Avast Battery Saver

It works all right to close apps (though after about 5 minutes they will all be open again anyway, sometimes more.) Sometimes it stops midway and freezes. Sometimes it makes my screen go black. But the thing i really hate are the ads. Randomly it'll do ads, sometimes after I've closed out all my programs (including this one), that are full volume of of no where, and I have to open my phone again quickly to shut it off.

So far with the Avast clean up it has done wonders with my phone. My phone was slow and it wouldn't charge properly. I had over 5 Gb memory freed. The phone wouldn't charge property, it seemed to be stuck at 10%, but now after using Avast, the battery is charging properly. And everything is smoother, it works at it is supposed to. But I'll be looking forward to see how everything works when I'm out and about. I might consider buying the ad free version but the ads aren't intrusive.

Like others reported, ongoing issue where it disconnects Bluetooth when the screen blacks, even when the profile is set to have BT on. First time this happened I had to jump through weird hoops to have it sorted - somehing about an old version of the app lingering - but this has now happened again, I CBA to keep faffing about to resolve this. Uninstalled on the spot, resolved the issue on the spot. Interestingly I hardly notice a difference in my battery life with the app uninstalled. Not sure I'll renew or re-install.

Overall, I like this app. I gave it (4) stars because there is no option to set the app to automatically shut down other specific apps. Why is this SO important? Because once a program is shut down, frequently they automatically restart within minutes, or even seconds! Make this change and I'll change the review to (5) stars.

Works behind the scenes with very little effort on your behalf. It has helped with the speed of my phone as well as a considerable boost to the length of a charge. There are ads, but not enough to be much of a nuisance. A very small price to pay for a great service. And if you really hate ads, pay a very small fee and upgrade your service. Thanks Avast!

I have been using this app for about a week now, and I have to say that it has really done what it claims to have been ablr to accomplish. I also wanted to mention that I havent upgraded to the paid version yet, and am quite satisfied with it's simplicity of use, effectiveness on my battery consumption, and the fact that it can be utilized for free if you're okay with minor ads. Great app if youre looking for a battery saver, and has a variety of companion apps by the same developer!

It's a stupid app,in few minutes of use i encountered problems which was better for me to remove the app. It drains more battery too. Reasons are:- *it tries to turn on your wifi and stop using your mobile data to try to save battery and there's no way to turn that off, constantly prompts about it and is very annoying,esp for someone who doesn't have a wifi connection. * sets the brightness meter upto the middle everytime you turn it down, the app sets it back up again. *uses data to load ads

Overall I like the app. Just one problem: For me, night mode doesn't turn off automatically, even tho the time set has passed. I have to open the app, re-set the "off" time for Night Profile, and then it switches to another profile. This Problem is on my Phone and Tablet awsell. Please fix this!

Update. 1/10/20-- App locking still a problem. Not stopping as they state. Sent numerous emails but to no avail. They will NOT fix the problem. Will not upgrade and pay for service that has known and ignored problems. I have been using avast for years beginning on my desktop and then my phones. Last 2 updates not fixing problem. Looking for a different product.

Have now used all Avast Apps for a reasonable time. Mobile Security, Antivirus, Cleanup, with the excellent Pro Version Tools; has a short, acceptable video at start, not annoying, short, not irritating. The Password App is very good. As a 'Family' of Avast Security Apps, it has to be 5⭐, and also individually. Overall functionality is all you need - e.g assessing photos, apps, files, memory - the lot IMHO. Hibernate BG apps, daily auto-cleanup, get best battery chargeing. Thanks team. 🙉🙈🙊🙏💫

I normally love Avast products as I have been running their antivirus on Windows for over a decade or more, however I had to uninstall there battery saver , it kept changing my screen time out to immediatel after each android restart and the timeout I set would not stick. It became a big problem. I hope they can fix this.

Mostly a reminder to myself not to download this again. It turns off my blue light filter Twilight arbitrarily, and used with Avast cleanup app, it crashed my phone within minutes of installation. First time i ever had to get to the boot menu to restart this phone. There's probably some way to make it work, but its easier to uninstall it.

Avast!! What's going on? Loyal customer here and I've been paying for this app just to not be able to download it? That's a big let down. I may be canceling my mobile security subscription as well. I refuse to pay $7 for an app that won't download on any phone I've tried to download it on. I have 3 other devices I've tried this with and it worked on none of them. I fully believe that this is the easier, cheaper and better option for my phones battery drainage. It allows me too see what apps or draining thw battery, and now it does it with live notifications as well. Ive used a lot of battery savers- and for Android this is it.

Appears to work well and is easy to use, but like all Avast products these days, it is far too naggy and also has too many ads. It also ironically uses too much battery. There are plenty of alternatives with less flaws

Avast products are the best ive tried, this one will keep apps from running on the background, you can add different apps to a list off allowed apps and that way it will only end the ones you want it to, with one click of the button.

If I could give it no stars I would. The battery saver worked great for a time, but then suddenly it went haywire, disconnected wifi and 4g and would not let me re-engage it! went from havinf 18+ hours of battery kife down to just 6 from a full battery as well.

apps starts right back up battery saver isn't what it' supposed to be it' also turns WiFi on and brighten screen the brightest it' can. witch is not good on the battery at all. so really it's not doing what it' says about saving battery. battery still drains quick

this app made my phone run even slower and after I downloaded it, my phone kept freezing and having many glitches. even the battery started getting hot for some reason. i immediately deleted the app and restarted my phone and it went back to normal, so i know that it was from the app and not something else too bad it looked promising....

Awful - refused to allow me to cancel my subscription even though the auto renewal was turned off. They removed the funds from my account causing major problems with my debit card. I live on a small social security check. It did not matter with Google nor did it matter with the Avast Co. They refused to cancel my 2019 renewal and refund my money.

Downloaded the Avast Suite Ultimate OK, but can't download the battery saver.. looks as if Google play is locked in "waiting to download". Have some functions on the suite but would like to use the app.. Password app is OK now, could download it.

I think it's just a platform to sell me more stuff. You think you're upgrading and then they want you to upgrade again. You think when you upgrade you get all the stuff but you don't. By the time you're done I bet you've spent over $100.00! Yeah the free version might be great but don't upgrade you'll be sorry. If you don't "REFUND MY CREDIT CARD" , I'll start a campaign against you guys. Chris J.

I found it from recommendations that had no skin in the game. It does work after a few days you'll notice a difference. Highly recommend this app especially if you have a S8 or S9.

You guys h ave a good security app, but the battery app doesn't get it. The majority of the time it freezes, and in order to get off the page I have to restart my device.

i like the app but when it won't accept no notification on battery percentage on top of permanent screen, and the phone itself already had one there. It must be deleted. Not that much room up there for redundant notifications.

After stop apps. The orange screen sometimes freeze the screen and need to remove battery to restart. No solution for screen hang after stop apps. It make to hate this app. But rest of the performance is ok

DON"T BUY!!! Once you subscribe you can't quit, I followed directions (SUBSCRIPTIONS-MANAGE SUBSCRIPTIONS) and clicking on one puts you right back on the other, just puts you in an endless loop.
