Baby Heartbeat Listener

Baby heartbeat listener allows pregnant women and dads to listen to, record and share their unborn baby's heartbeat through the abdomen. This application has a fun and non-medical purpose. It requires headphones and works like a stethoscope filtering and amplifying the sound from the microphone before the rebroadcast of the headphones. This application does not work with headset.
To use it, turn on the application, plug in the headphones, launch listening and as if it were a stethoscope, affix the microphone of the device on the abdomen of pregnant mother. You can record at any time what you hear and then play it again or share it on social networks.CAUTION In order to do not expose the baby to wave from the phone (or tablet), it is important to put the device in airplane mode before you put it on your abdomen.

The quality of listening depends on: -The presumed date of birth. Baby's heartbeat start to be audible after approximately 30 weeks of gestation. -The position of your baby. It is necessary to place the microphone in the back of the baby. In some positions, it is impossible to hear his heart. He just need to wait until your baby position has changed to be able to hear his heart again. -The quality of the microphone equipping your smartphone (or tablet). Following models and brands, the sound quality can range from a clear and audible beat to no beat sound at all. -Your headphones quality. Some devices badly restore low sounds like your baby's heart beat and can make listening impossible.

We advise you first time to exercise you with listening your own heart. If the sound is clear and audible, you are likely to hear your baby heart beat.

To maximize chances to hear your baby's heart, it is necessary to use the application in a totally silent room.

For better sound quality, the application also provides user the ability to tune sound filter through parameters. This will allow you to adjust settings to your specific device characteristics.

CAUTION: This application do not replace a real medical device and should no be use for medical purposes. This application provides no indication or information on the health of your baby.

Functions:-Listen to the heart of your unborn baby and record it-Play and replay your recordings as much as you want-Share your best recordings as video (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

I see a lot of bad reviews for this app and I don't think that's fair. First of all, it will only work with headphones that do not have a mic, and the room has to be quiet. But, it most definitely does work. I had to adjust the settings and make sure the ceiling fan was off, but it works. Started trying it at like 22 weeks, and nothing, but this week, at 25 weeks, I finally found baby's heart beat and can almost always find it now.

I havent tried this app yet, but people are saying 20 weeks gestation is too early to hear a heartbeat. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I heard her heartbeat at 8 weeks, and am currently 13 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and heard the heartbeat on an ultrasound at 9 weeks. Also, to the midwife, I see an OB/GYN, midwives aren't the only medical professionals with prenatal knowledge.

I'm having problems finding my own hb but its probably because my head set is right next to the mic in order to plug it in. Its also hard finding a quiet place due to living on a busy street. Id probably have better luck going to the bathroom and keep off the lights because that picks up big time. I found this app tho cause I heard They work and am worried I might be misscarrying again seeing I have had complications before in my first trimester and still waiting to see a doc which cant happen until I'm 12 weeks and that makes it scary not seeing anyone or anything sense the day of finding out at 5 weeks.

when the "heartbeat" keeps beating long after you pull it away from your stomach....kind of hard to believe that my baby's heartbeat. Even tested on my own heart, same thing happened. I tried multiple headphones. Sorry but I don't feel like this app is accurate.

Doesn't deserve even one star. Was apparently picking up a heartbeat when nowhere near my bump, but couldn't pick up the noise of my fingers clicking next to it. The makers of this app should be ashamed of themselves. Can easily result is some mothers having false hope and not getting medical attention when needed. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS APP.

Works on my Samsung Galaxy 9 to a degree ie. Can pick up my own heart beat and my 18 month daughters nothing from my wifes 18 week foetus after half hour trying. unfortunately the main reason for this app doesn't work. My wifes cheaper android phone a Stk gets nothing at all. Personally a disappointment. I'm leaving it for now in the hope that in later weeks it might actually work!

If I could give it no stars, I would. Adjusted all the settings and this couldn't even pick up my heartbeat. But apparently my bed has a heartbeat? Don't waste your time on this app.

I think it depends on the type of phone you have, but this app is pretty good. I can find the babys heartbeat about 50% of the time, which is more than I expected from a phone microphobe.

Easy to use. Only problem is headphone jack is now next to mic on most phones instead of being on opposite sides.
