Latest news section starts off with article I read days ago. Covid update from 34 minutes ago gave info from last week. Getting real tired of spending $ on ap that forces me to read old news. Update- soo tired of being directed to latest news that is actually old news. I am now avoiding this site, that I paid for, and using other sources and certainly will not renew my subscription here

App has become very buggy. Screen flashes for at least a minute before the app opens. Lengthy delays opening stories. Hardly worth it.

Zero stars if I could. Since being updated this past week this app will not open on any of my devices. Since this corresponds with recent price hikes, will be canceling my subscription on Monday if not fixed..

I wanted to subscribe for 6 months for 99 cents as advertised, but after clicking on it, I was only offered 3 months for 99 cents

Recently, my login info is not saved by the app. I need to sign in every time I use the app. I have been a daily subscriber to the print edition for 7 years and to the electronic version for over 3 years. Further, when I reach the main ad in the center of the webpage, the stories will not advance farther. If these issues are due to recent advances in the app, please retreat.

Useless. I'm not ever going to pay for something that still shows ads. Either have a paywall, or ads. You aren't worth both. Inspect element to turn off the blur, costs an extra minute. But it's worth giving you the minimum amount of view time, interaction, and ad revenue.

Since the update I can't open the app. Reinstalling right now but if it doesn't work I'm cancelling my subscription. Ok I raised the stars to a 4 cause reinstalling worked. Need to have crossword puzzle to have own interactive page with hints. Ok keeps kicking me out of app and online

New subscriber that won't be renewing. The whole reason for subscribing is to avoid the paywall, but requiring me to login everytime I use the app (multiple times per day) renders it useless. It shouldn't log me out to begin with, but if it had biometric or pin, that would help. Now it repeatedly asks if I want to remain in dark mode. Yes, quit asking.

Just a bunch of meaningless bs at twice the contracted price

This used to be my favorite go to app for anything news related. That however has changed! They now require you to be a subscriber to view articles. Id rather be bombarded with ads with an option to opt out of adds through an in app purchase. Why pay for news when there are so many other news outlets who offer their stories for free.

This app has been a nightmare since my tablet received the Android 10 update. First off I have to manually kill the app and reload it after reading 3 articles or the app freezes and lock up the entire device. Secondly it now refuses to maintain my logim credentials, requiring me to reenter my user name and password every day to access the content I've paid to subscribe to. This is an EMBARRASSINGLY TERRIBLE offering, especially from a publication with the size and resources of Gannett. 👎🏼

Push notifications are annoying. What is nice is the app comes with a filter that only pushes out breaking news. Unfortunately the bar for breaking news is set pretty low. Needless to say I turned all push notifications off.

I've used azcentral for 18 years and never had to pay for anything and now recently they now demand you subscribe if you wish to keep reading. That's like having to pay to watch the 6 o' clock news, which has been free for decades and is still free to this day! (digital broadcasts).There are other news outlets that are free that do the job, if not better, than azcentral, anyway. I am uninstalling this unfree news app now.

A totally worthless app. Since I subscribe to their printed paper, I figured I'd use the app to stay abreast of breaking news. If you consider 48 to 150 hour old news to be current then this is the app for you. You are better off getting your news from someone more reliable. They got one star because it would not let me leave it blank.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Total scam artists. I signed up for a 3 month trial and that is where they get you. They want you to forget so they can charge you just under $10 a month and then tell you they can't refund anything under $10. Customer support via email and chat is useless and can't speak or understand English. I called in and was lied to and told that a refund would be processed and that he was cancelling service immediately only to find out through email that it's still on

I'm having the same experiences as reported by other people who subscribe. Doesn't keep me logged in, if I click on forgot password it let's me read everything, etc. I changed my password, didn't make a difference. Now Gannett is calling my home saying they need updated cc info. I'm sure not going through the hassle of calling. So be it if my subscription is canceled!

Many ads are formatted to look like legitimate news headlines, which is quite unprofessional and unbecoming. The incessant drumbeat of radical leftist thinking in almost all their reporting and opinion pieces makes finding decent local news in this paper painful for all but the most liberal readers. As a paying subscriber, I expect to also see moderate and conservative points of view in your opinion section, neither of which has been happening for a long while.

This app is supposed to be a news site but contains only items that have been rehashed or run repeatedly. I is rarely updated and always lags behind other news apps in the Phoenix metro area.

When it comes to managing our account, this app is equal to the phone management system and the underlying database. It works, but not well in an automated-only mode. It is another example of over-hyped artificial intelligence and the bounties computers-only service bring to our planet.

I'm signed in and app asks me to subscribe when I go to a story. Also, why doesn't the app open when I click on an email article in my daily updates. And, where is fingerprint signon feature. One of few apps without it

Frustrating. Never works properly. I sign in and it signs me out without getting to the e-edition. It takes forever and sometimes, like today. No paper delivered and can't get the e-edition. I've been a customer for over 20 years.

Constantly have issues of one kind or another. Makes me log in every time with no option to remember password. Loading often takes forever, etc.

It's really not a good app. Always keeps signing me out of my account and doesn't have the best user experience generally (like why do I still see ads when I'm a subscriber?). It's usable when I'm signed in, but otherwise, fix your app Gannett.

I am not happy with the new update. I can't get into comics and other apps. My old phone I could go backwards and get other newspapers.

I have a digital subscription for the Az republic and can't access it anymore via this app or the one that worked for print edition just a week ago,.
