work before the update, now everything says wrangler jeep. I can't even run a simple scan unless I buy the program. When you buy a program it works flawlessly but that's $21 for a year. I have multiple cars and that is very expensive. Before the update I was able to scan any car, I couldn't get in depth with what I was seeing though. This thing is on the verge of a $70 paper weight which can't even do that much. Please rectify this issue cause this is not what I bought this for.

So far it is very functional for the 2009 cooper mini. I'm not able to program a new fob yet, but not sure if thats due to the new fob, program, or user error. Otherwise it allows for deep code scan, idle adjustments, headlights, etc.

Doesn't work for Android 10, I reached out to the developer but never heard back. I returned their product and will be getting a handheld unit from a different vendor. Autel's other app just deletes all your Bluetooth devices every time you scan for the reader. Never buying their products again.

Bought the obd2 blue tooth diagnostic tool at a local Canadian chain store. Downloaded the software, but it doesn't recognize or ID my VIN. And when using the software, it is not nearly as good as other apps available. Can't use it with any other app either. Finally the app gives a general website address to download the manual. Looked for it, did a search for it, but couldn't find the scanning obd2 product nor any reference to the app or its manual. Very disappointed in this product and app.

The app is a little tricky to set up but support was really awesome and I was up within 1 business day. Fast forward a year later I had to delete the app and download the newer version. It then had me add another diag asia app and then a vci firmware update. After that everything worked perfect. For 50 bucks you cant complain just be patient and reach out to those that have figured it out like on fb groups.

The app has a lot of lag. It doesn't respond to the buttons you tap on half the time. I love everything I am able to do with it, when it works properly. Could use some major updates and even an overhaul.

The app has to use WiFi data instead of mobile data which is kinda pointless for a device that's linked to a mobile phone. Provide the option for the user to allow 4G mobile data like every other app that's concerned about customer data usage. Otherwise the app and dongle works well.

Loaded my free vehicle scan, in app purchase for another, taking forever to download and unzip, not impressed with the paid app at this point. Unfortunately I've paid the standard fee for the additional vehicle function, doubt I'll get that back, first impression is good for a the free scan, after that its a scam.

After Loged on the app then Bind the device the message appear 'Product has been registered' then click on back icon to go to Mall tape but the app closed suddenly. It repeated every login I thought it's an account issue. I tried to register by new account but the issue still exist. Also reinstalled the app but the issue still exist My mobile is Samsung A30 Android version 10

Update May 2020 - works again in Android 10 after update. Now I can verify this is a great diagnostics app for Android - does almost all of the action from much more pricier devices. Customer support is a bit lacking, but that's the biggest con for now.

Love the obd2 scanner. Just wish acura and honda were one software since its literally the same software (HDS) also its missing some special functions options in service menu hopefully they update it ASAP. Only 11 services show when it advertises 19 special functions. Contacted support you should too! Made keys for acura no problem! Hate the paywall subscription it should be buy 1 time nd pay for update ....
