Avia Weather - METAR & TAF

Excellent app. Well designed, easy to use, I've never had any problems with it. Really nice to have the home page widget, just to see what the wx at the local field is. As a flight instructor, having all of the airports in the area was massively helpful in making go/no go decisions for local flights. 5 stars, 10/10, great app.

This app runs very poorly for several minutes after launch when there's too many user stations loaded in the database. It would be nice if the app would allow users to choose to refresh all stations at start or refresh only on demand, after user has selected and clicked on the desired station, to avoid boggling down the entire app at start. I get way too many "Avia Weather Stopped Responding" warnings. Apparently the station backup somehow became a subscription. I'll never pay for it.

My local airport Gloucester app data has changed ? Suddenly showing an extra runway and incorrect runway numbers for the rest . Have emailed AIP info ,as I was unable to update airfield details on the app . Still has incorrect data weeks later ! Thought this data was updated regularly from FAA source ?

Great app! Favorites list shows up immediately. Very convenient for your typical flying or driving area. Translated or raw forecast & current (TAF&METAR) weather. Runways with current crosswind component. NOTAM too.

Great app. Replaced my previous aviation weather app. Easy to read and use. Very much like the ability to use local times for my weather. NOTAMS are just one tab away and decoded. Highly recommend.

This app is great for getting metar on the fly. I love the widgets. The weather is always accurate to that from awc or 1800wxbrief. Amazing app makes everything a lot quicker and easier.

What a great app. Use it every time I go flying. Use it for professional pilot job also. The paid version is worth every penny. Especially for notams! Excellent product.

I use this app very often to check winds where I'm starting and going. Very simple to get instant info without tons of clicking. Also can see winds from like 8 airports at the exact same time

Great quick weather tool for Android, I bought the widget and am so glad, I have yet to find an app that is as organized as this, still some background running issues but I think that's on Samsung more than the dev

Exactly what I needed. METAR data is decoded, easy to read. Original format is also available. Good personalization options.

First few hours using this app. Looking good so far. With my background in aviation (now retired) I don't need all the conversion... But whatever, its cool 😎. Does the widget need to be paid for? I'll learn in 6 days, lol Overall, a good free app 4.5 stars ✨

Very good! Easy and well-designed layout, I recommend it. 👍 Suggestions: The ability to reorder stations, and for some reason American cities show up first when searching. As a European, I'd prefer to find Paris, France, rather than five different Paris' in the US when searching. But those are minor things, still a nice app.

I use this app a lot and find it extremely useful. I set up groups for airports along an intended route of flight and can then very quickly get a weather picture while preparing for a flight. One suggestion: put a symbol for an airport where a TAF is available. On an unfamiliar route I might set up 30 airports in a group. Then as departure time approaches and I want to see forecasts, I can never remember which airports in the list have TAFs and I end up with lots of unnecessary clicking. If there were a symbol to illustrate a TAF is available it would make the app even better for me. Great app.

Excellently thought out, very configurable, easy to setup a favorites list, and when viewing the list, the most important information - winds, ceiling, visability, and flight rule (IFR/VFR/MVFR etc.) with color coding is viewable for all your airports without the need to drill down through multiple layers as you would with other apps. Very well done!!

Great app! Love how easy it is to get the data I need, and how intuitive it is to navigate. I do wish critical NOTAMs like runway or airport closures would appear on the main airport tiles, highlighted. Today we missed a runway closure because it was buried about 8 NOTAMs down under aerodrome. If it could appear in red in the lower corner opposite the sky condition info, that would be hugely helpful. Highly recommend this app, and as a CFI I have started pointing my students to it.

Straightforward and easy to use. Add as many airports basically as you need to. I can do without the runway wind function and NOTAMs but if I were not a simulator 'pilot' I'd probably elect to have these. Not sure if the runway wind data is meant to show crosswind component or is actually readout from runway end sensors. I think the former. Anyway this is a great little app. Try it out.

Undoubtedly great app. Being a pilot i have always used this app. I have crosschecked the data always with my company weather packages and found that the data has always been reliable. But theres one very important feature i would like to suggest. Please include customisable weather alerts where people could set their minima(visibility,windspeed, temperature,severe weather and weather trends) and get alerted whenever the weather at selected airport drops below the user set minima.

The previous metar app I used stopped working a few weeks ago and I was forced to migrate. Of the 3 options I tried, this was easily the best and only one to offer notams as far as I could tell. Clean interface with lots of information. Getting the pro upgrade was an easy decision.

Would like to see feature that allows user to set a notification for when a selected field goes VFR or IFR. Wish this was available on Apple App Store as well. A must have app!

Very useful. Real time weather basics enroute aids planning and alternates. For vintage flyers, a big plus.I

For a free app it's a simple amd useful way of getting weather at pretty much any weather reporting station.

Still love it. But this latest update appears to prevent a whole page update and instead requires an individual airport click and swipe to update.

Easy to use, if you don't understand all the raw format, there is a decoded format. Great app!

Great app that does what it is supposed to do. I have several airports "surrounding" Me and I can quickly get a good idea of weather trends for my area.

Very easy to use especially like the ability to switch between raw and decoded weather.

Unreliable. METARs routinely don't load despite METARs existing (checked against Foreflight or aviationweather.gov). The way Avia depicts winds on the runway section is at best un-intuitive (no reference for which way the arrows are facing relative to the screen/the runway) and at worst catastrophically useless. I would not buy this app again, I don't recommend it and I'm mad I bought it in the first place. Apparently it's much better on Apple but that's no help.

Great wx app. saves me from having to use that hot piece of garbage garmin pilot for android just to check wx conditions. I wish the widgets pushed information a little quicker because i still feel like i need to open the app and refresh to make sure i have the most current information, but that is an extremely minor issue. Wouldnt mind seeing a radar option at some point in the future, but thats avaialable in other apps, and this one does what it says it does very well and is worth the price.
