I used the previous version a while ago and it was the exact opposite of this one: efficient and discreet. Now it just pops ups notifications and alerts all the time just to make me open the app and see ads after ads after ads. If i want to see commercials for nothing i can just turn on a tv. No thanks. Uninstalled.
When i first installed this app, it was amazing. The deep clean feature worked really well and it would clear lots of storage in just a few minutes. However, for some reason, that doesn't work now. Whenever i do the deep cache clean, all of the items fail, it just opens up the app details and goes to the next app. So nowi have to manually go in and clean my chaches, which takes a long time. I really hope they fix this.
I have to give it a so-so, middle of the road score. I think I have a subscription, but I'm going to cancel it because I just think that CC Cleaner (Am I allowed to use the name or competitor?) is more straightforward. I don't "see" what Avast does when it comes to cleaning up apps and stuff, unlike the competition, so I'm going to uninstall it but keep paying for the security app... If I'm remembering that split correctly.
Uninstalled as soon as the video ads started playing. I don't want to have to wait for the skip button but then misclick and take me to the play store for the ad's advertising app and then have to return to Avast cleanup. The ads ruin the whole user experience and no, I refuse to pay for it just to get rid of ads. If you're going to put ads then at least make it less intrusive and not ruin the user's experience.
After recent updates I receive failures to force stop and failures to clean cache on programs that I never received failures with the previous versions. Sent emails to developer support with screen capture images of failures. Did this about failures on 2 different devices. They just say they're "working on it." Read the reviews boys! Something is WRONG with your app.
I have security concerns with this app. The app does unknown things while you're not using it, slowing the phone down very, very noticeably. It should shut down and clearly list every action it takes in the background. As soon as you use it, remove the storage and remove "appear on top" permissions to shut it down and remove access. It does clean the cashe if you buy it. Minimal value app. The app got a downgrade. It doesn't show how many MB were cleaned from each apps cashe anymore.
Was happy with this app until recently when it offered me to create space by optimising my photos. I chose to back them up on a cloud and then after optimising to delete the originals from the devise to to create more space. But all that happened is that my photos all turned grey and no where to be found again. Its really painfull cause there were some important ones too. I trusted that the app would at least have created a back up since I linked with my drive but nothing good came out. So sad.
This app used to be amazing but it never works anymore and support always says to uninstall and reinstall. It will work maybe once or twice after each reinstall. Avast seriously needs to fix this. Cleaning the cache always fails, force stopping apps always fails. Forcestop doesn't even list all my apps anymore, just a handful and rarely the ones using the most battery. And somehow cleanup is one of the apps using most of my battery all day. Fix it. Please.
I dont understand how it's supposed to clean up your phone for more storage but at the same time it downloads punch of ads to show it to you. You CANT even skip the ad. I already pay for the antivirus avast but it's not counted with this app. Unlike northen antivirus where everything is included in your payment. My advise, don't download this app, lots and lots of unskippable ads. This app USED to be good. But not anymore.
Fantastic app. Although it is very intermittent at cleaning. Keeps your device nice and clean, when it does work efficiently. Gets rid of those huge memory caches that most apps build up during use. Used daily, your device performance is always optimised. I recommend getting the Avast Premium Cleanup Annual subscription, however, this app needs fixing.
Great experience with cleaning my phones storage! However, going to delete photos or videos through this app will permanently delete them and there is no way to recover them. I have uninstalled an app and a pop up will show that there is leftover data from the app and I unknowingly allowed avast to delete it and photos from the app will be deleted permanently.
Nice and powerful, easy to use but a setback I've found is that it's so powerful that erases some features as personalized ringtones, having me to re set them up periodically which is a drag while some things you expect to be cleaned just remain there. I restarted my phone and reinstalled all apps and now some features I had went away. Before I could stop some apps and now the only option I have is to delete them, as if you delete an app just because is taking up space or using much memory.
Since most recent update been very frustrated. I pay for the added service to clean my phone. When cleaning junk files, it's failing and not successfully clearing out popular apps like Chrome, Instagram, FB, etc. LOVED it prior to last update. Paying yearly for a service that no longer cleans my phone properly! PLEASE FIX it I'll cancel annual service.
If you've noticed that your phone is full but can't see why.. It turns out on android that Telegram keeps a secret cache of every photo, audio, video and document you have viewed or sent on telegram in a cache folder. I had been puzzled why my phone was full for weeks and weeks even though I had transfered all videos to SD card and done regular storage cleaning. I installed avast cleanup today and did a scan and under telegram it found 28gb of data! Cleaned and all better!
I like this app, but just before i could utilize all it has in store for me, it deleted my important audio and video files during a cleanup and i'm so frustrated by this. 😬 Please can i possibly recover these files on the app, how? For this disservice, i'm giving the app just 1*. And if you fail to restore my files, i'm going to uninstall the potopoto app! 😬
On the whole its good, the vpn can be a pain on the pc, as it keeps dropping and reconnecting. And when you subscribe to extra products, they don't marry it to the renewal date of your existing products, so you can end up with 2,3 or 4 renewal dates, why.
Do not contaminate your phone with this app. I did and in the four subsequent days the phone became super slow to unresponsive, anything I had running crashed multiple times, and I had to restart six times. Don't do it!
Nothing good. Crashed phone, problem solving by adding paid for additions, and still freezes up when I removed their app. Very tired. I thought it would be the answer to the few problems I had. It created MORE!
This was good but now just a gimmick to get you to pay as the free one with lots of adverts which I expect, but only gives you minimal cleanup unless you pay for the paid version. Other much better free one's out there with full cleanup.
Every time I use Avast Cleanup, after a cleanup I keep getting the same pop-up asking if I like it. Can it stop. I already gave it a thumbs up 10 times already. Very annoying and stupid at this point now. 😖 Please add a fix for this annoyance to the next future update. It would be much appreciated. 🙂 Thanks.
Great app! No problems & it does exactly what it's supposed to! Very happy with it! 22/04/2022 Started to have problems with the app not doing what it used to. Uninstalled & re-installed app upgrade. Now it works effortlessly & no problems at all! Very pleased!
The app is great with many features. I love being able to drop certain apps running in the background and even removing a few. Boost is great.
I tried to use the Avast paid app which seems to work fine on my Samsung 10 e however to deep clean I had to download this application. After doing so, on the second page of this application you can't see the accept button on a Samsung 10e phone. 0/5 Also WHY DOES YOUR APP WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR EVERY LITTLE THING THAT WAS, AND IS PAID FOR MONTHLY. I'VE ABOUT HAD IT WITH THIS APP!!! Sorry but I've had enough of this bait and switch BS!!! I'm outta here. Cancelling the app today! DISAPPOINTING!
While the simple features like quick clean seem to work just fine, more advanced tools are problematic. I wanted to optimise all my photos (roughly 7000 photos) but the process stopped somewhere in the middle and it didn't delete the original files. This happened multiple times creating an extra 4000 photos which I don't even know where are.
