I'm a pixel user that did originally have issues in a beta Android 10 update back in February. This app hasn't worked once since. I would like to emphasize that I could've ignored the beta update. I knew it was on me, but even after ten was officially released, the app never worked . Then, 8 months later I order the pixel 4, which ships with a fresh install of Android ten, still not working. I pay too much for 2fa that's defeated by using the windows 10 app. I should've never signed up..
First, This app is the slowest authenticator app. Frustrating to have to click multiple buttons while waiting for it to load.with the new Android 10 update it broke and I'm locked out my account. The work around is to uninstall the app and reinstall it.but it erases your account from the app. So you can't get back in until you reset your 2fa settings. Didn't think this app could get any worse, we have no alternatives, it's the only authenticator compatible with our software.
I updated to Android 10 before this app update came out. The developer helpfully suggests updating the app BEFORE updating Android. So what happens now? Is it broken forever until I get a new phone? Is it never going to work for me because I failed to check the developer notes on every single app on my phone before every Android update? And this update wasn't even out when I updated my phone! Un-installing/re-installing doesn't work either. Oh dear.
With the newest update, a push notification comes if I unlock the phone... Come on. The idea is perfect but the service is not there. Now our entire company depends on this but with very low confidence.
Update: Workaround for Android 10, uninstall app, reinstall and re-add all accounts. Make sure you have alternative recovery methods for accounts you'll be removing 2fa and re-adding to insure you don't lock yourself out. Recent Android 10 update broke the app for me (crashes on load), no app updates in over a year. Typical Kaseya to buy a bunch of products and make 0 improvements, way to go guys!
Worest experience from any 2 factor app i have used. Push never works, times out all the time and does not work with android 10. The only thing this secures is keeping you out of anything using it.
Push notifications do not work. You need to open the app and manually refresh to get a prompt. Their support does not respond to email. I would never use this app if I wasn't forced to.
I use this app regularly and support about a dozen other users. We've never had a problem of any kind with it. For those commenting about esthetics, really? For an app with the sole purpose of issuing an 8-digit one time password, is beauty a critical factor?
This app is so buggy... Always has been. Android 10 (Q) was released to the public yesterday and this app wont run on it. It crashes on startup and I'm locked out of my job.
This app worked once. Now all it does is close when I neef it. I need this app for work. Fix the dang app to work correctly for all phones. I have a Samsung Note9. How many more poor ratings do you need before you update/fix your app?
Push notifications do not work. You need to open the app and refresh the token to get the notification. Due to my work I have around 75 ish MFA tokens across 5 apps and AuthAnvil is the only one that has this issue. Pixel 2 XL, Android 10, all updates from Google have been installed, and all APKs have been updated to whatever is available in the Google Play store.
How am I supposed to recommend this to my clients when you can't keep the app updated to work with current versions of Android. Doesn't work with Android 10.
Not the best authenticator, but it gets the job done. More clicks required to get the codes. Push notifications authentication works pretty well.
Wish I had checked before updating my Pixel 3 to Android 10. Still, no updates for over a year? Kaseya needs to get with the program UPDATED: as others have mentioned, uninstall/reinstall seems to fix the issue with opening the app.
Crashes on startup. Have cleared data and reinstalled. Stuck using third party TOTP app for MFA as this has not worked in months.
With the newest version of Android, I cannot use this app. I need it to work for my job. Please release an update that makes it compatible with Android 10.
Confirmed not working on Android 10. EDIT: Works again after reinstall / reconfigure. Now if only the watch push worked again....
Does not function in Android 10 even after suggest uninstall/reinstall. Original forum post on this topic was Sept. 4, hard to believe this hasn't been resolved in nearly 6 weeks
Crashes every time I open it. Now I'm locked out. Ridiculous that a paid service can get away with not working for this long.
App just force closes now. Nothing changed on my phone. Not even a security update. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling still to no avail.
It does work on Android 10, but you need to uninstall the app and then go through the process of re-registering the token. But of a pain.
Not working with Android 10. And got to find out right when I needed to work. It it wasn't that kasya only works with this I would be using Google auth for 2fa that works for everything else.
Push notifications never works. I have to open the app, sometimes have to close app and re-open the app. Please fix
Has stopped working multiple times in varying degrees. Push notifications seem to slow down and then stop working all together. Now the app closes itself as soon as I open it. If this was the first time, or if it was a low impact issue, I would be a lot more forgiving. The fact is, I can't work without this authentication at this point. Will try reinstalling again but seriously, fix your software.
