Easy access from from Google Assistant to Tasker. You still need some experience in Tasker profiles/tasks and the usage of plug-ins like AutoApps family, but it's still fairly quick. Once setup you can do Okay Google, Ask AutoVoice "trigger words", but it's far easier to create an Assistant routine that has the variations of the trigger words and has a single action of "Ask AutoVoice 'trigger words'". Make sure to set up a variety of responses when you configure the Tasker profile.
Another great plugin for Tasker! Been using it for a few years and wouldn't go without it. It can be used to set reminders, run tasks, and more. Intergrades well with Google Assistant! Also, the developer is quick to respond to questions!
Good App with a lot of features. I linked it with my Smarthome and can now use google voice commands for controlling diffrent things. but i have 2 problems. 1. i can't use the phrase "hey google", i always need to press the microphone button before the command. 2. maybe because of the first problem, i can't use it over my google home mini that also uses phrases like "ok, google". Is this my fault or isn't it possible to do this. i would love to use it handsfree over mit google home mini
This is the most useful app I have downloaded in years, it saved me from wasting many hours with AWS documentation to setup an Alexa Smart Home device. Initially I thought I'd have to build an Android app to handle a custom intent, but even that is not necessary with AutoTools (Wake on LAN) and AutoRemote + Event Ghost, which fulfills all my needs without spending days programming myself. Thank you for your excellent work, I really appreciate it! Rarely software is that impressive.
One of the essential additions to Tasker. Once integrated with Google Assistant, you can execute Tasker tasks. Amazing, but it allows you to set up variables with your voice, which you can then push on to other tasks. If you know your way about Tasker there's so many things you can do with the variables; it's potential to use with home hubs etc is immense. Works great on Autowear too. Superb at recognising what I say. Works consistently. Top class app. Amazing dev. Get this if you have Tasker.
It does everything I expected and wanted, but it has one really annoying dimenishing aspect that lowers my rating. Asking the Google assistant, to ask the autovoice assistant, to do something is both clumsy and longwinded. Yet, the feature to just use the autovoice hot word assistant results in constant false triggers. Like every few minutes and randomly.
Great app.. I have being use for a while, it would be great to see it work without Google.. If it does the totally 5 stars and recommended to all of android users as only autovoice can do offline command trigger as well along with Tasker
nice when it works, I use ambient noise feature a small change would make it work all time currently Microphone Access is enabled only "while using the app" instead of "allow all the time" as in other apps, this option is missing and I think it's up to the app code to enable it so, please enable the "while using the app" option for microphone access Android 11 on Samsung
Tasker and associated extensions/plugins (alone, or working with IFTTT and others) are at the pinnacle of what it means to make Android the basis for a fully customizable ecosystem, capable of serving a vast array of automation needs. AutoVoice is a key component of what makes Tasker great!
Love it. I've used AutoVoice(AV) for some time. Google assistant(GA) now handles some of my home automation things but not all. So using AV with Tasker to handle those things is really great. For example, in the past I've been able to ask google on my phone to unlock my door but that has been removed (for security with the GA device) Using AV I can have that happen now. So if your an avid Tasker user, AV is a way to allow you to ask Tasker to do things GA won't or can't.
The app works half of the time, I'm getting the "I couldn't identify your voice to use AutoVoice... " On my google home mini, even though i already trained the google home mini like 8 times and reboot it like 15 and factory reset it once. Is a very annoying problem.
Awesome app. Allowed me to use Amazon Alexa to lock my front door (through Tasker on my Android phone), even though the lock is not compatible with Alexa (it has its own app that doesn't talk to Alexa). Took a little bit of messing around to figure it out, but now it works perfectly.
Just got Tasker earlier today and figured out how to use it to set up some things I was missing on my OnePlus 6. Then thought, hmm, I'd like to ask my Echo Dot to bring up Accuweather on my phone! So I went googling and found this app, along with its partner skill on Amazon's Alexa store. With just a few minutes of figuring it out, I was able to do what I wanted! I did not think it would be so easy, with my lack of coding background of any sort. It just works, man!
It's a great app, unfortunately stopped working for me now. Continuous mode is not working, in the logs it says "Probably another app used the microphone" but no other app has the permission to use microphone. Can't get it to work again. 😔
this is great, but today, google says autovoice is no longer available... i understand you have to change things everytime they do but so far in years, i have never had "no longer available" like google has disabled it or changed something, can this please be sorted? it does the same on two phones and google home "which just uses the phone to send the command anyway" i hope his can be sorted and sorted soon, still gets 5 stars simply because of what it does when its working, i hope this is a hiccup and not the future :( (sorry for your troubles dude, if anyone knows this app, they will rate it 5 stars regardless of this hiccup that GOOGLE has caused, hope you get it resolved soon so i can control my whole house again :( )
Like all the AutoApps, simple enough for a beginner to understand yet powerful enough to contend with actual coding. Alexa talks way too much so this allowed me to build my own. A simple "yes, master" or "i failed" is all i need for a response!
Worked okay. Caused my Google Assistant to ignore activation (long press on wired headset) when my screen was off. Speculate is asking for permission to route button press to the app instead of Google, but screen is off and I can't see it. Uninstalled and now Google Assistant works again.
Great way to set custom commands in Google assistant both on your android device and wherever else you use assistant (e.g. Google Home devices, chromebooks, etc.) that do almost anything you can imagine via the Tasker android app!
Able to help with integrating health apps that could provide spoken feedback or actions I needed on the fly such as announcing heart rate or blood glucose levels without having to directly turn to my phone. Helps others not have to add the same code for every app to integrate with Google Assistant.
Sadly its not good enough, i really haven't found a way to whistle specific tones to my phone to launch tasks, or to clap twice for an action trigger, i think is something missing from Android. Think you should add it
Why does it send the command to all devices? I'm keeping the same profiles on 2 phones and the profiles are excuted twice. Although sending the command to all devices might be very useful, but isn't there any way to control this behavior?
Great offline recognition for hands free accessibility. Just has a bug where sometimes it outputs the last heard text even if told to error on no audio heard.
I never used this app before. In less than 50 mins I was able to WOL my LG tv from Alexa on android using an autovoice skill + app and tasker + 3rd party app for WOL. One could tell me "ok, it's a little task, you could do it only with Alexa" and yet neither Alexa, nor Thinq, nor WOLskill on Amzn skill market were able to do so. Although the tv is WOWL capable and every single device I own wakes it up on LAN. 1st thing I did - bought premium then asked myself why do I need Alexa actually???
Just here to offset 1 star reviews that might come through while Google fixes an issue on their end that's blocking AutoVoice from working rn. Great developer + plugin.
Not working. "Getting Autovoice Action Error" When trying to run Alexa Routine. That's the only reason why I purchased this app and it doesn't work.
Currently not working with Google assistant, but normally works flawlessly. Google took it down after approving it, and is giving the developer the runaround.
Tasker is probably the single most powerful and useful app on my phone. This looks promising, though I'm just starting to use it. My plan is to use it as a complement or backup to Google Assistant. There are some things Assistant can't do well or at all. I'm hoping AutoVoice and Tasker can catch these cases. First impression is good. I'll update my review when I've used it more.
