AxCrypt

This app works great, is high quality, secure and easy to use. I highly recommend trying it first to see if you like it but the high level of security for your sensitive files and ease of use should convince you it is great. I would not keep any sensitive files in electronic storage anywhere without it. I can access files from my android phone with ease and it works seamlessly with all three of my laptops used for my own small business.

Having issues since last update. Unable to open encrypted files stored in Dropbox. Axcrypt says folder is "empty", but it's not.

I have been using Axcrypt for a few years now. I highly recoomend this app to those looking to secure important information by encryption. It does, however, take a bit of familiarization of the steps required to do so. Once learned, a great tool for securely encrypting and storing!

I have been using AxCrypt for over 2 years and have never had any problems using the software as directed. My files are safe while decrypting and encrypting are simple to do. And the few times that I have used their tech support, the response has always been quick and helpful.

Edit: Updated to 4 stars. I contacted support and the response was almost immediate. They forwarded me a link and I was able to confirm my email address. The app does indeed look to work on my Galaxy S9+. I love the desktop version. The mobile app does not work at all. Instead of one star, it gets two, since I did get the warning that the mobile app was designed for an older version of Android. I could stall the app but the verification email never arrived. I wish I could utilize this software.

Keeps crashing. Totally unusable. I have a premium subscription and app used to work, but not anymore. In addition, when it used to work its UI is very outdated and files have to be added one by one to be decrypted. There is no thumbnail preview of files, and interface is so slow. If you really care about the business you should update the app, but first make it work.

Desktop free version is great, and since I store all my encrypted files in OneDrive, I thought it would be handy to have this app in case I ever needed to open them when I am away from my PC. The website describes how you can only open and read encrypted files (but not create them) but it's does NOT tell you that you have to have a subscription for it to work at all. So this app was installed on my phone for just long enough to open it, learn about the subscription trick, and then uninstall it.

I have found AxCrypt to be a most exceptional security product.

I just downloded the app but can't sign up why? It keep displaying error message. " Can't connect to server please check your internet connection" And my internet connection is okay. I even tried a different phone and is same thing.

I have used this software for years with one issue early on, but the support team helped me get it solved with little problems. It is very easy to encrypt and un-encrypt when need be. I would highly recommend the app. Dean H.

I'm already subscribed, but when I log in it tells me I don't have a valid subscription plan. Also, the first and only time I got in, I entered my password for the first file and it opened fine. But when I opened a file that I know had a different password on it, it didn't ask me for that password but opened it anyway. Seems like a major security flaw!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Not only is the Software average at best. The encryption will likely only cause someone to hesitate to open the file for a minute. Also they are misleading with the premium service trial. They charged me a day early, and the cancelation button on their website didn't work. They then refused to refund my money based solely on this. I was finally able to cancel 2 days later and still would not refund any of my money.

Not owned by Facebook? Do you understand how the internet works? I suppose it's not owned by Amazon too or MS? Yes, open source encryption algorithms are open source, you keep saying it like it means anything. Implementation is where the weaknesses are. Your app is not peer reviewed, its also closed source. It also has network binding. So not safe. I wish you all the luck in the world, I'd never recommend your app to anyone. I recommend getting a good PR company on board before its all over.

Best file security option available

It works I guess but its fairly buggy. Files names are invisible, looks a bit outdated, no easy integration to Dropbox or any other cloud service. You can tell its more of a desktop app, shame because don't see a major point up of paying for a mobile app that's this buggy

i have used axcrypt on the desktop and it has been ok. this app cannot be used without a subscription. what is worse is that this app isn't capable of even encrypting. they want a premium for an app that does less than the desktop. there or plenty of alternatives. uninstalling

Used it for a few years but had some issues and went with another solution. Developer was very honest and refunded my renewal fee (which I had to pay to get my info out of lockdown). Very honest transaction and rare nowadays . Good job guys!

AxCrypt performs well, as advertised (Read The Fine Manual). The team plans to add encryption and landscape rotation to this moble app in the future. Meanwhile, this and the extra features in the desktop version are worth the small yearly expense for kryptonite encryption.

Does not work at all. The android version is supposed to let you view your encrypted files but whenever I try that, it says I need to upgrade my plan. It has a great desktop app but the android one needs some work

why register, is AxCrypt uploading the files and the encryption key to the cloud for decryption? if so, no one would want to take the risk of using this app. if anyone can confirm that, otherwise will have to setup a sniff Have loved the desktop version n using it for last 10+ yrs or since it was first released. guys, you have to make it completely native/local n free as it is using free n open source AES crypto behind the scene and continue to live the good earned name n respect of AxCrypt.

Can't remove files from axcrypt screen even if I remove manually in my files on my phone. Tried clearing app cache, the broom on the app screen does nothing. Using Galaxy S10.

No way to use offline. What if I need to decrypt without an internet connection on my mobile device? Please make a paid version of the app that doesn't require signing in just to decrypt. I will buy it.

I now have a safe place to store password and the files on my PC hard drive are also now secure. This a great program for the ?!

Supremely useful desktop and mobile software for encrypting files. My current favorite for just local.

Its new mobile encryption is really nice

scam... you need to pay for use the basic function! In computer you fan use too good but here in android you need to pay for use the same. Search another one in PC and Android... Don't waste your time here.

I haven't tried the mobile version yet but the Desktop version is great I've been using the pc version for many years and never had any issues Thanks to the Axcrypt team for this superb software

I wanted to use it without internet access, encrypt and decrypt files and folders

terrible compared to the stand alone app . After a while I could not use it unless I bought premium
