AGAIN YOURE FAQ DOESNT WORK. DOESNT WORK WITH SMART PHONE SWITCH OR CABLE DATA TRANSFER. Got a new Samsung S22+ And the backup file won't work. Followed the how to guide, still doesn't work. So stop saying check the FAQ, IT DOESNT WORK. I eventually gave up. It has worked for years but now the backup file is useless. Luckily I still have the old phone and can access all the passwords from it. Looks like I'm on the hunt for a new password storage app. Very disappointed.
Simple and secure app for keeping passwords. However on a upgrade from 9 to Android 11 unable to copy or share the data.crypt file for use on another device with the standard Android file manager as before. Had to use a alternative file with greater access to find a solution
been using the free version of this app successfully for 5 years now on iPhone and Android. works well and no major problems backing up and transferring the encrypted data between devices.
Easy enough to use but can't import the data or restore to a new phone without paying a fee. Even then didn't work, so $6 wasted to have to start over anyway.
I love this app, it is simple and i never buy any apps, i only stick to the free ones. But after 10 months of using this app, im now going too upgrade to the upgraded one. That way no matter what i can save my stuff to the cloud and take my personal info everywhere with me, at all times. You have to re-save all your passwords again to your new device if you get one. But the upgraded app you can download it and simply log in, and they appear, no more stress, and no more worries. Love this app
It's a good tool but now I'm stucked. I cannot move the database from Android 8 to Android 11. If I 'm transfering the data.crypt file through Bluetooth, the new app doesn't find it. If I'm copying with pc or using WiFi file transfer, the app is able to restore from backup but after this it doesn't accept any password, I'm not able to unlock the database. Finally the issue has been solved. I had to move the backup file to a different folder on the phone and copy it to the new phone from there.
I've used this app for many years and generally like it but today I wanted to transfer records from one category to another and was amazed to find that couldn't be done. Please consider making this change.
It is the best password manager I've ever used in my opinion. It doesn't show any intrusive ads. It can work offline as well which is much more secure(could be debatable) as it does not push your passwords to cloud, rather stores it locally in an encrypted format. You can easily export everything to file in case you switch phones. It basically does everything you'd expect it to do.
Great password backup app. Especially useful are the customization options (set up your own categories and also the information--data fields--you want to include, and which fields will be encrypted). Biometric option to open app is also great. _____ Only one small complaint: I wish it would request my password/biometric info when it first opens (as every other app I have does) rather than requiring I tap on an option first. It just adds a cumbersome extra step every time I open it.
Worked well for years. After phone update, suddenly my fingerprints and master password don't work. Now I've completly lost access to hundreds of passwords I've stored over the past several years! Other recent reviews mention the same exact issue but replies from the developer seem to suggest they forgot their password... Well I'm 100% certain I didn't forget it! THE APP FAILED and until that is acknowledged and fixed this app cannot be relied upon!
Paid for Pro Version to import csv. Was not straight forward but worked. Was working fine, liked the finger print feature. Suddenly stopped working now asks for me to buy it again. Same linked accounts. Contacted developer who informed to uninstall. Still shows as not pro. Developer offered refund but that does not solve my problem. You need reliability for a password safe, if its buggy and no fix then I would not recommend. Very disappointing. UPDATE: NOT 100% True. I was always using the correct account. It was just buggy. It should not require me to uninstall, then go into another computer and download it remotely. That is not a fix but a work around. I do like the product but I still believe it could be improved upon. Based upon this I would certainly look at other options first.
In principle a good and secure app but migrating to a new device is not user friendly. Apparently, the app not always recognises that one has paied when installing on a different device. But the customer support is fast and helpful. So send them an email if you have problems. They are fast.
It is a very good password manager. It's been on three of my phones and I refer it to my friends. I make sure to backup regularly. From time to time I connect the phone to my computer to copy the encrypted backup file. If my phone is stolen or brakes down, it gives me a better chance to recover when I place the file back on the new phone and enter the master password.
I loved this app until I changed my master password. I changed it, so that I would remember it when I switched to fingerprint access. I wrote it down, so I wouldn't forget if the fingerprint should fail. When the app updated, the fingerprint access were not available and I came back to the play store to see if others had it happen, and what to do. The creators say, you forgot your master password, so that is your fault. Update: no, the master password did not work. Yes, I tried that. Deleting.
I have way too many passwords to memorize, but I don't have to because this does it for me. I also like the ability to customize the random password generator.
How is possible that app is not synchronize between two phone? If I add something new in another I can't see. It's a shame.
I'd give it 5 stars but when I lost my master password and could not sign in with my figure print i lost all my data and had to start again.
App worked perfectly for months/year until yesterday when I got a new phone. Not 1 password restored. I replaced my previous phone before and my data restored just fine but not this time. I also purchased the awallet cloud which should have backed up my data. I don't have my passwords stored anywhere else since this app work perfectly fine until I had to learn the hard way. Very disappointed.
I started out loving this app. I changed/added my biometric and now it won't let me in. I used my password and it won't work. It also won't let me reset my password 😒
Hi. I gave bought the pro version of aWallet. But I can't transfer data from galaxy s8 to new galaxy s10. The file data.crypt not find on the path you gave me in popup window i see after export or backup was "done". I didn't see any warning about it wasn't created but it wasn't! I looked for the file in file browser of Samsung and also in ES explorer! Why I can't define the path I'd like to create the file?
the free version is simple and good. most importantly, the information stays local to my phone.
Simple and easy to use. Backup options ok. Free version enough for basic needs.
Wonderful App. I've been using it for around 6 years and it's safe and secure with no phone permissions involved. The fingerprint authentication makes it easier. Been using the same on all the devices I've changed over the years. Transferring the info to a new device is a piece of cake. Would be great if face recognition could be added too
it's an amazing app to store sensitive info that is local to your phone. just remember to back it up if you change phones or else you'll lose it all unless you upgrade to the cloud version. I choose not to do the cloud version bc I don't want to store sensitive info elsewhere. It does what it's intended to do brilliantly.
