Back Wars

When an army travels back in time to rule the world 1,000 years in advance, they get more than they bargained for from their primitive counterparts! Lead the resistance with hundreds of warriors from different cultures all over the world. Focus on one individual or step back to command an entire army at your fingertips. Combining world-dominating strategy with fully interactive battles, this game offers the best of both worlds! And just when you think it's over, history might just repeat itself...

UPGRADES
The game is mostly free to play, but you can upgrade to take control of your experience - choosing which side and how much territory to start with. You can also blow off steam with fantasy battles between any 2 cultures - and as many warriors as your device can handle! For what it's worth, you can also edit every character in the world - but please note that this game uses up to 1,000 of them that are regularly replaced.

CONTROLS
When controlling a specific character, this game offers either the "Classic" 1-handed control system or "Dual Wield" where each hand is controlled separately. If you are not already familiar with these from previous games in the series, you can pause the action at any time by hitting the dateline and then study the "Controls" guide. Also look out for in-game hints from scrolls or books that you can read.

In this game, you can change which member of the team you are controlling at any time by either tapping the health meter or literally pointing to them on the battlefield. By tapping the arrows at the bottom of the screen, you can also activate "Commander" mode where you step back and direct any active member of your team by simply swiping from their location to another. Whether you intend them to relocate, fight an enemy, or pick up an object, they will try to make sense of your instructions. But please bear in mind that they can only do so at their convenience and may have other priorities!

Whatever device or control method you are using, you can always zoom in or out by pinching at the centre of the screen.

MAP
The main "Campaign" game mode requires you to increase your territory by moving units from one area to any connected one. You can either "fortify" an existing territory or attempt to seize a rival territory. Note that only 50% of the units in a territory will be available to travel - which necessarily makes it harder to invade than it is to defend.

The population of any inhabited territory may grow after each round, so it is important to control as many as possible. Notice that units will also gradually heal over time, so it is a good idea to work with different locations each turn.

PERFORMANCE
Please note that this is the largest scale game I have made yet, and may require a high-end device to run at 100%. Consider keeping the "Population" low to reduce the number of characters on screen, or tone down other features in the "Display" options.

I regret there is more to this game than I could ever explain here, so I hope you enjoy figuring some things out for yourself!

This game is fantastic. Wish there were more games like this. We could also do without the whole upgrade system though, it is what you do with all your games and it bugs me that I don't get a full version or complete experience. It reminds me of EA. But I do enjoy it to a certain extent. Thank goodness it's not online because I love offline games because I can play them whilst travelling keep up the hard work. Sorry for long review!! 😁😁😁

I wish you will get back to developing this game and improving upon it further. For instance, assign a permanent commander to all your forces, and be able to deploy who you want if they can; A better looking and more interactive map; and wardrobe options where you can simply choose from a list of wardrobe that you want your units to wear (as it is right now you have to build every costume from stratch, per character and that is very tedious).

It's a good fun game, but there's one really annoying problem, It's way too easy to switch sides, that is a problem because you are bound to at least hit someone once/kill someone and an ally is going to ask, "Are you still on our side?" and you could pick yes or no, but you could by mistake hit the no button and be thrown on the other team, all i ask is that you add a second option saying "are you sure?" if you pressed no, now i would specify why i want this added but i can't write anymore.

I really hate the direction this game went towards. The war and battle mechanics sound good in writing, but its long, boring, and barely enjoyable. And once you finally think you won, the future soldiers pop in and kill everyone without any possibility of winning unless youre practically a god. Besides the difficulty to even beat it all, its just so tedious. Hard Time and School Days were great titles, had a lot of freedom, you made your own character and led your own life. In this, you play as everyone. Again, sounds great on paper, but it just adds complications and another layer of difficulty. I know the dev was just trying to take a turn in a new direction, but its a bad step. The games made by MDickie were mainly enjoyed by its simplicity. Take away the simplicity, and you get... THIS. Sure, its a well coded, well made game, but it needs to be simplified and the future characters are far too OP. They should- no.. NEED to be nerfed. All in all, decent game, but its stripped of its simplicity, and causes it to lose its fun and charm.

