My son really loves baby first, but the app is terrible. I pay for a monthly subscription and am not able to cast Live TV. Every time I click to cast, the app goes back to the previous screen. Not only that, but the feature that is supposed to let you pay shows continuously does not work. The app's functionality is just bad. Please fix this.
Not a very good one the app drops when I try any of the free ones to try them so I haven't had a chance to try it. Was super excited because we watch daily so I thought the app would be a great learning tool. I couldn't get the message app has failed? Send feedback or close. So I never get in before it before it close. Not sure what the problem is. I was able to get into 123 but that it.
Works great on mobile but not on tablet. I just purchased the month to month subscription and I'm really disappointed in the tablet version. I cannot get the app to work at all on the tablet. The screen is completely chopped up and I can't even get logged into my account because the app is only in the horizontal view and not switchable to vertical. The app crashes ALL the time and I downloaded the videos and I can't even get them to play. super disappointed
It is hard to explain but really I would give it a 2 and a half. But one problem is when I would try to get a show up for my baby brother it wouldn't let me pause it or x out of it, and it didn't give me a lot of shows I could get without having to pay monthly. If you have a baby or toddler living in your house, then I recommend downloading the app baby games, there's no adds and it's just a great app. But I do really like the shows they put up for toddlers like the crayon show, but not the app.
Would give Zero stars if that were an option. Have contacted support directly on the app have received Zero assistance. Free trial worked beautifully. Paid for monthly subscription and app immediately quit working. When you tap on color crew for example all the videos are locked. Made several attempts to "sign up" keep receiving a huge red exclamation point saying my email address is not valid. Absolutely ridiculous! This app has been installed from Google Play store on a Samsung tablet
I discovered this app because my son was watching the channel at grandma's and it kept his attention fairly well. So I pulled the trigger and subscribed to unlock everything and be able to use it on all of my devices (except for the Fire Tablet - however, it works with the Fire TV Stick.. weird). My only other gripe is the overall UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) needs a serious overhaul. Navigation is ok and a lot of shows don't even have all of the episodes.. which is weird. I do sometimes get kicked out and have to re-log in which can become very annoying. But the show content themselves are great, they have catchy tunes, cute characters and keeps my sons attention. He loves Googoo & Gaagaa and Squeak! the most.
After trying out the free version of this app I decided to purchase the annual subscription. Having the app comes in handy as I've cut the cord with cable and still wanted my kids to be able to watch their favorite BabyFirst TV shows. I did, however, experience an issue with the app not recognizing me as a current subscriber. I contacted the BabyFirst support team and they promptly responded and resolved the issue. I highly recommend this app!
This app is garbage. We set up the free trial and planned to do the yearly subscription, but can't access any content. The app just goes in circles telling us to restore subscription, then asks us to pick a plan when I can see from my email that I have one. We're getting rid of our cable and had planned to use this for my 20 month old and 9 month old and now we can't.
Downloaded to my little ones tablet. Takes forever to load. When I finally got it to start to work, I try to sign up & pay. Tells me it's done, but then doesn't show on the app. Go to the button to sign up for the free week, & it never loads back. I've uninstalled & reinstalled & restarted tablet several times. Guess I'll make sure I'm not subscribed to it & just uninstall again & leave it off. Such a waste of time. And I'm disappointed because she loves watching the Baby First shows.
We watched every show on the app within the week trial. I've had it about 3 months now and let me tell you it is REALLY annoying to have to stop whatever I'm doing and select another show for her every 2-3 minutes. For some reason it will not keep playing them even though I'm playing them from my favorites screen onto a Google cast. However the shows are entertaining if a bit repetitive but I guess that's just how kid shows are. Google play also tried to charge me twice for the month of June.
Since the app was updated to the new platform, I have not been able to use it and don't even bother to try anymore. It keeps kicking me out as a subscriber and every time I try to re-subscribe by tapping the "Restore Your Purchase" banner, but then it never allows me to go pass the next screen. I've already been in touch with the company about this issue back in March and it was resolved and worked for maybe a month and then it was back to the same issue. I use both an iPad and Android smart phone and have the same problem on both. I do not recommend this app, it has been a HUGE waste of money.
