BabyCam - Baby Monitor Camera
To use the full functionality of BabyCam will need two phones with this application installed. The first mobile phone should be located close to the baby and will be responsible for record video.
Parents will have the second mobile and will can see live what the other mobile phone is recording. You will also have the ability to turn on / off camera flash remotely, ideal in dark situations and activate a notification system, whereby the mobile notify you if it detects your baby begins to cry.
Both mobile phones will connect them automatically and transparently to the user.
Additionally you can view the video via the web browser from your PC or other mobile device (notifications and audio not available).
Be advised to have plugged in the phone that will be responsible for recording the baby, because the application requires many resources and battery could be spent in a few hours. The application will continue running the screen is off, but will stop working if closed, as it can not be kept open in the background due to Android limitations of camera-related.

If I could give more stars, I would. For a free version of an app, it has AMAZING controls and display options, minimal ads, and coming from a Cybersecurity background, a safe way to watch your baby without some guy in India also tuning in.. which is something even the expensive apps like Ring can't get right. Ive already recommended it to family and friends, but it's the only app I trust to my newborn ❤️👍
Really good and fair enough to use for free with some ads, which are not intrusive at all. Well done. Might pay for premium just to help out as I don't think I'll use it often since it is for our new puppy. But as a token of appreciation, I will buy it. Hope others enjoy it. One feature which might be really useful, is for the app to be able to use the wide angle lenses of phones. That way, I could see the whole room easily. Something which is useful if the app is used the way I am (puppies).
Great app - doing exactly what is needed. All only in the local LAN, no data sent to any cloud storage. Plus possibly of a direct wifi makes it really useful tool Thank you!
Zoom is fine, but I cannot move/pan the zoomed area. No option for full screen. Casting to Chrome cast is not full screen either. Stream got frozen and there was no warning (I just noticed the clock was stopped too), so it looked like the baby is still sleeping!
The best!!! Even the free version is excellent but ended up buying because of how good it works. The Chromecast option really does it for us.
Only thing I would change on this app would be to not have any ads that flash. I catch it out of the corner of my eye and I always initially thing it's the lil one moving.
Just one flaw with me..all else nice....i cant have the mic and speakers turned on at the same time....its either one of them because if both are turned on...its gets staticky
Mostly great app. Super easy to use most of time, WiFi direct really helps with no network nearby.

I downloaded this to try it out to keep an eye on my bunnies. Even on the floor. It is difficult to see them. Struggling with the positioning of the camera. The speaker is good and their ears perk up so I know they are listening 😃. I tried a tablet stand and this was even worse. As It was showing the ceiling. Having trouble taking pictures, it's too slow... by the time its finished. They have moved on... unless I can figure out the position. I can't see what I would gain from premium.
Very simple to set up and use. The developer did a nice job of making this user friendly for non-technical people. He promptly replied to my previous review. Really impressed with the dev, and with the app. Unfortunately, iOS or Safari (on Mac) cannot get audio from this cam app (not the app's fault). Perhaps a "audio level meter" bar-graph would be useful in such situation? Would be nice if the client side had a more noticeable "loss of signal" feature and alert -- that would be helpful... Overall, a great product.
This app is a lifesaver & has given me peace of mind. I can speak to her &let her know I'm coming, I can set volume alerts & get a notification the moment a sound is made, I can take pics or record her, but the best part is the safety of it. You have to be on the same wifi network to see it. The chromecast capability is amazing! Being able to see her on the tv while I clean or just relax is so convenient. & I'm able to watch her on my phone while running other apps. GET PREMIUM! ITS WORTH IT!!
We had a sudden change of circumstance that required us having to close the doors to both my daughter's room and our room for the night, so we installed the app. During testing earlier tonight it worked fine. When actually needing it for the night it seems my daughter's breathing was too quiet for the app to pick it up and this caused continuous errors and disconnecting audio. The one thing we needed the app to do was transmit audio so we could hear if she woke up and started crying.
If there was a way for both apps to automatically use the latest settings from previous run it would take the UX to a whole new level. For instance if I use two devices one for parent and one for baby in wifi direct mode, then the next time I started the apps they would have the right configuration already. On the surface this may look like a few harmless clicks but believe me adding this feature would make a great difference.
Been using it since the arrival of our daughter 6 weeks ago and it's pretty good. I just wish we didn't have to always hit 'Parents' and the 'Automatic Connection' every time we turn on the app, which is several times a day - not a big deal but one click operation would be great. The night vision and zoom features are very useful. Good app overall.
Great app. The only setback is that it stoppes when running in background...when using other apps. Would be great if one could use the phone as if nothing even when using the app. Otherwise great. The sound is better than walkie-talkie. I even can hear the breathing of my child! I surely recommend
