Aviator's Zulu Time Widget
For flight planning this app tells you the current time and the time in zulu for your proposed departure. By running the app or by clicking the widget you bring up the list showing current time in military format, AM/PM format, and zulu time. The list covers 28 hours so you don't have to do the calculation in your head. There is also a slider to quickly see zulutime for the past or future.
The home screen widget that can be sized from as small as practical to as large as practical. Several text styles are available to be compatible with nearly every home screen background. One can easily switch digit themes by tapping the "z" in the upper right corner of the app.
There are no ads and no personal information is connected plus no special permissions are required.

This app works very well for me. I use the widget (resized) on a couple of screens. As an amateur radio operator (ham), I log all my low band contacts using Zulu Time (GMT). The only thing that I would like to see is a dark UI or the option to have a dark UI to save a little battery juice. Kudos to the developer.
Excellent app for instant Zulu time On my home screen as a pilot this is a very great tool. The developer has superior tech support they stuck with me ( several email exchanges) after I upgraded my phone and had a issue getting the time tape to display correctly on my new device ended up being a widget page setting. Working perfectly now. I recommend this app to anyone that needs Zulu time at a glance.
I love the simplicity of this app. I was having trouble with the app initially, so I contacted the developer. The developer was very helpful, and we eventually figured out that a setting on my phone was blocking the widget from updating.
nice ap, I like the ease of use. may I suggest adding the option to add the widget to your lock screen also. it would be helpful not to have to unlock your phone to see the time. thanks for a simple app.
The widget font type and text size are so indistinct and small, the time is barely readable with my glasses on. I tried different colors and fonts and nothing helped. This was in an S10.
As a ham radio operator, the is great. Work well and the widget is perfect on the home screen. One additional item would be to set an alarm reminder. 5+
24 FEB 2021 UPDATE: I have installed v 3.20 5 days ago and app seems to be woking fine on Pixel 4a. Phone seems stable now. Thanks! Updated rating ORIGINAL REVIEW: December 2020 update killing my battery and locking up phone on Pixel 4a. This app killed 15% of my battery in 3 hours, phone unresponsive. Uninstalled and problem went away. A few days later I reinstalled and problems came back immediately. I had no problems before this update. Frustrating as I purchased this app now have to delete
Worked ok for a while. Now when opening the widget the program crashes. Tried reinstalling. No difference. Edit: updated to new version. Fixed the problem, thanks.
Good app! Does all it needs to. Would love if we could change the color of the widget background and opacity so it dosent blend with the background through!
This app is simple and accurate. Before the update it caused me difficulties, but after contacting Rand Dev they were prompt to fixing the bugs and everything works absolutly great.
The zulu widget on home screen doesn't automatically refresh with local time on home screen. I'm having to manually go into the app to burp it. Will give 5 stars once fixed. Edit: in response to Rand Dev Only up to 5 minutes
The widget is really nice and easy to use. But widget doesn't update until I open the app and close it. I will give you 5 stars when that is fixed
It sorta does what I want. I was hoping I could create a widget that would have 24hr time AND Zulu time within the same box, or even two next to one another on my home screen. When I'm getting atis or notams this would be helpful. Am I missing something?
This app sent my phone into " system ui has stopped. Had to remove in safe mode.

I'm not an aviator, but I work with flight schedules. This is an excellent app. Thank you. Before this app, I tried making a world clock widget for Greenwich, but this app is so much better.

I needed a quick way to know current and future zulu time for flight planning and this app does this exceptionally well.
Update: Developer replied same day with instructions to change the Widget color from inside the app by selecting the 'Z' in the you're r/h corner. Several preselected colors and font sizes are available. Works for me! Purchased this app specifically to use for quick reference in flying. Thought the Widget would be perfect, however, the Widget only aporrear in dark blue which is impossible to see over a dark background in your screen. Uninstalled (refunded), if Widget is updated I would utilize.
