Aviation Exam

Having finally completed my CPL(H) course, I have to say; I would not have been able to if it wasn't for AE. In my opinion you have to use some form of question database since the information found in conventional literature doesn't take into account the insane twists and turns of the EASA examiners questions. The questions comes with a mostly understandable and well written explanation that helps build actual knowledge and help you understand the subject at hand. This to the degree that for several subjects, I didn't even bother opening my real books (Nordian). Comment section serves as another great way to learn tricks and tips to get through the exams as well as some hilarious comments, helping you ease through the frustration. One thing I would have liked added to the app is a way to sync your overall progress. The app and the browser works like "separate" progressions meaning that the "already seen" function doesn't work if you use both app and browser. Overall, a necessity when studying for you license!

Essential to prepare yourself for aviation. The only reason it is 4/5 is because there are many questions which lack a good explanation, especially with confusing questions combined with confusing answers. It would be great if the incorrect answers are explained as well, so we find out why we should not choose those incorrect answers in the future. That being said, getting ready for aviation would be so much harder without AE, so I would most certainly recommend it.

There are quite a few bugs and poor programming decisions when it comes to reading the books on a mobile platform. For one scrolling on the books often leads to accidently turning a page rather than just moving the the area of the book displayed. This could be fixed by simply having touch responses on the far side of the phone register for turning the page and let every other touch register for moving the display. Other than this major frustration, the app does seem like a wealth of knowledge.

So far it has helped a lot to study for the exam. Let's see how the exam will go. As for the use of the app it is very simple to use and let's you review wrong answers and possible explanations. Price is a factor but if I pass that is better than learning from a book as I can do it from anywhere and any time.

2 things,the first it cannot be used in landscape mode (rotate mode) and secondly, cannot screen capture. At first I thought screen capture is forbidden as it all about copyrights, but in any ios device, screenshot is possible in any way. They also can do in rotated mode (horizontally). However for android users, it seems impossible to do so. Please fix for us too, 5 stars can wait. Thank you.

Recently joined the app and i want purchase a subscription . Everytime i try to make a purchase it just freezes unexpectedly saying still "purchasing" kept trying and trying and gave it an like an 1 hour to respond. Still no success. Its good thing it dint take my money though. guess I'll have to wait next update.

I'm giving serious consideration to becoming a private pilot and chose this app to be a base line for my knowledge before spending money to take any courses (I like to know everything before I begin) however ALL attempts to purchase/ subscribe to the app have failed due to a broken link, attempting to open the store. If this can be fixed, in excited to see what this app can truly be capable of

No option to cancel/reset wrong answered tests and questions, so it is affecting overall final results. Don't like a "wall of same text", leak of the right answers in explanations. In general I found this system annoying.

Pretty good, but there are several questions where they are not clear (they answer isn't indicated by the question asked) or flat out wrong. This is frustrating. Also you cannot make notes on the images with a pen based tablet such as calcluations, lines on perf charts. Update: The response seems helpful, but really is just to make themselves look better. They have a forum for discussion built in and the only time I've seen comments is when there is a problem with a question/answer.

good app on mobile devices . terrible desktop support and requires ridiculous amount of personal information (name/country/email/phonenumber) additional to the licence price. there is no official download.exe etc supplied for desktop you need to have an account for appmarket to be able to download it . I remember the old times where you just buy stuff and that was it . to bad that nowerdays everything is just mobile optimised and your privacy is on sale. and it's selling fast .

I hope AE changes the method of explanation, not just a copy paste and repetitive form, its wasting time, more than 1000 questions to be finished just for 1 subject. I wish the explanation can be more precise and straight to that point instead of looking at 3 pages of worth of nothing...

I am using it to study for ATPL(A) exams and it is amazing. The questions presented here are almost identical at the real examinations. However, a suggestion for AE team that maybe they could add an option to finish a study without having to do all the selected questions previously (finish at 19/50 questions and get the results displayed), as an alternative to saving the test (like BGS QB does)!

I feel it provides me great learning experience. I can save some questions for reviewing for later, it has great explainations section as well as comments from fellow students that can be helpfull as well as entertaining ;) working without any bugs, no crashdowns.

After login it crashes. I contacted support (as they commented there a week after my report). They confirmed that problem exists when I'm using Google Sign-In. Suggested to don't use it. Better to fix issue than offering workaround.

I have been learning much in prep for the ADX exam. I wish the app were compatible for PCs with Windows 7 and 8. I would prefer a large screen to my smartphone for studies.

Apparently Aviation Exam covers only EASA now. This was such a great app until the developers disabled the FAA knowledge exam subscriptions. It was the best FAA private pilot study prep app around. They offered everything in one place...private pilot, rotorcraft, glider, instrument, commercial. I'm not sure why it was discontinued. I wanted to keep my subscription current at least until I finished the checkride in a few months, but when I tried to renew a few days ago the links were broken. When I went to their website there is no mention of FAA anywhere, except for links to download the FAA manuals, which you can just do yourself from the FAA website. I was hoping to continue using this app for the instrument rating and possibly commercial, but I will have to find another solution. I feel silly having recommended Aviation Exam to my flight instructors and fellow student pilots over the last 8 months.

Sync is way too slow and pretty much everytime you open the app it will happen.. So annoying. The entire app could be way better for the amount of money we are spending.

hi there, the mobile application have bug your didn't read any of faa ebook, it's free of charge that's the big bug you didn't keep it in your minde. hope you can fix that big problem or you can made any cutation for that and the applcation it's easy for use. thanks

For the most part, it is really useful however majority of the questions have a generic copy & paste explanation which does not aid the student at all. This program isn't free so think about that.

So far the app seemed good so I paid for the subscription. However for the FAA question it won't let me test more than 5% questions. When it asked to subscribe, it just takes me to the free FAA manuals. I paid for the whole year but just the EASA test questions work, not the FAA question bank. I will be requesting a refunded without any help on this or fix. Update, The company responded quickly to my problem and refunded my money. Sadly they don't have FAA question back anymore.

Very helpful app, just the single improvement which would be of a BIG help would be the introduction of PPL exams for EASA, as I have many colleagues who use this app, and they are at the beginning with PPL. Hope it would be possible in the future !

Most organized and user friendly FAA test prep app I have found. Works for pilot and A&P licenses. The features are not free however I'd prefer to pay $30 for a 6 month use for specific study areas than have a free app that is not user friendly and I therefore avoid.

exceptional, but if we change the explanation to be more explicit , to avoid a confusion and learn with different exercises but same/similar way/ways to get the answer, it would be the bestest web exam .

This is a really easy way to practice for the EASA ATPL exam! The amount of questions is incredible. I would definetly say that this is a must have for any ATPL student. I haven't had my exams yet, but I will update my review when the exams are done.

Precisely developed and maintained by the Author. There is a frequent update of the database and there is also enough room for comments by the users. Well-maintained job. Keep doing the same great job

Hey Av exam, I'm an android user and I just want to ask you if you could allow for my phone to capture questions as it shows that there is a security policy over study mode, it would be easy to reference it with others through screenshots rather than sharing the question's ID, overall thank you!

Well you do much to test out the application with a subscription.....this isnt sportys,gliem, or king so honestly I'm not too interested in spending more money then whay ive already spent on aviation. At least not for something that look brand new

Great for FAA PPL . I used it for my preparation for FAA written exam and it really helped. The explanations for most questions are preeti valuable. I also read FAA free books. All Together make me pass scored 93% :) (I spend 2 weeks studying, and I had my EASA PPL exam done previously).
