AutoTagger - automatic and batch music tag editor

A really cool app with a clean and nice UI. Automatic tag search works great too. Only things missing are a Genre tab which would allow batch editing of the Genre tag and a way to get rid of the Artist pic grid when artist's photo display is not enabled: would take much less space on screen. Other than that, app seems bug free as far as I can tell, so 5★ well deserved :)

Glad to see a new update. Haven't really seen much improvement in terms of snappiness, but I haven't messed around with it much, might see more once I edit a mass amount of songs. The UI overlap I menti before hasn't been fixed, but it also might be the weird ratio of my phone.

It used to work great but now it's only finding 88 folders with music in them when my music player is finding all 2665 folders with music in them. I don't want to pay for another auto tagger when I have paid for this one to work.

Since the last Android software package update, this app no longer allows permissions to access SD card contents. Please release an update to address this.

Woww man this is excellent! How amazing app this is. I was editing just 1 song I was really excited and made the purchase to the premium version. I was looking for a easy way to edit tags of songs. This is it. Anyone who read this you have came to the right place. Go ahead and hit download don't think twice and make the purchase for a support for the developer. No more words it's a literally useful app!

This is a nice app, & it was the 1st one that I paid to upgrade, so that should tell you something! For the most part, it finds multiple tags (including cover art), & gives you the option to choose your own or allow it to choose the best one! Very convenient! It could have better support for WMA files, as it doesn't seem to catalogue them like for the mp3 files, & the player pauses when my main screen closes, making me have to open it & hit play again. It's not 100%, but it's the best I've found

Putting picture doesn't work all the time. There are times that it failed tagging, which you would just need to restart the application. However, it's worth the 4, since for all the tagger I've downloaded, this one has been the most consistent. The issue could be because of the device. I currently use an honor lite 10, and still on android 9( hopefully, this one will get the android 10 update).

On 1st launch, the user is given a decent tutorial. For the final lesson, the user is asked to select a song and like magic, all tags are filled in and a selection of album art to choose from is shown (including the image size). However, when trying to save the edited file the app "fails" and autofill is disabled, making the app about as useful as a hex editor. The upgrade description are so vague I have no clue which would restore functionality presented in tutorial.

The premium features not as advertised. While it does go through all the files in batch you still have to go through every single file individually and chose which result is best. I thought it would auto tag and attach the best choice to each one. I have lots of files to tag so not the solution I was looking for. For a small number of files I should be fine but for fixing a large library, the premium won't save you any time.

Best tag editor on the playstore. I don't know if you can edit album covers or not, but if not it would be a great feature to add. Reply to dev: I get that you can change the album art as per the individual songs, however, I'd love to be able to change the album art from the album screen as that seems more intuitive. Look at the way album art grabber has implemented this feature, it's perfect. That being said, your tag editor is what I wanted and it works beautifully, 5 stars where deserved.

it is a great app. I would say it is better than most, however sometimes after i finish fixing the tags it won't update it, and it says "failed to modify tags", or it only successfully updates after I'm able to find the album info online through the manual search. also, I wish they had the option to pick just the cover art from a web search like some other apps do because not all albums or mixtapes show up. otherwise, great app!!

Its a great app with simplicity, and in my experience with a better success rate than musicbee and musicbrainz put together. Tagging music can get complicated so this app is a saviour. However, there is a small problem in that I have to constantly clear cache and data on every single song to get a proper scan and this is really annoying and time consuming, please fix this as soon as you can. Thankyou for a great app, 5* Reply - others have said the same about the scanning problem, its easy to pick up on, that's the great thing about being a developer having to buy lots of phones to test, then you'll find it, fix it, and sell more of the premium version. Great app with very high scan success rate, 5* plus.

I purchased this app two time, once before before the update, other after the update. I purchased it the first time because i really appreciated the work put in such an app that doesn't seem to have a big user base and i really wanted to support it because it was simply fantastic. Second time i purchased it, which was after the major update that changed the interface, i didn't get what i was promised for example; automatically renaming music files.

