Awesome icons

This app is awsome! I love how much you can personalize your device. It has stuff for everyone! Old school, modern, classic...& they're always adding new. Plus, you can make your own! My only comlpaint is, I can only use the icons on my home page & not in app drawer.* I would only knock it down 1/2 star, so I went ahead & gave it a 5. I would also like to point out, I have never noticed any ads, which is pretty awsome, for a free app, in my book. (*Just read, you can't change icons in drawer.)

You got rid of the icon on the bottom right! Was still 5 stars before that because it works awesome! :-). And it was the fault of oreo 8 as it affected all similar programs I tried. But I kept this one! Glad I did. Still not sure what the widget option from the program is. Doesn't work. But widget from home screen does the trick! Thanks!

This is exactly what I want... Almost. I hate how icons have be getting rounder and rounder, and I want to make them square again. This app does a great job and the icons look great, but it leaves a mini icon in the corner of the icon, often covering up the best part of the icon. This makes it totally useless. I'd rather stick with my ugly rounded icons than cover them up.

Actually works very well. I can use external icon packs with this to customise my home screen. You do lose some functionality having widget shortcuts to apps (no long press options) but if you don't mind that, this is a good work around for not having a different launcher. The icons persist even through a phone restart. The only issue is when I change the system from dark to light or other way, the Dock shortcuts revert back to original icons, the main screen icons maintained their custom icons.

💖💖💖 I've had this app for a LONG time now and it has only gotten better and better! I few features I'd love to see: • A way to hide apps you don't care to see or a way to select only the ones you do. • A way to compare several of the same and/or different icons. • A way to select the order in which the icon packs appear. I'd gladly pay for a premium version for any of these features. Still love it without them tho 😉

Honestly this is the only icon replacer app that does exactly what is needed with no unnecessary extras or drawbacks. It keeps image quality and transparency, and you can make both large widget shortcuts and normal small shortcuts (which actually show app name). For the latter, it's really easy to get rid of the little logo in the corner by making the shortcut through your phone's widget menu instead of the app menu itself. Every complaint people have comes from them not knowing how it works lol

It's good! But the icons will be bigger than normal and can only be square with sharp edges unless you edit your pictures to have rounded corners that blend with the background to create an illusion of soft corners and smaller icon. The icon name also does not work for me. I had to memorize which apps had which picture. You can try X Icon app, you will have hella ads unlike this app but you can change the shape and name and icons will be normal sized!

Absolutely brilliant! Just what I was looking for. The possibility of cropping and selecting a part of an existing image makes it so-o-o incredibly usable. One question: Would it be possible to adjust the vertical alignment of the resulting image? Also, it would be nice if the widgets could be resized.

LOVE this app. Hate that android 8 makes the little Awesome Icons icon on the new shortcut picture - I tried using the work-around, but my messaging app doesn't have a widget. I can create a widget without the little arrow, but the widget won't dock on the bottom row of my home screen. I can't just have shortcuts all over the place, they have to be corralled, lol! Either way, I'm not going to stop using Awesome Icons, I'll just live with the little arrow tattoo on my shortcuts! 😀

Has a nice, easy to use interface, but the Awesome Icons app icon overplayed in the corner the app icon I select looks awful. I downloaded this to allow my apps to look a certain way, and the overlay ruins that entire outcome. Unless/until this feature is removed, this app is a waste of time.

Icons consistently revert back to default icons. Wasted time setting all the shortcuts multiple times for them to simply go back to the default icons, only they have none of the press and hold functions a normal app icon would.

Immediately after installing this app, Pixel launcher crashed and the phone restarted on its own. The phone turned back on and I switched to a different launcher because pixel launcher crashed again. And then it attempted to factory format my phone. Uninstall the app and everything is fine. Do not recommend downloading this if you have a pixel I don't know how it works on other phones.

This app is excellent! It let's you change your app's icons and names, but I have a slight problem. Everytime I shut down my phone, it changes my app's name to 'awesome icon'. And it's kind of annoying to change it everytime I turn it on, so please fix it. I kind of like this app and I don't want to uninstall it. So please, please, please, please fix it!