I love baby first on tv but this app is a JOKE. I've been getting charged for a year after there was NO WAY to cancel my subscription after getting the run around, and now that I figured I may as well use this thing I've been wasting money on it says I'm not subscribed and I get an error when I try to restore my subscription. Emailed support and they sent some typical BS instructions that led me to the exact same place I was, the error message. USELESS!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE: not sure if it was a phone or app update or what, but works now and my kid loves it. Can't even get in. Trying to log in and buy the membership, and it just loops to the log in screen. Occasionally closes the app saying there is a bug. No $÷!+ Sherlock. Uninstalled, reinstalled multiple times, to no avail. Galaxy S21 up to date with no other issues
To start off, the content is great. But how the app operates is what gives it a low score. The interactive games are good, but for my children they are 2 years old and can swipe up from the bottom of the screen and go to the home screen, bypassing their "child lock" function. Next, I cast video from my phone and the ability to queue up videos or autoplay doesn't exist. So I have to babysit the app to manually choose the new video. The live tv doesn't work when casting either.
I purchased this app for my daughter. February a 2019 it is never works correctly. Every time we get on it only allows us to watch the free videos says that we don't have a subscription and that we need a new one. We have a subscription. In fact, I was just charged again for a subscription that I cannot use when I tried to cancel it. It says it won't cancel till next year. I'm very disappointed with baby first and with Google Play.
I would give the app 5 stars, but it hasn't been working properly for quite a while now. We have saved several shows to favorites, but it won't load them unless you find them in the list (which defeats the purpose of the favorites tab) The favorites tab is the only way to play more than one episode at a time and it doesn't even work. Please fix this issue and I will change my review. Other than that, thank you for the awesome app.
Terrible. Same issues as others below. App freezes and I can't do anything on it. I can't even figure out if I am subscribed to anything because it freezes instantly and doesn't let me navigate the app. What in the world.
Once a very great app. Super glitchy takes forever to load. The games aren't working just a black screen and most of what they make you pay for is free on roku or the PC website.
I love this app. But, when casting it to the tv the play all/shuffle features do not work. It would be very helpful if it did. My daughter loves to watch her shows with this app, but only being able to play them continuously on the phone, and not the tv is a bit of a struggle.
I give this app 2 stars. The reason is because the shows work great when you play them one at a time but when you favorite them and press the play all the first show works fine but then it starts skipping or starts shows in the middle or end. I wish I could of tested this before doing the yearly subscription. My internet is not the problem we have very great internet service. I'm very disappointed on the way this app works if this problem persist I'm going to cancel and uninstall.
I honestly love the app. I gave it 4 stars because it does freeze from time to time but if i turn the screen off and on again it continues to work fine. i have been using this app for years. I've watched the channel with my infant (now 6yo) and she learned so much that as soon as i found this app iv'e had it on every phone since. now my 2nd daughter (now 3yo) uses it every day and loves doing puzzles and tracing letters, etc. It could improve but it truly is a great learning app.
Wish I read the reviews , this app does not work well on the phone or tablet, I just purchased the yearly subscription for my baby girl and it does not work accordingly, the app is not functional. If you want to go back and select another video, you can't you have to close the app completely out then return just to go back on a previous page. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing, silly me. I was better off just watching them for free on YouTube.
I feel like this app could be amazing but whenever I try clicking on anything it freezes. I can't even subscribe monthly payments for more games. It just keeps crashing
the app is glitchy & always popping up asking to buy a subscription. I thought about but with the glitches & I already have it on cable tv so why pay for it again. I keep seeing baby first say they have subscriptions "to provide high quality & new content to subscribers." Unfortunately baby first is far behind the other apps. There are plenty of apps my child can learn more, cheaper/uses my cable & has more content and educational games. I love your channel and wish this was a top choice for us.
You may technical support once you purchase it, or to clear the app data after your purchase. A side from some initial problems the technical support cleared up, the app is pretty good. My kid loves some of the show and it's worth the subscription fees for no commercials.
It could work for you. However for me it was terribly annoying to deal with. The first issue was not their fault but my card declining But then since I had already purchased it I had to restore the app. Granted Baby First customer service tried to help but with one of their emails was very passive-aggressive. I could not restore the app even though on Baby First's end & the actual app said I purchased. Even after clearing the catch, uninstalling etc. Its uninstalled now. Canceled subscription.
This app looks like it would be a really good tool! We watch the baby 1st shows on YouTube so we downloaded the app. I'd be more than willing to pay the subscription for all the content but it seems like the app can't run any of the games! anytime I click on any of them it's just a black screen. I've tried multiple different games and different times, on and off wifi, restarted app and phone multiple times.. what's going on? If you can fix this, I'll update my review AND pay subscription!
