I have had no problems so far. I like that you can see a running balance in your accounts. Our previous app did not have this. 11/6/19 - after the recent upgrade the app has become very clunky when scrolling through the account list. Also, the third line of each transaction is cut in half. Seems like we have traded smooth functionality for the dispute options which hopefully would rarely be needed.
One of the worst designs ever when they force to use full animations instead of 0.5x or no animations. Very bad design update: well the constraint that i can't have animations reduced in developer screen, are still in place. so there i go again. uninstalled the app. will refuse to use it until that constraint is removed. i can't believe that's a requirement to have full animations! mind boggling!!
Not bad, but a little buggy still. Security questions do not allow a space even though it is explicitly stated that they do. Also, get "woops our wires got crossed" error continuously after initial setup is successful and my account info shows in the app. Like the potential of customizing home page with graphs.
app is horribly slow and sluggish when it works. there is no checking it 24/7. every night at midnight thru 6am it goes up maintenance and you can't access the accounts. surely you all can find a better developer. my other banking apps run much more smoothly and you get advanced notice for system updates which is usually once a month. Also with mobile deposit there is a fee involved & it takes 5 bus days before the check deposits. This includes Federal Government checks too. Banker beware.
I have used Axos for a few years. Very easy to work with. People are great 👍. No complaints or issues. I would recommend.
They've made several useful improvements including going directly to main sections vs having to back out then drill down too often. Check photo actions are soon much more convenient now. Kudos!
Atrocious camera deposit software. Finicky, and it barks at you to use a dark background. Does not remember devices and text authentication takes several minutes. March 2021 update: New phone with the best camera on the market. Same issues if not worse for mobile check deposits. Prompts indicate I need a dark background, that is also well lit, but the check can't be too light in color. It will not read the routing number of a check if someone's signature happens to drop below the signature line. I guess I need a photo studio for a mobile deposit app, and need to provide instructions to those writing me a check. Tried to find an ATM to accept check deposits, but the ATM locator is inaccurate for indicating ATMs accepting check deposits. This is completely unsatisfactory for an online only bank.
So far it's been working really well. It seems like they had some issues in the past but the bugs seem to have been worked out. Sometimes a takes a bit to load the account info but besides that the user interface is clean and crsip. I like it.
Update your servers, this app loads SO SLOW. WiFi, 4gLTE, all runs slow and takes a long time to load your account, and get to transactions and goes even longer. It's data, not images. This day and age should not take over a min to load not matter what the device.
it prompts me for updates but doesn't let me do updates and it doesn't let me sign in. and when I do sign in it's very slow. because it wouldn't let me back in and keeps telling me to update. I attempted to uninstall and reinstall it and it's been 15 minutes and it still says pending installation. I'm really frustrated because they closed down the local ranch so I have no way to access my money, pay my bills or anything I am beyond frustrated
The app was okay, but the bank is terrible. Slow to respond and quick to close your account even after you call and talk to them. Closed account that I had for years in less than a month for a $30 over draft after they charged a late fee and told me that I would be okay to pay later.
Just spent over 45 minutes on the Evo chat trying to report a technical error in the app that is preventing me from transferring money, and the agent kept insisting it was something I did wrong. I have screenshots; I just want to talk to a developer and get this fixed.
App is pretty good and nice looking, but lags a bit. Tried to make a deposit, but it just loads and then stops loading. I don't get the confirmation page or an email confirming the deposit.
I didnt like this app at 1st so that's why i didnt write a review at 1st. But now that I'm getting use to it coming from the nationwide bank app, I think i like this app much better. I just think it functions better and is setup much better. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I'm still trying to get use to the account list, it's a bit difficult to understand how each item is listed and the app is a bit slow loading each page
They reeaaallly limit how much you can withdraw from savings. Looks to be about 15% of what i have in the account PER MONTH. If you're saving that money, you better hope you dont need it for an emergency because it'll either take a year to pull it all out or a bunch of fees to do a wire transfer. If you enjoy unnecessarily restricting your freedom, then Axos bank is for you.
5/9/19 - doesn't even let me get in my account. Los in and does not show I have any accounts. Since the last update on December 18, 2018: this app allows me to login just enough to see my balance then shuts down by itself. Very unhappy with the app and thinking of maybe closing the account if I'm unable to access on my mobile.
I am unable to login to the "Mobile APP" because it equires an access number. When I request by email/text, I go to retrieve it so I can enter it, the app closes, and it Ground Hogs Day all over again. Appears I will have to do the email request, and login to my desktop to obtain my "Mobile App" access number
This app is really easy to use and I've had a over all great experience with it.
Be very cautious with opening an account with this bank. They participate in very shady business practices including those that may prevent you from receiving interest that had accumulated in your account. I accumulated almost $300 in interest during June, but because of a small technicality buried within their terms of agreement, I didn't receive any of it.
SLOW SLOW SLOW! The response was after the first day when they fixed the performance...for like 2days. Now I can't get past the scrolling nothingness...not waiting months to be able to use a mobile app, looking for a new bank.
Terrible bank - avoid doing business with them. I received notice that my first CD is approaching maturity and I had to jump through hoops to get them to not auto-renew. For the second one they completely omitted sending me a notice and I got a very deceptive letter 11 days after maturity. I called and spoke with a very obnoxious rep who finally agreed to let me close the CD.
Horrible banking. App is limited and no customers service person to talk with over phone. Not even chat.. You have to send a message about an issue to them and wait for a reply back. Adding money? Nope..What a joke..Missed my Citi CC payment b/c of this bank. Its Axos now and no longer Nationwide..That's the reason
This app is super slow. I had to adjust my animation settings just for it to open and it just hangs there. Glad this is not my main bank.
This app & bank itself has multiple issues. 1st, a 5 day wait period for a check deposit is absurd. NW did NOT have that kind of wait period. 2nd, my direct deposit from the IRS was rejected, even though all the account information was correct. 3rd, I have been trying for 24 hours to make a mobile deposit, but everytime I take a pic of the check, it logs me out & i have to start the whole process over. I'm expecting a very sizeable direct deposit in 90 days, & frankly I don't trust Axos anymore.
This app is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! How can we deposit a check when there is always "Something went wrong on our end. Please try again," constantly popping up. I need to deposit my checks!
App keeps locking up within first minute of opening it. Update 8/24. Still not fixed Developer wants me to send email, which I've already done. They never respond
Not bad for a bank app. Pretty easy to use and understand. The nightly maintenance is still frustrating.
I wish the bank/app allowed for Zelle transfers but, shoot... that's really my only gripe. Update Apr 18th 2022 - With version 3.4.0 I've lost the ability to use biometric login. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. The error message says the server is not not ready though my fingerprint is recognized.