Super useful little app that allows you to assign an icon of your choice (from icon packs that can be downloaded for free or paid for in the play store) to a particular app. Especially in conjunction with Nova Launcher, I can customize every icon in my app drawer, on my home screen, on my dock & in folders—I can even chooee different icons for each depending on where I want to access a particular app. Awesome Icons is a great compliment to Nova in terms of truly making my device my own.

I'm really disappointed. If I try to choose the "add widget" button, my launcher stops working. And if I don't add the widget, then the little arrow appears in the corner which spoils everything about the icon and makes it even worse than it already was. The only good thing is that it's simple and easy to navigate the app, but what good is that if other than that, the app serves no function?

I would give this 5 stars but on newer Androids it seems to be a must to have the little arrow in the corner. You can bypass this by creating a widget, which gets rid of the little arrow, but you can't dock widgets in the favorites tray down at the bottom. So if you could provide some sort of workaround for this it would be great.

Honestly this app is amazing its very easy to use and I was able to make my home screen look amazing, but there's just one thing that I wish could be better which is the shaping and name, maybe it's because I'm new to the app but if somebody can help me in how the labelling works since whenever I change the icon and add it to my homescreen it has no label on it and how am I supposed to change the shape of the icon for example if I want it to be a smaller size how do I change it? But I love it <3

Great app. Makes my samsung look like I have a custom launcher. Only one thing I would love to see added. If you could long press on the app and have a "edit" option so we could change the type of icon. This way we can make changes without having to redo the app/icon. Thanks.

I've set my icons 4 times and they're beautiful and perfect for a few hours, but then they revert back to the default icons for no reason. I didn't change the theme or anything, the app just doesn't work. Maybe update your app once in a while, bud

I used to only use this to install my own icons; there were very few apps at the time that would let you do that without installing a launcher, so this was awesome. But somewhere along the way, they added a little "Awesome Icons" logo / shortcut symbol in the bottom corner of every icon you set with the app. Idk about anyone else, but for me this totally defeats the obvious aesthetic purpose of giving my apps new icons. Went back to it recently, discovered this, uninstalled it almot immediately.

When customizing icons on my device both present and in the past, this used to be my go-to! Given my phone's current operating system (Android 10), the water mark will not disappear. When I do get the mark to disappear, I can not make little folders, even when I resize the icon!😭

This app doesn't work on drop down menu, can only change the icons in the home screen. Also, even for these 5 icons I can change, if I want to choose a different color for the same icon, I have to search the whole menu. There's no option to search the icons nor are they categorized. Just a never ending scroll.

Nice you can choose an app to change the picture with, but you can't like change the size of the icon! I would request the developers to please add this new feature! Overall is amazing 👏 to make icons. But little bit of change of my request will be more than amazing your app will go worldwide 🌐. Thank you!

This is the only icon editor app that I found to actually keep transparent backgrounds, yet the label or name of the app with the changed icon never seemed to appear anywhere near the icon. I will stop using the app for now till it is updated, then - if i don't face any problems - I will change it to 5 stars.

It worked wonderfully, but with the newest app & Android update, the widget option causes Home to stop. Without the qidget option, your logo is part of the icon. Why are all the Homes "unsupported"?!? Clearly doesn't work with Android 8.0

Overall, this is a good app. It certainly would be a 5 star app if there was an option to resize the icon once it is created. Also, it would be helpful to be able to create folders using various icon packs.

This app WOULD work, but I am having a small issue that I want fixed. When I create the app icon, it creates a duplicate of the app so I basically have the original app with the original icon and the same app but with my own icon. This is very frustrating because I just want my apps to look cute and aesthetic. Please please fix this issue

Works very nice but every icon is smaller than my original icons, might be because it said the app might not be modified for my tablet. If there's a way for the apps to be bigger or the same size as my original icons than I will install again :)

This use to be a fantastic app to add any style icon you want to your phone. Now as of update 8 for Android they have to have a small Awesome Icons icon in the corner of every icon ruining the exact reason I used it, which was to have a simple clean design for my home screen.