Edit rewrite: This app's developer seems to have found it inconvenient to list in the description, or on the initial start of the app, or while selecting the files you wish to edit, that the "free version" only allows you to edit 3 files at a time without purchasing the app. You are not told about this until after you have selected too many files and have clicked edit. Then you get a pop up prompting you to pay for the app, and even then the apps limitations are listed almost as a footnote.

The ONLY app you need for editing tags and album art! I've tried 3 or 4 of the main ones, but this one just WORKS! It's a well designed app, that is fast and great at automatically selecting the correct song tags. You can let it 'automatically' choose it for you, but you still get control of actually selecting it yourself if you would prefer that method. Easy 5 stars! Please keep updating this app for future Android versions, it's an essential app for music editing!

Only audio tagger/editor that works flawlessly. It won't corrupt or break your mp3s like some of the free ones on the play store do. Definitely worth the money for the pro version. I used the free version for a while before I upgraded and I couldn't be happier. It finds music on you removal micro SD card and your internal storage. You can also ignore some folders in the app if you choose it.

After being displeased with the way other music apps were accepting my music files, this app seemed to be my light at the end of the dark tunnel. Indeed this is probably the best app for all your tagging needs, very robust and doesn't spit out errors left and right. And... The tagging is done in such a way the changes are immediate. 10/10

Waste of money. It consistently failed to save my tag edits. Horrible, confusing interface. I want my money back, please. Yes, my music files are on an SD card. I tried for ages to get it to work. In the end I edited the file tags on my PC and re-copied the files over to my phone. I've just checked. It says 'permission granted' to my SD card in the settings (this took me ages to do last night). But it makes no difference. Still no edit access.

It does add tags and artwork, but corrupts the mp3, so then it doesn't play at all. That's very useful indeed. I autotagged entire library and most songs don't work anymore. Edit: Turns out there were only two such files, both in a folder that anydesk created and it had date+time in subfolder, but it had ':' symbols in! That isn't exactly filesystem friendly, but linux allows it. I renamed that folder and sure enough both files work. It turns out there's nothing wrong with this app. It's great

I went for this app when Automatag stopped working after using it for 2 years. Auto tagger was the first recommendation in the list, so I gave it a try. Automatag was just not saving my tag modifications. I just got a new phone and I set up my SD card as internal storage for the first time ever, and I thought maybe that was causing the problem. But I'm not having that problem with Auto Tagger. Another longtime Automatag user blamed an update for their problems in a post two days ago, I agree.

This is the best music tag editor I've ever used. Has cool UI. Provides both manual & automatic ID modes for more control. The premium features like batch editing & audio fingerprinting work exceptionally well compared to others. If you're having trouble IDing, use manual mode & empty all the search fields & let the app ID it for you with audio fingerprint. I recently had some issues with this app, but the developer replied immediately & helped me fix them. Highly recommended. Thank you!

It's by far the best tag editing app I've used so far. It's a great app for editing metadata especially the online cover art & information fetching. 4 stars because of the fact that sometimes it fails to provide certain original album covers which is of course not often. Enhancing the cover art library and recognition will be a great improvement. Other than this, it's undoubtedly better than most similar apps out there.

Great Wouldn't mind a duplicate file search tab though. When you get to a certain number of files you end up re-adding mp3s you already have, and the way Google Play Music works you only see them listed as one file. I know phone's memory is always expanding, but for me, at 128GB, I have to be stingy with how I use my space, and having 4 versions of the same song is a poor way to use it That said I still gave it five stars, and it deserves them

Good features in principle but too buggy to be useful. Free version is crippled to the point of being only an advertisement while defective implementation makes it not worth any price to unlock. Even if all features worked as advertised, the price is too high given that the core functionality is not critical. And any app that repeatedly nags for a rating deserves a low one. :-)
