Autotrader - Cars For Sale

Great at finding vehicles. Not so great at functioning. Can't save anything. Which sort of defeats the purpose of using the app unless I make contact with the seller immediately after seeing the listing. I don't want to contact every single seller, I want to browse and choose the top candidates to contact but I cannot do that because I can't save any vehicles.

Something happened to the app last night and now if you're looking at a vehicle and you touch the photos of that vehicle it completely takes you out of the description of that vehicle and goes back to your saved vehicles every time??!! This app has had continuous problems and now this!? At the same time this happened I also noticed that the saved vehicles and saved searches has switched sides now saved vehicles is on the left and searches is on the right. Coincidence, who knows?

App is borderline unusable due to technical issues. For example, something as simple as changing the search distance locks up the app, forcing a restart and uninstall/reinstall of the app. This is a shame since I otherwise really like AutoTrader. This is forcing me to go elsewhere for vehicle shopping/selling/browsing.

Somehow, you guys were able to take an app that worked some of the time and made it work none of the time. Updated app, can't login. AmazonIcognito external login page flashes quickly and then disappears. Cleared cache, no change. Cleared data, no change. Restarted handset, no change. Uninstalled/reinstalled, no change. Maybe your devs should just work on bringing back the paper magazine.

It never works. Old app new app original app. They just sit and spin 70% of the time. Over a month later and no improvement. I see some people got a reply, but the 95% that say the app doesn't work- cricket's. I still see commercials they have to be more expensive then fixing this issue. Are you in the commercial business or car selling app business?

New interface is kind of flaky, noticed after I picked the manufacturing the model I wanted to go to Miles to search and while I was clicking to change it it kept ignoring my change because it was showing a result found just for the 25 miles, even if it was zero probably be better if it didn't search till it let you pick the miles if you're going into the advanced search. To be honest I still kind of like the original old drop down interface it was easy and everything was kind of together.

When adding filters to my search, will work the first time. When I come back at a later time, the saved searches will have zero results. Also I didn't see an option to set my budget like there is on the website.

They fixed ("improved") a site that wasn't broken. I bought 4 vehicles the past 12 years using Autotrader. Now, I can't pick colors on my s8. Clicked "show 181 cars" and the app closes. Too frustrating.

This app doesn't work on tablets. The ads clip the listings whether you scroll up or down and make them unviewable, rendering the app entirely useless. The one function this is supposed to provide doesn't even work because of the ads. You may want to hire a web developer to create a responsive design so your app actually works or correct the clipping issue that is literally clipping all the search results in order to display a dumb little ad.

It's very amazing how informational this app is... I and a few family members found exactly the vehicles we wanted at amazingly good deals on the vehicles as well.... you'll be very pleased with your choices and decisions on the vehicles or vehicle you choose...😁😉🙃

If you are planning on selling a car here, Save $50 and DO NOT! I feel basically scammed as my 2017 Audi A4 premium plus quoted by carmax "perfect condition" listed for a very good price DIDNT RECIEVE EVEN ONE VIEW IN 3 DAYS. I recieved views and messages within hours of using cargurus and craigslist (not all scammers the person who bought my car found it on craigslist). I requested my money back and of course they didnt response at first, and did not honor my request not even a discount.

I'm embarrassed to write and admit that I paid $50 for Autotraders "help" selling my vehicle. I gave them my money and they released the flood gates of scammers onto me. Nearly every single message will be a scammer. Autotrader will never respond to an email either. It's like everyone went home a long time ago and let the scammers come in and run their business. I gave up and posted my vehicle to marketplace. Sold immediately there. So many better and cheaper options to sell your car.

Where is the keyword search! Why hasnt this app been restored! I used this app 100 times a week and even bought my AEV Dodge diesel on here. The update ruined the app. I search for extremely specific vehicles. Keyword search is gone. If I want to search for a sema show car with manual trans, cammed and a supercharger, I cant! Need keyword search.l! This app was way better than any other vehicle app and now its horrible. Dont make me tell Elon what youve done!

The app just straight up doesnt work. As soon as it's launched it freezes on the opening screen. Uninstalling/re-installing doesn't bot help.

Gonna have to delete it, been weeks with no fix. After a minute of use the app slows down to about 1fps and basically slows down to the point it stops scrolling. Alot of reviews have a better description of what's going on. Developers claim the interface is faster, but truth is they invested way to much time and money on the new interface and they doubled down. If you want to make everyone happy scrap this interface, just admit to overwhelming demand you brought back the old layout.

Awful app. I used this a lot in the past but it's become unusable. After whatever update they pushed its been buggy. It starts to lag and then cars disappear in the list. After that it will start to flash the screen and I'll have to force close the app. Really disappointed.

Over the past 2 weeks, whatever update was pushed out has literally made the app unusable. Crashes, freezes, heats up my phone to the point I have kill the app. Then scrolling and looking @ vehicles is useless.....scroll and cars disappear. Save 1, look @ it then try to go back and saved search (not saved cars list) pops up. App was great, now not so much!! Sounds like a rollback is needed, big time!!

This app does not work. Can't see the detailed listing. You click on them and they are just blank. All this feedback should tell you that this is a BROKEN APP. Come on now. Fix this thing!!

Update: after using this app for 6 months with new update still makes this the worst app to navigate, use and find the car I am looking for. This "new" way of looking for a car is hair pulling numbing. Save time and money(if you're listing) and just go to another app. This new update makes the app unusable. Searches rurn up with no results, hard to navigate, layout is awful. Wish coxauto would stop messing everything they touch up.

3/9/22 Update: This app is still really bad. Autotrader needs to find new developers because this app crashes constantly, it's slow, doesn't remember favorites or saved searches... completely useless. Garbage app. The website was my go to for years, but this app crashes all the time. It errors out on the search if you use keywords. It's unusable. Even the website is horrible now.

This app hardly works. It will let you search but is not responsive. when you modify your filters and sorting nothing happens.

Before the update, I could not look at the pictures of my saved vehicles. After the update, I still can't. Now I also cannot save or click on search results to see the details of vehicles listed by Vroom and Carvana.

Useless, cannot view saved cars within app. It takes you to the website to view that. So, what use is the app? After update, still not able to log into account on app, and when leaving feedback, the keyboard does not activate, so I caanot type anything. App is useless, you need to use the web if you want to log in and save anything.

Can't sign in using Google account. Cleared cache, deleted app data, uninstalled/reinstalled, none of it works. Buttons flash and make keypress noises, nothing happens.

I build a search online because the app doesn't have the same options available for filters, then save it, then open in app and it changes my filters... making it utterly useless

This app keeps becoming less useful over time. Now they don't have the color names so cars without pictures ... This app had more information, worked smoother, was more intuitive, and was just generally an amazing app a year or so ago, then they ruined it. I guess they want their competitors to shine. I never looked elsewhere before, now I use competitors sites more as they feel more detailed in results and search. Big fail autotrader, are you happy I rated you now? Feedback a joke, outsourced.
