When it works, it's great. Unfortunately, it crashes repeatedly. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the app several times, and then I lose the ability to see each session, which really isn't much help when I want to analyze my play. But when it actually works and uploads each session, I love it. I just wish it wasn't so buggy that I keep losing data.
1. Each session I hit 2 baskets of volleys with coach. comes back as 17 volleys on the app. should be over 200. 2. Have to keep reinstalling app as it frequently doesn't open. 3. Doesn't allow you to see data over time for any part of your game. Maybe 2 stars is fairer. just contacted support as suggested. Sadly I got the most moronic response. The question of the volleys was completely ignored! Still no improvement.
when it works, I love it. But it constantly stops working. Couldn't use it today as it wouldn't load. And not for the 1st time Have already u installed and reinstalled, which worked for a grand total of one session. And apparently it was updated today. Automatically. When I only allow updates manually.
I really luv the Babolat POP sensor system!! From the outside in tennis seems to be a physical game but there is so much more... Opponents are almost always playing mind games or their ego's won't allow the truth if it encroaches on their own stats in any way... and omg! not to mention the back and forth regarding serve speeds! The sensor removes all the BS and bravado!!! The POP sensor provides RAW DATA and has no issues when your first serve average is 30mph higher than your opponents!!
Good app where you can check your stats like serve speed, forehand & backhand racquet speed, topspin and no of shots hit categorized in forehands, backhands, volley, smash and serves. It measures your play level as well in terms of PIQ score and provides you activity score also based in that. It provides ranking based on aggregation of activity score on monthly basis. But sometimes, activity score does not get updated per session basis. Would be great if Badolat Pop Team can look into this issue. Cheers!
Amazing app to show the stats from your Babolat Pop Hand Band. I can see detailed session data like shots,number of shots,racketspeed,topspin and also some progress rating. Also there is a local and global rating. This is really motivating.
Pre lockdown this was working well but now I can pair but not connect (in app band colour doesn't change to blue) so cannot register hits. Good fun when it works. 3/4/21 Update Reinstalled the app. Now no longer able to log in! Help please. Support emailed. Poor. 15/4 No contact from support App seems to be off the store Oh dear. Wasted kit now.
Good app, does what expected, but would be great to have access to more statistics, I.e. to be able to see forehand or backhand progression over a user selected period of time, or be able to visualize all the shots for a session, etc.
I used to play in club on NTRP 5.0 level. I'm using Babolat POP third year now and found it very useful to hone topspin and serve. PIQ Robot provides useful statistics with timeline when and how hard best shots were hit. Device is thin and small, hardly noticeable during play, hermetically sealed, no sweat got in so far :). I'm using the app for Android. Warning: latest update put my phone into a power saving mode which broke communication with PIQ Robot, it was resolved by support in 1 day!
It used to work very well, but since May 11, 2020 the app won't upload my session to the PIQ servers. There is no error on my end or my phone. I contacted Support and learned they are clueless --they offer ridiculous solutions that indicate incompetence. Well, time to find another RELIABLE tennis tracker because PIQ is now garbage.
App gives real time updates on the playing style quite accurately. It helps in your game analysis and helps to find out improvement areas. Together with Sensor, it is a must have App for all passionate tennis players.
Very disappointing. No analysis of individual shots possible. No spin rate for serves. Had a head racquet with the zepper sensor which had all of it. Missing it badly but changed to a Wilson which I love.
Had this for a year, loved it. But recently I have been having server connection issues. I decided to try to uninstall the app and reinstall, and not it won't even let me sign in! Someone please help!
Developers. Please fix the app. I spend money on the hardware I expect software to work since it's absolutely necessary. App is not sending me the text message to verify. Tried multiple numbers.
I had this bought as a Christmas present last year. It has never connected with my POP and at the moment it won't even send a verification code. After sending a few messages to the customer service I got no response after the initial contact. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
App stop verifying session. Now I cannot log back in. I type my phone number no sms is sent. Notice when I search for this app on play store the babolat vs app only shows up. Did this software get discontinued????
unable to complete the profile creation process: does not allow entering birth date (which must be mandatory field but does not say: weak UI!) plus some other fields do not have a title, and do not allow data entry... (sony xperia z5 dual, march 7 2019 babolat app version)
It stopped working. The Las 2 weeks I wasn't able to tag my activities and didn't didn't get any I sights on them. Today I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it and now I do not get the sms verification code... Please help!
They seemed to have turned off the server so it does not process your sessions anymore. I've had this for many years ... too bad. I'll have to shop for an alternative.
It's barely working, sessions are being lost - previously it happens quite rare, but now all the time. Very sorry for that, it used to be fun, but today it's not fun at all.
OK but doesn't give trending data/info. Could be better if the software used the data in a more transparent way.
Great app and sensor combo, it's more like a tennis fitness session tracker rather than so thing you would use for tennis analysis.
good stats into the gameplay. a lot could be drawn from such data points. good hardware and good app.
Be good to have league/ranking in the app based on PIQ score. Ranking just based on how often people play seems a bit odd given people's lifestyles are different (work etc).
Oh dear. I have had this app for two years and it was ok. Since 1 April 2021, it has completely failed to processed the synchronised sessions. I mean, completely. Failure messages from the Update function, but absolutely nothing from the data processing function. I have contacted support but not had a reply. So disappointing, this was very expensive and is now broken. A lot of people are reviewing with the same experience so I think we must conclude it is down to the app.
