I love this app, it's so simple to use and yields great results. I've just purchased a BMW 320i xDrive which was recommended by AutoTrader as a lower price deal. I spent months using this app daily and lost hours having fun, exploring vehicles and playing with the filters to see what's on the market. My suggestion to improve the app: - Allow users to multi-select manufacturers and models/variants to improve advanced filtering.
Very buggy app, change things in my listing and save, refresh the page and old values are there. Can't delete old listing, button just does nothing, switching to another background app restarts your "Create a listing", expected better from such a well known company. Also cannot bulk upload 20 photos, have to do 1 by 1 which takes ages.
For the most part it does as its supposed to. However it has a very annoying and frustrating habit of disregarding search parameters. For example, I am not a rich person so I put a Max car value however this app will show cars that can be anywhere form double the cost to as much as 10 times my Max value. Why! I don't need an app attacking my self esteem with a Recommendation that far exceeds my budget.
Really annoyed that you cannot edit your advert from the app. Going to the "Account" tab, selecting the vehicle I'm selling and clicking the button "Edit advert" redirects me to the "Sign-in" view. But I.m already signed-in as I can see my listing and if I re-enter the details it signs me out :))) otherwise all good :)
Nigh on impossible to scroll photos. The line/edge detection for swiping has maybe 1 degree of flexibility, so be sure you have your laser rule and plumb line to not be swiping furiously and getting nowhere.
The app does everything it says smoothly. I've not once had any problems with it. But personally I'd like the comparison feature to increase the amount of cars you can compare.
When you add all the filters which i don't think there is enough of personally, your just constantly scrolling through ad after ad after ad of cars which are of no revelavence or intrest. So annoying. Can't filter out specific brands. Tired of looking at cars i ain't interested in.
It's a great app but would be 5 star if it had a button where you can get rid of the online sites. At least if you can search local you can at least go look at the car, every time you try to search local all the online sites come up too which is rubbish.
Once selecting specific items you require there should be a button that excludes cars which have faults or selling as spare and repair. As quite a few of these and no option but to look through them. Other than that a varied selection of cars
Utter rubbish. I have a Fold 3 updated to latest same with app cannot edit advert it's in a continuous loop with Google smartlock sort your app out I knew I should have used eBay. Thanks for taking a day for putting my incomplete advert on too because it wouldn't let me upload photos. Not impressed.
Great app. One flaw - the links in email alerts are to click.autotrader.co.uk and those links aren't intercepted by the app, so open in your browser which is a less good experience. Easy fix!
Frustrating for me. I am using a fold phone and the specs on the cars don't show up. I have to fold my phone up and use half the screen to see the specs. I can use my wife's phone and all is well so if you could look in to this on top of the great work you do already that would be amazing.
It's the first, and pretty much only, place to look for cars. I'd like an option to search for a few makes or models at a time, but that's the only slight negative.
Originally had sone issues opening the adverts. Contacted by customer services who promptly supported the issue via an update. Brilliant. Just wish I could edit my original 2 stars to 5, instead of redoing the review. Well done Auto trader customer services!!!
Crashes! unable to select different cars,was stuck on vans! Just deleted,see if will be better when reinstate the app! Been like this months.
Easy to navigate and very easy to filter what I'm looking for. Also had an excellent experience using it to sell my motorcycle! Highly recommended 👌🏼
Disappointing and defo not worth the money! Cost me £75 for an add to last till my car is sold but photos not uploaded and cannot edit the add to add them, it just keeps saying "retry" or "sign in" when I have signed in. Would like my money back as Autotrader not giving the service I have paid for, total waste of time and money. Then I noticed the Add says valid for 70 days when I paid for an add till sold! Very unhappy.
Immediately after resetting my password, the app still doesn't accept that password. I'm using the correct email, so this must be a bug in the app.
Why is it that if I access Autotrader website via Google chrome or Internet explorer I get cheaper cars? The App only seems to show me way too expensive cars. You can not even toggle the price or Yr and still shows damn expensive cars. 😒
Nice and easy to use. Dropped a star due to the repetitive sponsored ads for cars outside my price range.
Even after putting preferences in it still brings vans up that a million miles away. Obviously paid advertising. It's not buyer friendly. Plus why can't I just search specific words like I can on eBay eg no vat
Awesome car buying experience, love this app, always on it looking at old beemers. Everyone puts there motor on autotrader its the bottom line in car sales.
Good app, there shoud be a option 'dont show me this model" example: if you filter> Toyota > model all > filter price, you will get as result 1000 of Toyota Aygo on top of list and if you are not interested there is no option to hide that.
Easy to search and filter. The only annoying feature are the ads.
Photos take forever to load. It's actually painful view cars... Far too many adds shoving in cars that are 15-40k out of your pcie range like you may suddenly think 'let's remortgage the house for it'😂😂
I have been looking for a starter motorbike foreber in this app helps me so much, It's easy and simple to use, there are no ads to get in your way. If your lookimg to buy your first vehicle this is the place to look
Generally a great app with good layout which is easy to use. The annoying thing that does happen and I've read a review from someone else who doesn't like this either and that is that when you select a maximum price of say £10,000 it also shows ads for cars that are say £15,000, these ads are from AutoTrader labelled 'you may also like' or 'ad', but other than this, the app is great.
