AutoAlarm

Know when the next system alarm is going to be and act on it in Tasker, with AutoAlarm!
You could make a pre-alarm task like the very cool one Andreas Ødegård describes in his SLEEP MODE here: http://goo.gl/rRw0I. He uses it to create his own personal sunrise by making his room light up gradually before the actual alarm fires.

(WARNING: YOU MUST HAVE TASKER INSTALLED FOR THIS APP TO BE OF ANY USE: AutoAlarm will not show up on your homescreen or app drawer. It is only usable as a plugin in Tasker)

To get started check out the video. You'll see how to quickly setup AutoAlarm. The video shows how you can see the amount of hours remaining till the next alarm, but you can use any other Tasker action with the alarm info. Here are the variables you can use with AutoAlarm:

Absolute values:"%day""%month""%year""%hour""%minute""%second"

Times to next alarm:"%milis""%seconds""%minutes""%hours"

Cumulative times to next alarm:"%secondsc""%minutesc""%hoursc""%daysc"

String variables:"%raw" (will have the time as reported by the system, i.e. "Sun 14:00")

Also, very important, if there's an error while retrieving the next alarm it will be in the "%error" variable.

Note: there are several users reporting that the app doesn't work with their language. Please make sure you're using the default Android alarm app to get the most compatibility.

Drop me an email if something goes wrong and I'll always try to fix it!

Was about to be content with the app, but then found it is messing with the phone's alarm app. Even even I have no alarm set, the phone displays alarm times that change every minute or so, seemingly randomly

Not working correctly on 5.1.1 just returns error null right after task wait in tasker. Won't bring up any alarms and yes reliable alarms is off. When using the test function inside auto alarms itself it works. Just not inside tasker where it really matters.

Simple enough but accomplishes huge things for my Tasker purposes.

Worked like a charm for years for me, then it got an issue with 3rd party alarm apps, I emailed the dev and he responded in less than 2 hours with a working fix. Best custommer support ever!

Awesome, use it to flash a toast on screen on to show when the next alarm is. Very helpful Dev, super responsive to emails. Highly recommend!

Unsure however, why this is even integrated with Google play Games for achievements and leaderboards.

How easy would it be for the developer to add a fixed length of digits per variable. E.g., at 9:55am, I would like %hour=09, instead of %hour=9. I am writing a script to parse in the string "%month%day%year%hour%min" but given my constraints, I want to have look for 2 digits for month, day, 4 for year, and 2 for hour + min. I hope this isn't that difficult.

Handy when it works, but that's rare...

Keeps me up to date with time.

Its probably unreasonable, but it would be great if this could communicate with AlarmPad. That app has some really cool features but it cannot communicate with this one which leads to the failure of some of my tasker profiles.

This should also be able to create alarms. It seems pretty much useless without that.

Any way to put a zero in front of single digits? 12:06 instead of 12:6? Plugin works GREAT and doesn't really use the battery as I thought it would, great job!

Just the app I'm looking for. Works as advertised. Also works with Alarm Clock Xtreme!

Would like to see conditions support for alarms. Tasker cannot do this for me. Don't have any use for local variables in a task. Was hoping to see recognition for 'dismiss', 'snooze', etc. Would LOVE a 'delete'/'remove' alarms action...

Works great with Android clock.

But tasker doesn't use the variables. Following the video, my flash just said "%minutes" instead of actually displaying a number of minutes. Instructions on how to get tasker beta might fix this.

This and all the other "auto" plug ins are Exalent. And the dev is super fast responding to problems.

This is a really good plugin and just what I was after. It's slightly counter intuitive with having to create a task, then a context with an additional task and it would be easier to be able to do it as one task only, but once I 'got it' it works brilliantly.

Using it to display remaining time until next alarm on the lockscreen. Because i'm lazy :)

Great app, and the developer is fast to reply and fix any issues!

A needed addition to Tasker, an excellent execution and the developer is unbelievably fast in responding to comments and fixing issues.

Complements Tasker perfectly!

This app is not like the rest of the apps in the market doing the same old things with different names. This app does something all the apps cannot do, get things prepared for you before the next alarm! With this you can get a soft music playing just before the morning alarm or switch on a bed lamp to ease you out of sleep. The application is endless. This is one cool app.

Can't use it, bugs out and sometimes shows next alarm constantly 1 min ahead after I add it to tasker. I use stock MM alarm. It's just not playing nice. My other tasker scripts for auto wifi work fine though. Bugware too, with the popups. Look, don't make something free and then bug it out. I switched to nights keeper instead to set DND until alarm goes off.
