Recently reinstalled. Notifications do not work like before. Verified a number of settings set appropriately and also tried ensuring app was active when turning screen off, nothing worked. A shame considering the app assisted me in the past with successful induction techniques(night notifications not included in the past & something I was interested to test). Simple, straight forward, good idea; although with no notifications it's fundamental purpose is rendered void.
Would just like a font size option. I have this app on one device and formatted text in a certain way, but when I loaded the app on a new device and synced my dreams, the font was WAY too big. Changing font size in device settings didn’t help at all and I don't want to reformat my text to fit the new device since I still use the old device more (though I'll have to for now). Still love the app! 😁
This app helped me become lucid for the very first time over two years ago, using the reality check on a daily basis and writing my dreams down every day in the journal. Be patient and it will happen and when it does it is a very powerful experience. Like anything in life it is all about consistency and repetition. The recent addition of ads is not a problem. Just keep looking at those hands 🙌 and counting those fingers.
Though it's a fairly okay app, for years I have been unable to export my 300+ dreams as text. That is so frustrating! I tried copy-pasting each dream but I soon got tired at how tedious it is. Since I lost hope of exporting my dreams, I stopped using the app and switched to an amazing iOS app called Capture. I contacted support years ago expressing my issue, but they did not really help. Therefore my one star rating to this app.
It's perfect, it provides you with almost all the necessary stuff to achieve lucid dreaming and it also lets you change their settings to your preference. The app could get way better if the devs added all the well known methods to achieve lucid dreaming. Then it would be literally the best, most complete lucid dreaming app.
It's an interesting tool. It's good training for reality checks and the Dream Journal is very useful. I haven't had many lucid dreams since downloading it, though. I still have trouble recognizing it's a dream. Plus, I'm not sure if I hear the token sound during the night. Unless it's not working, I must be sleeping through them... Also, whenever the sound to do a reality check goes off, it ALSO plays the sound that goes off whenever I have a notification for my phone. Nice app, though.
It seems like a really good app, and the dream journal is great - there is a sketch option too! However none of the notifications and reminders activate, and I can't seem to find a problem with my phone - and they are key to the experience. I've seen other reviews about the same thing, and I could really use a reply, so I can use the app to its fullest.
The app has a lot of good features. If you pay for the upgrade which is a very small amount you can even undownload and redownload the app months later and it never takes the upgrade away. I tried using the reminders and I wanted a lot of them especially at work where they are easy to miss but it didn't go off as often as I'd set it to even lounging around the house.
I love the idea of this app, so I paid for the full version after downloading in good faith. Quite simply it doesn't do what it says, doesn't send my dream journal notification in the morning, it has never played any totem sound despite me having tried setting various amounts up to 40 per day and 10 at night. I have adjusted all my notification settings and volume settings to ensure they're all enabled and still nothing. Wish I tested for a week before buying. Its a shame, but its useless.
Fantastic app, had multiple lucid dreams. However I once put it on pause, and when I took it off totem sounds no longer work. Whenever I select the sound, it seems to default to silent. It'll show my option, but when I go back to the menu it'll be back on silent. I've given it every permission and made sure notifications are also on. I'm stumped. 4 stars for previous performance, 5 stars if it starts working again.
Ive been looking for a way to be able to wake through the night without having to physically move and turn an alarm off. I found this and saw it had the totem sound feature. You can set the sound, the amount of times it goes off and also choose the hours between which the totem sounds happen. Exactly what I've been looking for. Hopefully this helps. If so then hold my beer while I get my money out for you. I'll easily pay for premium. Hope the developer continues to update in future. Thank you.
I've been using this for years and I don't plan to stop. This app is well-crafted, it's to the point, and it will assist you if you're looking to get lucid. It syncs your written/sketched dreams to a cloud service (FOR FREE!). You'll finally find out why you keep having that one stubborn recurring dream/nightmare. It's one of the best apps I've ever used. Thanks developer(s)!!
I started lucid dreaming after 11 days. It's not often, but stopped a few nightmares. Here are some things I did to make it work. I turned off battery optimization for the app in my settings. I don't use Do Not Disturb. Instead I downloaded Volume Butler and set up separate night and day profiles. At night, my notification volume is set to zero. My ring volume is set low but not off and my media volume is cranked all the way up. HTH.
Works great, very handy tool for lucid dreaming and recall. The only thing I'd change would be the persistence of the morning "record your dream" notification. I noticed that if I use it early in the night, it won't be there later in the morning and i have to open the app manually, which also won't use the dark theme, so i have a bright white screen in my eye. Minor issue overall though.
