Is Avocado still working?
This app no longer functions to its full capacity. I regularly have to remove it and re-install to force it to send me notifications because for no good reason the app will stop sending me notifications for my messages. If I'm not having that issue the app is often refusing to load messages often times even removing the app and re installing doesn't help. My messages won't even send today. Tired of the issues with the app
Now that Lollipop has been out for almost a year at this point. I would've hoped that this app wouldve moved on to Material Design. Now this app is terrible at all. I love it. And yet I feel like priority goes to iOS and Android will get an update whenever they get around to it. I mean, just glance over both versions of the app and you'll see which one has the better end of the deal.
I love the app, one of my favorites, but I can't log in anymore. When I click the send verification email, the email never appears in my inbox. Furthermore after trying to contact avocado about the issue 4 or more times, I have yet to get a response. Haven't been able to log in to the app for over a month now. I would rate it a 5 because when you can actually use it, it's a fabulous app, but I have to give it a 4 because the customer service is horrible.
I've had several issues with the app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The app probably needs updated to resolve them. Sometimes messages won't be sent for unknown reasons and I won't get a notification of a new message. I've had to force stop the app and clear the cache several times to regain function. Picture messages are the worst as far as getting them to go through and I've had issues where the app has actually ended up corrupting the file I was trying to send. Oh and I paid for the app.
I love the app, it is a really great concept. Especially for people in my situation with a long distance relationship. The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 stars, is because the app has a bit of lag, and sometimes my messages won't go through; they should really get that fixed. If they does I'll change my review to 5 stars. Update: from 4 stars to 3, I'm not getting any notifications. I still like it but I'm not satisfied.
A lot of messages are getting lost and the there are some bugs when trying to share pictures or videos. Texting is much more reliable for now and the appeal of paying for this is starting to wear off. No updates in over a year, it's too bad you guys gave up on your users.
We enjoy avocado, but update in November didn't allow pics from Ipad. January update continually crashes on Android. Great idea with poor implementation. These people are frauds bc they take your money and do not provide the service paid for by people. Cant send kisses through Android. Can't send hugs with Apple. I have complained to them 5 times in 9 months and they do nothing. Do not waste your money.
Good app so far. Would be nice to be able to color-code appointments in calendar, one color for each person, and another for shared events. One more thing - I've been getting notifications for messages and not showing those messages right away within the app. Using HTC One M8
I have a Nexus 6 and ever since the newest update,I have been having trouble sending photos. For the past month. It says failed to send image and sometimes notifications do not come through. Please address these issues. update:issue still there and you should also add android wear compatibility for voice response watch reply.
Got this app over 2 years ago. Most of the time bugs have been taken care of quickly. I haven't been able to use some of the features for over a week now. Not sure what happened. Emailed customer support, never recieved a reply. My girl and i are no longer able to upload pictures and send "kisses". This app is the main communication tool i have with my girl, i would like the issues to be resolved.< I am upping the rating since the issues i've had have been successufuly resolved. I am once again a happy user
I've had this application for 2 years now I pay for the yearly subscription, and it was certainly a great app when I first download it. As time passed more issues have come with updates. The notifications being late amongst other things has been really frustrating however with this most recent update I cannot send video it fails on WiFi and on 4G now that's frustrating. I'm the director of technology for my company so I know it's software based. These issues need to be fixed as they will lose marketshare
I've always loved avocado, and will continue to use it. Needs a face-lift, as well as more options for what displays in the message stream. Calendar and note interfaces are very poor. Expedited support for unlimited members is a joke. I was told the new support system would be faster, but mostly it's just harder to get an answer and now you don't have anyone's direct contact.
5 Dec... Still no notifications of new messages. This app is the worst. Waste of money. 1 Nov, paid member, Avocado has been DOWN for 2 days, no notification, nothing from the company. Since I downloaded this app, I always experienced difficulties receiving messages while on wifi. Allo is still better. I'm sure It will be able to hit 5 stars soon. Bugs I see: notifications are iffy, sometimes you get it sometimes you don't. It is very SLOW.
Used to be a fantastic app. Recent update (several weeks ago) has caused me to receive messages far after they were sent. Half the time they never even show up on my phone even though my partner sends them, the other half there's no notification that I got a message at all. No update since has rectified this. I'm only getting around to writing this now because I just realized it's still inexplicably installed.
Really neat app for being able to send text messages to your significant other. Also has the ability to create shared calendars and to store pictures/videos. The only slight criticism I have would be that I wish you could reply to messages while you were still in other apps like other text messaging apps do
I absolutely love this app and the idea behind it. It would be great to see some lollipop additions. I know there are new options for notifications and for customizing the look of the app itself with the new material design. Notifications have been iffy at times, but generally work well for us. I would love some sort of quick reply feature. The app takes a second to open and load up messages, so a quick reply would be a great timesaver. Overall, an awesome app that we use constantly!
Unfortunately, it seems like the app and it's users have been abandoned by the devs, they acknowledged the bugs and more but do nothing in the way of fixing them, bought the year paid subscription but by the looks of things I will not be renewing it. Most of the features don't work anymore... A pity. This app was... Beautiful and now it's nothing.
App hasnt been updated in literally 5 years, and you can't even get past the login screen. Good idea and all, but save your time and find a more current app.
