The AutoApps subscription provides access to all 20+ Auto-plugins for $1.35/mo as well as exclusive access to Alpha apps not yet ready for primetime, like AutoXBMC and AutoYouTube. Alpha apps are apps that I started developing but are often very incomplete or may not work at all, so please don't expect to get fully functional apps from these. They are just a perk that I make available for subscribers instead of keeping them on my hard-drive like I have done until now :)
The AutoApps are typically available to purchase separately for between $.99 and $3.99, and as you start to expand your Tasker automation, you'll certainly be coming across more of them. Each AutoApp plugin provides extended access to APIs offered by Android and various software platforms, directly in to Tasker. There is a growing Google+ community of thousands of members that provide support and how-to guides to help you when you need it.
Subscribing to AutoApps is entirely optional, each Auto-plugin is still available for purchase with a free trial in Google Play. As well as being an affordable way to try out multiple Auto-plugins at once, subscription to AutoApps is another way to say thank you and support further development.

Auto Tools has allowed me to prompt for inputs so that I can have my phone do what I want based on an external action. For example, when I wirelessly charge, it prompts if I want to leave the screen on, turn it off or keep it's default action. And if I don't pick I can have it timeout and dismiss the dialog. I also prompt which navigation app to use when I'm riding my motorcycle. So many possibilities are available when combined with Tasker.
Great app and good concept but business model let's it down. To get anything done you need to keep buying the plugins and add ons and before you know it you spent so much money to get something small done its not worth it. I started with tasked, then needed shortcut then needed autoapps then auto remote then.... You get the picture.
Four stars because while I'm sure all the features are great, I don't have Tasker. I had to download this, however, in order to purchase AutoNotification which has non-Tasker features. Now though, I basically have two apps just to use one and I barely have space on my device. For that I knocked off one star. The developer is very nice though and the price for the one app was more than reasonable. I doubt I'll ever use the other 19 apps that are part of this so wish I could just have the one.
All current plugins fullfil a need for people. But for years people have been calling a phone number to get a simple voice announcement of time AND outside temperature. Weird that I can't find any apps that do this. I don't like Google Now prompts so I use simple AutoVoice with AutoInput reading homescreen widgets. Come to the rescue again dude!
AutoApps makes it easy to add and integrate all the amazing add-ons for the already insanely useful Tasker. If you can think it, Tasker and AutoApps can do it, or you can bet it'll be in an upcoming update. With Tasker, and even more so with AutoApps, you can do the job of literally 100's of other paid apps out there and countless more you wish you could find but don't exist. Which makes it all that more commendable how affordable Joao has always kept these apps. It's deeply appreciated!
If Tasker doesn't have it, AutoApps certainly will! A must-have application to get some of the more complex tasks done. The developer is super responsive and always willing to help users be successful too!
I want to create a shortcut to force close and reopen Spotify since it's often buggy. Also, I would like a shortcut to connect Spotify to my Chromecast Audio. Furthermore, as soon as I connect to my Wifi, I want Spotify to connect to my Chromecast if its already playing. If all or some of those actions work, I would also combine them. I would be gladly willing to pay for this functionality (one-time very strongly preferred). Rating 1* because I can't test without buying.
Your one stop shop for the best apps on PlayStore! You'll find yourself looking for reasons to automate anything you can, just so much fun seeing things works exactly how you want them to. Excellent fast support has helped me on a few of my tasks already. Get it.
I downloaded the app to purchase auto tools. After charging my credit card the app got an error. Clicking on ok charge my credit card again. Then again. So I was charged 3 times and I don't think it has even registered under auto tools should be unlocked. Very unhappy.
These plugins work great to augment the power of Tasker. I really like the subscription-based trial of all the plugins and then the one-time-payment for permanent use as a model =)
I don't mind paying for additional plugins. I understand why it has to this way. But this auto apps feels like unnecessary to me. I already bought autoinput and few other plugins using this app. But every time i need a specific plugin i have to install this to unlock the app i already own. Its mildly annoying. Edit: i know that dev. I just wish keys are built into the apps somehow. Its alright. I used nova launcher to hide this app icon. So it doesn't bother me. Edit: added one more star.
This is for Tasker, but have to review here since that can only be reviewed if you buy it, & most people will use the trial & only buy if they like it, leading to an artificially high score. By doing a trial outside of the store, the dev conveniently avoids many negative reviews due to this loophole. I bought Join but it's unintuituve & I never got it to work & Tasker is proving to be no different. Not only have I been unable to do a simple task, but the x button cleared everything w/out prompt.
I never used this app before. In less than 50 mins I was able to WOL my LG tv from Alexa on android using an autovoice skill + app and tasker + 3rd party app for WOL. One could tell me "ok, it's a little task, you could do it only with Alexa" and yet neither Alexa, nor Thinq, nor WOLskill on Amzn skill market were able to do so. Although the tv is WOWL capable and every single device I own wakes it up on LAN. 1st thing I did - bought premium then asked myself why do I need Alexa actually???
In app purchases take the money but don't give you the apps. UPDATE - I only have one account on this device. The payment came off the card linked to this account and the receipt was sent to the email linked to this account... I have requested a refund please refund my purchase.
I thought I bought autoapps? now I'am renting them and I still have to pay to unlock the apps and still have to pay once a mounth:{ I payed for the app, it is a lot of work devel, but when you like your job it makes it fun. i paid for the APP. I don't see why I have to keep paying and paying and PAYING?????
Feels unnecessary to install an app just to purchase plugins, it adds some commands event that could be implemented to tasker. Edit: After reading the FAQ I understand this is the best way to unlock apps, however I still don't like the idea of forcing us to install autoapps to trigger autotools commands. Tasker commands system should be the same as autoapps commands system.
Counter productive having to install an app to purchase and license other apps, it'd be far better to have premium/paid versions of each app separately (as has been done in the past) or have the purchasing and licensing mechanic built-in to Tasker itself - since each app is dependent on Tasker for complete operation.
Paid for this app to stop the "sim card not a verizon sim" message and it still pops up at random times. My data & calls work but this message will stop my data for a moment. Searched on the web was told this would fix it permanently if I bought this app. It doesn't, waste of my money
A must have for Tasker... many tools to automate your mobile however you want. I am using Autonotification for notifications customizations and autoinput to automate touch and apply settings without touching my phone.
I love tasker, it automates my whole weekly schedule, however this subscription based model for the alpha plugins are a little bitter in my opinion. Would happily buy them outright. But for now Automagic premium replaces this alpha s$@t show
Excellent. Nothing else related to automation comes even close. Developers always respond in under a day with efforts to sort out any quiries or problems.
Wonderful programs, however some things don't work right. For example Alpha AutoWeather even tho I signed up won't show up, everything else shows up. Plz fix. Love your work!!
I like this app for the easy access it gives to all of this developer's apps and for it being a comprehensive list of his apps. He's responsive to requests for help, which is much appreciated.
AutoNotification Gmail integration is catching my Gmail notifications, but clicking the buttons to mark as read or delete emails doesn't actually perform those functions within my Gmail inbox.
Originally, when subscribing to AutoApps, I was under the impression that I would receive all of the full versions. Now, when downloading AutoBarcode, I only obtain AutoBarcode Lite. I had to buy the full version again and again... And again.. I am on the fence after so many years because I don't like that I paid for full licenses on certain apps, subscribed to both monthly access and yearly access, and am now having to join Patreon to receive current updates... Even as a beta tester.