The one thing it's primarily supposed to do is play a totem sound at night to make you aware. Problem is it plays the same damn sound as your notification sound. So it always wakes you up thinking you have a text. And during the day, when its supposed to make you do a reality check, you think you got a text. I emailed the company about this problem and they never responded. And to top it off, there's no way to stop the notifications. You can only pause them, but they'll start up on they're own.
The overall layout of the app is nice, there's a large selection of different sounds you can use, its easy to navigate, and the ads aren't obnoxious at all. I'm giving it three stars because sadly I can't get it to actually work and I have no idea why, I made sure the app had permission for notifications and such, but it still does nothing. I use a galaxy s9 if that means anything. I'll check back in the future and try it again to see if it works after an update.
This app has been great, I've had no lucid dreams yet but in only a week or so I've gone from not remembering any dreams to remembering 1-2 per night already. I like the reality check reminders throughout the day and how customizable those reminders are. However, I can't get the reality check sounds that happen while sleeping to go off more than once. I tested them during the day (changed the time to the current hour so I could see if they were working). App had been great otherwise.
Seems to be working now...had major issues at first. Sent one notification and then nothing. Make sure your phone is set to wake up with notifications and has necessary permissions. One issue is I had to set my phone ringtone as the desired tone to get it to play that. Almost don't need it to send notifications during the day with all the emails and mesgs that now send the same sound. The night time "dream clue" feature is nice...works on media volume. Developer did not return email.
It's a pretty great app. I mainly just use it for the virtual dream journal, and in that regard it's fine. I paid a dollar and got the premium version so I could access the dream patterns, and so far it's been pretty helpful. I only wish there was some kind of folder system to organize the dream patterns, but that's just a small little nitpick.
It helps you keep a dream journal, and reminds you of reality checks through out the day, which is nice and all, but the feature where it is supposed to ring a totem alarm thing while you are sleeping to help you become lucid within the dream, simply does not function, as in, the alarm never goes off. Tested by setting the time frame for like 5 minutes and put alarms in that time frame, they never went off. No reason this should be case whatsoever
This app is great! I have been using the fact that it says "there is no spoon" when you say yes to exiting the hub as a reality check. If it saying that is a glitch, please don't fix it, I love it. Suggestion though, you should be able to hit arrows to go forward or back through your dreams once you click on one for easier reading, or just be able to swipe through them.
I really like this app. There's one feature missing that would make it perfect for me: During the night the notification sounds are played as media rather than notifications. This allows the app to work even though the phone is on silent. I would love a setting to do the same thing during the day. I have to have my phone on silent at work because all my notifications would annoy others but if I could only hear the Awoken sound it would really help me train my reality checks.
I installed this app for five days from now, and I'm not having any progress (as it should be, though). The problem is that the app, in my case when the earphones are unplugged, the notification sound stack up with an another, both from this app. I don't know if it's my phone or this app the problem, but I think that it may interfere with the purpose of the app, as it was created for the induction of a lucid dream by producing a commonly heard sound during the REM phase.
I read a few negative reviews about some of the features not working after purchasing the premium app and I have not run into these issues. I did have trouble with my reality check alerts. But I realized that a setting in my phone was actually blocking my alerts. when I modified my settings everything was fine. I highly recommend this app. it's not just a tool but comes with a community!
I give this app only 3 stars because for some reason the night totem sounds/realiy check triggers don't work for me. Doesn't matter if my phone is on mute or on full sound. I also checked several times before going to sleep if my media sound was the problem but it isn't. Otherwise it's good, the reminders are great, but this "bug" sort of renders one of the main features of the app useless. I'll trt reinstalling but I'll lose all my dreams so rip....
The journal is good, it's handy to have an app for this. But the sounds don't work. I think it's a bit unacceptable that people (including myself) are paying for this app, and despite the sounds not working being a known issue (see multiple other reviews) nothing is being done. It's clearly not been abandoned as a recent positive reviews received a reply. Any chance I could get a reply to explain when the sound issue will be resolved?
This is a good app that has some faults. My main problem is the reminders not going off on the day you set them, and if something happens like your phone restarting you have to wait another day for the reminders to work!! Also, there needs to be more settings, like being able to set a period time during the day where you won't get reminders.
This app has a lot of potential. I like the journal and dream patterns. The totem does not work. I wrote the developer and have not received a response for over two weeks. I paid to unlock all the features but it was not made clear the night feature was enabled for the free version. The speech-to-text feature on my phone works better than the app version. So be aware there has not been an update for years and customer service doesn't exist.
