For those of you that ask about rooting, before you ask how to root.. This app is not going to root your Android. Well known fact. Methods vary between devices. Look up your device and root methods. Simple Google will show a step by step method quite easily. Some Droids are more complex, and root apps enhance aspects of the OS to an extent. But be wary of flashing ROMS. Soft/Hard Bricking can make the phone unusable and quite hard to fix. I Bricked a Galaxy S. Splash screen loop & no download mode o.O

This is a great app that I use to start up Privoxy every time on boot. It does exactly what I need. I see a lot of confused reviews here. Basically, don't download this if you don't know what it is for!

Created the startup file via adb shell, and entered my commands. But the description lacks important information like: - do we need to enable superuser requests at boot? - what chmod needs the script file? 700? 770? 777? I could only guess that we needed any kind of +x Plus: your website is offline, so no support or faq on a website either. So, unfortunately, removed. Don't want do fiddle with such poorly documented apps. It might work, but without my crystal ball I don't have time to waste.

Works well on moto droid. Does what it says. I use it to mount my mtd partitiond rw at startup. Awesome app!

Does what it is supposed to but the autostart process needs to die after running the autostart script because it causes bad overheating on Droid

@Scott … come on dude, you're not seriously this much of a dumbass, are you? Because I think I lack the strength to tell you all the reasons why I think so. But can you read at least? … What's that? You say you can kinda read but you usually don't bother 'cause it's not important? Yeah, I'm sure you're right. For those who actually know what they're doing … yes, go ahead, get it — definitely does the job. Like autoexec.bat/config.sys back in the day :^>

"Not a root"?! Don't rate apps badly if u don't understand them or their scope & intended use/platforms aren't what u wanted. If u have problems, ask!

A. G. u. Aug 3, 2010

@Dood: if you don't know what this is then you should't be using it. And yes, it's safe to remove.

Works perfectly! All you need to do is: - install the app - create (using an Android terminal emulator program or adb) the directory /data/opt on your Android machine, with chmod = 777 - create (via the emulator or adb) your command script in the file /data/opt/autostart.sh, with chmod = 755 - reboot. Your command script will run at startup going forward. Sweet!!
