Axis 360

I really enjoy this app when it works. I love that I can check out books from my local library. My issue is the loading screens. Have had several pop ups with "not connected to the internet " when I was. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now I'm having an endless loading circle when trying to turn the page. If it weren't for these bugs, it would be a great app but it is very frustrating

I used to love this app. I am a daily listener of the audio books and it has increasingly become more frustrating. App often will stop playing at random times, especially if I try and have it play in the background while using another app. Also it doesn't automatically save my place any more. Sometimes it won't download a title, or all of a sudden it doesn't recognize my account and I can't açcess my checked out titles . I would love to change my review back to 5 stars.

Really great app. I love that your able to click on a word and the app will read you the word or the whole page. I do wish it had the option to read an entire chapter instead of a single page. Sometimes the loading time is a little long but I just exit out of the app and click back in, it works.

This app has so many issues. It pauses 30 seconds after I lock the screen unless I unlock it and then lock it a 2nd time. If I pause the audio book and switch apps and come right back it will go to a random part of the book and I have to find my place again. Haven't figured out a work around for that issue. Those are just the few that cause the most frustrations.

I love that I can use this app to access audiobooks and ebooks, but it has lots of issues. The worst is that it constantly loses my place. If I pause an audiobook and open another app and then come back to Axis360, there's a fair chance the book will jump to a completely random place either before or after where I paused. So I'm constantly adding bookmarks so I can find my place.

I use it for audio books. Only works correctly maybe 20% of the time. The other 80% it goes to an old spot when you bring up the app again (from turning your phone screen back on or if you use another app while the audio book is playing). Annoying but long as you use bookmarks it's tolerable. Now when i put a bookmark down it quickly says syncing and my new bookmark disappears. The app is pretty much useless unless you mark where you left off on a piece of paper..

I love the idea of this app but it doesn't work well. It used to allow me to save bookmarks but that is no longer the case so I have to try and remember where I had previously ended because whenever I continue, the app will automatically place me in some random spot near the beginning of the book. It's also frustrating that if I click on a book to read more details about it, but then return to the original list of books from that search, it always puts me back to the very first book of the list.

Absolutely wonderful. I love books. Axis allows me to multitask. Gardening, cooking, cleaning, running, taking care of chickens etc. Chores are no longer tedious. They are actually enjoyable especially with audio books. The app is easy to use, intuitive and user friendly. I am 70 yo

I hate this app. The worst library app. No indicator to let you know if a title is downloaded already. Extremely slow to open books and audiobooks even if they are downloaded, you just sit and wait 30 seconds to load. And downloads pause if you don't leave the screen on.

I used to feel this was a 5 star app, but it has stopped preforming as it should. The chapters are never correct, it doesn't always hold my place, checkouts disappear and now it stops playing when my screensaver comes on. It is worthless now. Also, this morning, it wants me to sign in again but won't let me. Back to the Libby App!

Edited again. 2022:: This app won't keep bookmarks and picks random spots to start the book back up. Please fix. 2021:: I had a problem when Android 9.0 came out. I let the dev know. Then these fine folks updated the app within a few days so that it worked perfectly again. Thank you for the quick response and great work.

This app is horrible for audiobooks. It always forgets where you last stopped listening and restarts the audio book from some unknown earlier stopping point or the beginning of the book. Very annoying. Bookmarks also say saved but don't show up in the bookmarks list.

The app works like it should 80% of the time. It communicates well between my devices and I can easily search for books to borrow. The frustrating thing is that it never remembers my spot and will start either ahead or behind where I left off. I've gotten around this by making a bookmark whenever I pause or am done listening. I've had it not remember my bookmark twice so I double check to make sure it's saved.

This is a good stable app with access to a good range of listening material. Update: I am now having the same issues as some below. The app doesn't continue where you left off. It now starts back at previous chapters. It is a real pain!

Bookmark don't work. After the phone screen has timed out, the app forgets what point you were listening to a book and goes back by minutes or more. This also happens when the book is paused- pressing play will start a a random previous place.

Axis360 went from bad to worse. Now, if someone has placed a hold on your title, you can not renew the title. I just checked out a book 12 days ago. It is a little over 1700 pages, and I am expected to read about 130 pages per day. I am an avid reader, but this is totally unrealistic. So, now, after not finishing the book, I have to place it on a hold and wait. Whoever thought this was a good idea should have their head examined. So stupid.

Gets the job done. Some minor quirks with formatting. i.e. being unable to zoom in on map pages in books and an issue where the page will cut in half if the phone is locked while the app is open - a minor inconenience solved by flipping the phone to landscape and back again.

Very frustrated since the update. I use the app for audio books and I will bookmark my place when I finish listening and when I reopen the app my place jumps back to an earlier save. I even tried Uninstalling and reinstalling the app but I have the same issues.

I enjoy the app and the convenience . However, I would also like to see more of the authors featured in Kindle Unlimited programming to be available for library checkout. All in all the app presents many books and hours of enjoyable reading.

Used to work great, now cuts out every minute unless the screeen is on. Bookmarks no longer save and the app has to be the last one on the phone before the screen is powered off or it won't work. Please fix!!
