It is more easier to use but for some of the people that are used to the previous version might not actually understand how to use it. The previous one is sort of more accessible to users than this one because the menu gives everything essential to get the specifications they want. The previous one also has a repeat option although this one doesn't.
The effort to upgrade the original version is commendable. However certain features that has been changed caused confusion to people have grown used to the 1st version. The new version need to be connected to data line all the time and painfully slow to download each ayat. The audio should be able to download for first and stored in the device for repeat replay.
I love I the 1st version of Ayat app, everything was easy to understand n all options, features were amazing, past 2 days it says internal error, I downloaded new version but couldn't find Tafsir in English, it displays blank screen, but other languages it shows up. Love the first app. Pls fix bugs in first app. Couldn't find tafsir here. Also screen goes off while reading. Whereas 1st app screen stays on unless finished or closed manually. This is very annoying.
This new app is not like the original ayat app. It's not easy to navigate and change surah or ayahs like it is in the original one. A lot of features are still missing. Also the original ayat app seems more attractive than this new one and I could choose how I want my Arabic text to look. It was easy to choose either plain text or the colour-coded Tajweed option.
This update is a complete load of rubbish. The original was fantastic easy to use and ergonomically designed. In reality this so called updated version is a backward development. They should go back to the original and make it work with new Android OS updates. How can you make this version 2 so bad from what was a beautiful original app. This version 2 is clear example of what NOT to do!
The first version of this app was the best, used it since 2014 then apparently the developets stopped maintaining it since almost 2018, but it was still usable, and in the last week it stopped working altogether. This second version is very inferior to the first one.
Can you please add the offline recitation option which was already present in the previous version ? I have used the previous version for years and it was perfect but now it just turned into a blank screen, and when it is not, the offline recitation stops after every Aya, and does not automatically start the next one.
I like the other version better. I think this version is a bit more complicated to use and the Al-Quran letters are not as clear the other version (the letters are a little bit blurry). What happened with the other version? I can't access it anymore. Only white screen came out every time I opened the app. Please fix it..
I use this version for the daily recitation, and I still use the original version for research purposes. The app saves your bookmark without saving, and the problem is if you do research you lose that bookmark., with 2 apps on the phone solves everything. also its from the same source which is greatly appreciated
The older version of this app were the best apps I have ever seen, and had no competitors. But recently it was stopped working and just appear white screen. Unfortunately it's so sad to lose such good app. This new version is useless and really disappointing.
I got used to of the previous ayat app. It was user-friendly and amazing. This one is missing the memorizing test feature which was my favourite and most helpful one. I couldn't find it anywhere else. Please update this app with that feature.
I have found the selections for the translation and the review (it's difficult to use at first), however the status bar has gone away and there is no way to bring it back. There are some bugs that need to be fixed so it's as easy to use as the 1st one. Allah reward you heavily for your efforts in bringing Quran to the people. . Ameen.
I really appreciate this effort but the 1st version is much much more convenience and useful.. The 2nd display is more blurr and unable to adjust the translation.. It distrupted. But the anti touch to avoid movement pages while reading is really helpful. Plz.. Plz.. Plz on back 1st version while u fix the 2nd one...
The previous veslrsion is the best. This version not very UX friendly. The repeat option not working well, it's no longer possible to repeat more verse. The reading is very slow.
Bad UI, difficult to use, and lacks features from the first version. I don't know why would they waste their effort on this instead of improving the first version, which I recommend. واجهة مستخدم سيئة وصعب الاستخدام. أنصح بالنسخة الأولى من التطبيق.
Totally unhappy with ayat 2. Previous version was much better. Even a person who isn't tech savvy can easily use. My parents who are old were able to use the previous version with ease however it cannot be accessed anymore, it's just a blank page. Ayat 2 is too complicated to use. Selecting ayahs to play and playing another surah have unnecessary steps. No download. Translation section takes up more space. Recitation of Awad al Juhanee still not rectified. Pls give us the old version asap :-(
Assalaamo Alaikum I have been using ayat1 app for a long time and was very happy with it. A few days ago it stopped working. I downloaded this app yesterday. It is no where as good as Ayat1. I can't find the option of choosing the surah and ayat to start my recitation. At the moment I have surah Araf open and I can't change to go to another Surah. It is not working well for me. Please restore the old app.
I have been using the first app since 2018 , but it failed to open on 11/6/2020, I had to uninstall and reinstall severally without success. When i install the Ayat 2, it worked but i couldn't download the recitations and English tafheem working.
I have used the Ayat app for years, but recently I've just had a blank screen coming up. This is a great alternative to use in the mean time, although it can be improved in many ways as well.
I have been using Ayat 1 best app ever but now it wont work. I saw Ayat 2 and thought it's updated but some features are missing ie repeating and memorizing, the repeat for range and delay time are missing. In sha Allah if this can be added that will be very helpful.
Natural this app is the update to the previous one, however it does not seem to download the English tafheem, and there is no option to have Arabic recitation and English translation, which was widely available in the previous version. This app needs some further updates to be as good as previous.
Is there any way you can restore Ayat1? I deleted his one as soon as I downloaded it. I was using the colored Musshaf. This version doesn't have that. Ayat 1 had so many options. The Tajweed Musshaf images stayed on my phone even after deleting Ayat1. I will use those meanwhile Ayat1 is restored. Ayat2 feels like a downgrade. Please focus on the first version, this one is lacking for more than it is adding.
Even this app the english tafheem does not work. Any reason why it is being neglected. Does not work on both Ayat Al Quran apps. Since it is already in the mobile site can't it be put back into the apps because it used to be in the 1st Ayat Al Quran app and then it got deleted.
I liked the older version of this app better, honestly. I tried to use the old version, but it said that it was made for an older version of android and it wouldn't work on my phone. I got the newer version, but it is too complicated. I cant figure out how to enable repeating and that's the main reason I got the app in the first place. Please try to make it easier to figure out how to enable repeating.
The 1st version was absolutely wonderful. The 2nd version hardly has any features such as selecting the surah or being able to bookmark. 🙁
In comparison to the first version this versions functions or lack of it is a huge fail. Why the omission of the Basmallah at the start of a new Surah when applicable? Also the audible translation has been removed. How sad. I once spent far too many minutes trying to find the main menu and I have been using tech fairly efficiently for decades. The one star is purely for the purpose, which really deserves 5 stars alone
Please developers, this version doesn't have the repeating option of several verses together, as repeating a page or two, like the previous version. It only provides the repetition of single ayah! This is not helpful in memorizing at all..Please fix this issue gazakom Allah khayran. The previous version was far better concerning this option, still the overall performance of this version is good, only the repetition thing is what it lacks, and is what we the users really used to benefit from.
