This sowtware was good. Excellent. But now it is useless. It crashes and video files are unreadable. And I have a Pro version. This is a shame, it tells us that developers are got really sloppy and overall expectations are very low now.
How do I turn off auto record on startup/bootup of phone? Very annoying. Imagine if I had it set up to detect a collision and then automatically call or send emergency help 30 seconds or a minute later? They'd be coming to my house while I was sitting there in my living room eating cheetos and randomly walking around my apartment. This option makes no sense and could potentially be life threatening to someone else in actual need of ems.
I haven't used this app in a while, but is there a reason why they nerfed it so critically? Filters gone? Exposure levels drastically reduced? What's the purpose? It kind of feels like they're going in the same direction as the call recorders. Some of this even looks nonsensical. Reading the other reviews, people are constantly requesting features this app used to have. Not sure who is serving not, but not us. This used to be a great app. This app is gone downhill by a rather large margin.
I've been using the free version for about six months now. Overall I've been pretty pleased with it. All of the sudden today I get a pop-up that says "AutoBoy BlackBox needs permission to make and manage phone calls" or it won't work. I don't thinks so Sunshine. Buh-bye.
Paid for pro. Used it for 3 weeks everything was great loved that I could have a dashcam and be able to use my phone to play music. Then went to use and for some reason says video resolution is wrong and fails to do preview and shuts down. So I now have paid for a useless app
Worked great for over a year, than it would come on and off on it's own. Than the video started skipping. Now it doesn't record anything. I paid for the pro.
Use another app! The devs seem to be pushing as many permissions as they can hoping Google (or the user) won't notice... Last time, they made it so you HAD to give phone permissions, now, it asks me for storage permissions every time I start the app!! You already have permissions, stop asking for more!
Crashes, overheats, won't charge, problem w file permisions. I've used the app for years and it's been fantastic but now it's worthless.
It was okay now useless. Doesn’t loop record; filled up memory to capacity, and after deleting all videos to make space, it refuses to record anything, so after several days, I'm unistalling
App closing not working in background after 2-3 minutes, what's point if my screen is always on?i has all permissions and its allowed in battery restrictions to not be closed and it still does. miui android 11.
App is great! Lots of options and easy to use. Had an issue with constant crashing but the dev fixed it quickly.
Latest update seems to Have fixed most of the bugs, and added up to 4k recording🎉 Though it still seems to continue asking for the folder permission not sure if it thinks it lost permission
I really like using this app is very accurate on gps and i always record when driving. I give 3 Star because when i tried to set up YouTube Google tells me this autoboy its not veryfy yet . Does anyone is using YouTube already and can give feedback please.
Why is it can't record? Says "no memory card inserted" even though I have alloed the permission for internal storage, which has 100 gb free space. What's wrong with this app?
After the last update, the app is not able to record video. It does not detect my storage. Need support.
The best dash cam out so far keep up the good work 👍 Oops I have to take away 2 stars because snap shots are in seconds not minutes anymore, I use to have snap shop every 5min.
I use this app all the time and think it's great, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD add the ability to launch on detection of Android Auto, and not simply by Bluetooth. I don't even know what "Detect Car Dock" or "GPS Detect" even means, because when plugged into ANY Android Auto car, IT DOES NOT START. Android Auto Wireless is the same, no detection. Makes the whole thing a pain to start and stop each time, makes me want to use something else. Functionally, it works good.
Great way to protect yourself and no better camera then your phone once set up but it in holder on dash in connect and record in background just delete when don't need them
This is a great app I do uber and I love that I can record and if my phone is taking I could go to my Google pix and retrieve it but after the update I can not rotate my screen I need this to be fix
App has trouble opening. Saved videos will not play in the app. Not impressed.
I have been using this app for many years and until last week I would've given it 5☆. What changed is that it deleted all stored videos without me agreeing to delete them. I use Samsung Galaxy with additional 256GB SD card that was only about 2 thirds full so space shouldn't have been the issue. Automatic backups didn't work. I've been struggling to restore videos from the SD card that I removed as soon as I discovered the loss. So far the EaseUs failed do do anything. Any advice, please?
I am very happy with this app. It does work nicely. I do have one fault, my cell does not have a lot of internal memory, so I set the app to save to SD card but, when I try to view the video it says "can't find video", although it is there. Then I saved to internal, and then it can view the video. I have a Samsung Galaxy Prime Plus. If you can sort that, I will change to a 5star. I just updated it last night (24/04/2022) and now it freezes up if I want to view vids or change settings. :-(
