Contrary to what the consensus seems to be, I think this dash cam is great and the app is better than most people think (Galaxy s8). Only issue, is that the app will let you Download a video, but once downloaded, it is not saved on your phone so you are unable to send it to others or save it onto your phone. You can't even rotate the video horizontally to make it bigger. Only way to actually save it or send it is on PC. I hope this issue is resolved soon as this dash cam really is great

Like others have found, the app won't connect to the camera (this is on a Pixel 3a). It was connecting yesterday, seems that it no longer connects since I swapped the SD Card. As such the app is useless. The app also has a significant bug, even when I could connect, in that the download function within the app does not work. You can go so far as selecting the video(s) to download, however the Download button is unresponsive. Fortunately you can extract the video via the SD Card, or connecting the camera to a computer or phone via USB.

The app isn't plug and play. I had to spend lot of time understanding firmware download transfer to camera.i have 1+6 and the camera did not work untill data is turned off. Now I am facing new issue the WiFi signal is interesting with my radio music. Static. Please advise how to over come these problems. Is there an option to switch to app mode and have the data disconnected till we can work out video file on app. Later app once shut data start again.

As other reviewers have noted, the 1.8.5 version of this app just doesn't work on LG smartphones (I have a V30+). If you go to their website and download the older version they have (1.8.2) it works just fine, but as I was sleeping, the older app updated so it was 1.8.5, so now I have to go back and download the older version all over again and turn off auto update for all of my apps! This issue needs to be fixed!

I've had a very good experience with this , just know how to use it, to constantly have the camera record , you must hold the button on the camera until it starts flashing red ,if it's flashing green ( it will disconnect with time ) that how it records when wireless fetuses are disconnected, only one star less ,is you cant select multiple videos to download, you must download individually which is very time consuming and frustrating

Excellent camera. When the app works it can be really good. BUT it causes my phone to freeze and it is very difficult and time consuming to restart it. I can recommend the camera but the software app is absolutely dreadful and completely lets down a really good product.

They need storage permission for some reason-- even though the data isn't stored on your phone. You cannot edit or delete footage while connected to your phone. Your phone also needs to connect to the DASH CAMERAS WIFI. I'm not kidding. You cannot access the internet while using this dashcam. It disables you from using it even just to bypass the fact that it doesn't output internet.

The app is some what OK. it takes approximately 1 min to connect and also for disconnect. Another app MDEZIRES will not take this much time to connect and disconnect. Also there should be a mirror option like flipping the video horizontally, as it will enable us to use this Cam in rear wind screen also. Presently if use as rear camera and phone as screen, then LHS of Camera will appear at RHS of mobile screen. It is highly confusing. Hoping the developer may include mirror option in next update.

Very impressive customer support.. i had issues, reached out and received a prompt reply. i had to install a different version (1.1.3) and now everything is working perfectly. Slow download but i can finally use my pixel 2xl. Now we need to have the app updated officially so i can do auto update. As of today i can't or my app will go to 1.8.3 and that version is not compatible with my phone. Thank you.

App ver 1.8.7 doesn't work with a Galaxy A51. Won't detect the dashcam. Finds my router but nothing else. Tried disabling my Mobile Data as suggested but still didn't work. Video quality isn't as good as advertised but still okay for me. I'd like to shut the audio up, ie: "SD card detected" but can't until I get the app to work. Records okay but is a bit quiet.

LG G6. App keeps crashing without being able to connect to camera. Version 1.8.5. The previous version (1.8.4) worked just fine. PLEASE FIX. Update 8/27/19: the app keeps getting updated to 1.8.5 even though I disabled auto update. Getting sick of having to delete it and manually reinstall 1.8.4 over and over. Update 12/26/2019: version 1.8.6 is also useless, keeps crashing.

App is completely useless. I have managed to connect to the camera once in over 100 attempts. I have restarted phone, restarted app, reinstalled the app, almost everything short of hard resetting my phone and still nothing. Camera is great but the app is pointless.

The app is good and the interface is intuitive. The cam itself is really good. I have installed one as my dash cam. But the reason why I'm taking away 2 stars is because, like someone already commented here, it would've been very useful if there was a 'Mirror View' option in the app, so that the cam can be used as a rear cam as well (I could've bought a 2nd one for that). Add that option and I would happily give 5 stars.

App works surprisingly well! It takes awhile to download the videos and pictures from the cam and you have to disconnect from mobile data to be able to connect to the camera through the app, but it streams video clearly and I love that the camera can be stealth without a screen.

App is used for dash cam that I bought from Amazon. The app allows you to view files saved on the device and change settings. Sometimes connection to device using WiFi can be difficult to connect/have issues.

**To everyone having issues connecting to the dashcam via the app, try turning off your mobile data along with connecting to the dashcam wifi** I was unable to connect myself until I found this. Hope this helps. App is basic, but works fine on Samsung S7 Edge.

For some reason, the app has stopped working and refuses to connect to my phone. I can use an sd card to get my files but the date and time on my dashcam must be wrong and since the app doesn't work, I have no way of updating it.

Excellent on Nokia 8.1 Remember to disable network data connection, otherwise cam will fail to connect. I believe it is not much of a hassle to disable network data while changing settings or copying videos through wi-fi.

Can't choose video for download. Poor app many bugs I hope they would fix it as soon as possible! You should consider browser based menu at least give an option to those that app doesn't work on their phone.

I tried this app with my newly purchased B1w dash cam. It crashed immediately when trying to connect with the cam. Only later did I discovered there is nothing wrong with the app. The B1w dash cam has an inbuilt "sort of network router" that your mobile phone has to logon first before accessing the cam function. Just go to setting and switch wifi network to the cam wifi.

Trying to use a newly purchased b1w dashcam. Unable to use the app. It does not show the webcam which is connected to the car using the supplied power cord and the app crashes within 2 seconds of opening. My phone is a LG V30+.

Is imposible to download recorded files, the list is always empty. In pc is the only way to see what's recorded. Sometimes needs restart the camera to reconect to wifi. Need to fix this