Compared to the previous games, this game has a very interesting story and gameplay. The AI for the conquest may not be very smart, but the fun part is truly the battles between the troops and the randomised civil war that happens. Slow down conquest to fight against Future troops with an easier chance of winning.

I would have rated this game five stars but my problem with it is that it takes forever for the next round to load when you are doing much better than the other army. There should be an option to skip or at least speed up the animation of the troops moving throughout the world because I kid you not it can take ten minutes or more before the next round on MAXIMUM SPEED. Inevitably, this is incredibly frustrating, so until then I will rate this game one star.

I've just finished it. The ending is so sad and heartwarming I would definetely want a part 2! My best warriors are from Japan he's a Ninja and he has slain tons of enemies but most of them are zombies and he has also fought in Antartica. I want to see my troops celebrate but the screen fades to black and goes back to the map. Download it now it's fun and very challenging took me 2 days to finish.

As much as there are very high attributes to this game, there are many glaring faults as well. At times I can't see my player, and before I know it he runs out and gives up. My team retreats. Sometimes my team member runs away from the fight without asking my permission. The opponent's seem too powerful, with no difficulty level options. So marks for the game play, thought behind this idea, and marks on making a comprehensive game. But.....

This Is definitely his worst game but it is not as bad as others are rating it. The main issue the game has performance issues even on 3v3 matches and minimal graphics settings it still gets awful stutter and can fell unplayable. There is also a problem where you teammates will start talking to you which gives the enemy time to get up and start fighting back. It is still fun and hallarious but I would of loved to see the performance issues be ironed out before he retired

Amazing game and decently difficult it is a bit difficult but that's when strategy comes into play. You can beat the entire game without switching sides once. But regardless It is a fun experience but not much of an ending after you kill all the zombies

All MDickie Mobile games have in common, The Distractions and minor things that will mess up you up while you play. and the Rigging of some fights. the animals and the dialogue Contribute to this too. They just shoved the minor mechanics onto this why? But I digress. Now heres the good parts, the new strategic gameplay the switching of characters while you fight and the goddamm IS 2 with its insane 2000 rounds per minute

I love this game and especially how the narrative is connected with Wrecked and Extra lives. The game can be challenging at times especially when you start fighting against lasers and freeze rays. All in all it's a pretty cool game. I hope you develop more games like this. I really enjoy it.

Worst MDickie ever. Where so I even begin. The AI is atrocious considering that they move so much and in such weird ways to so when I try to shoot them once they stand still for half a second, they completely dodge it because they just move up at the last second. The animals were a cool concept at first until you have tigers chasing only you and killing you. The controls are awful. But my favorite is that they literally made the game pay to win and it's a single player game. Still love MDickie.

Okay a few years ago I thought this game was trash but I never actually played it it's just I heard that it was bad so I was afraid to play it but now it's actually kind of fun but one thing is the flamethrowers should be band they are way too OP I'll just be walking and I'll lose because I'm immediately set on fire and it's so f****** annoying but you know what the game's pretty good definitely not the best but it is fun

Not consistent at all, sadly. I'm a fan of MDickie's games but recently, things have gone downhill. This game has potential, but it's ruined by the constant bugs and glitches. Usually, after each battle an ad plays (which is already annoying), but then the game tends to glitch out after the ad, choosing land to venture to by itself and the controls not responding. It's quite annoying, and I'm forced to close and open the app until it responds. Quite a shame.

Pretty much just as fun as any other mdickie games with a few gripes. 1. The animals are out of control and annoying as hell. They will charge at you full force and kill you in an instant without control. 2. If you decide to choose future or present, you will be mowed down by trigger happy teammates over and over. 3. Game is very easily beatable, I tried as many variations of the game with all ending the same way with minimal difference each play through.
