The app works pretty well. It is a little confusing in some parts but works well once you figure it out. I would love to see this app send me a reminder to charge my headphones when the battery gets low. Also, I am no longer able to hear my Google Fit workout updates every 5 minutes I have set up. When the update audio turns on, the headphones audio mutes and then will unmute when the update is complete.

Seems that it needs work. Doesn't connect reliably. The Find My Headset feature, which worked flawlessly on my previous Backbeat Fit, more often than not just sends a deafening tone to my phone's speaker, so I'm afraid to use it when it might bother someone nearby. I checked the Bluetooth connection, so I'm assuming that it's this app. Finding my way around is a bit confusing too, though the design is pretty. Looking forward to a more functional update.

Bought a set of Backbeat Fit 3150. I expected this app to do as suggested and enable personalisation. I can't have one earbud with two options and the other with a different two. It would be great if I could set left to adjust volume and right to play pause with one tap and skip or tell time with two taps. Devs feel free to contact I'm not just here to be critical, I would like to give more ideas to make a better user experience.

In addition to disconnecting from the app, if I take a call and hang up I can no longer hear music, YouTube, or any other sound included notifications or ringtone unless I disconnect the buds and reconnect. If I get another call, have to do it all over again! And now I see the app hasn't been updated in over a year! Uninstalling!

All I wanted was to customize the equalizer and it doesn't give that very basic option. Just two premade settings. The same goes for the ANC, just high and low.. both of which can barely be considered functional. I expected a lot more from a company with such a rich history. I won't be buying from Plantronics again.

App hits and misses. No problems connecting headphones, stays connected, and while the app is open I can customise settings instantly, but if I close the app and reopen it, the app does not recognise that the headphones are still connected, and I'll need to disconnect and reconnect through Android Bluetooth settings before I can change or adjust anything again. Nokia 9, Android 10, Backbeat fit 3150. Not sure why people are commenting on headphones and Plantronics. Review is about the app only.

After trying the BackBeat FIT Companion app and failing miserably I decided to try this one. Not much better. At least this one recognized that my Backbeat FIT 2100 was connected to the device. It was able to control the volume of the voice prompts, so those two things combined get it two stars. I tried using the app to remove an old paired device. It temporarily bricked my headset until I plugged it in to charge for a little while. Being the glutton for punishment that I am I tried it a second time with the same results. At that point I tried a different option, the factory reset. It also temporarily bricked my headset until I plugged it in. So this gets uninstalled as well.

Honestly this a great app, I can't really see any way it can be improved but I just started using it. If I experience any issues I will be sure to come back and update my review. I'm not usually a big fan of apps for audio devices but I feel like this is a rare instance where the app adds benefit to the user experience of the product. I'm really enjoying my new set BackBeat Fit 3100s and how they work with with this app and their performance in general.

Horrible, my set is brand new the 3100 series, wouldn't connect to my s8 phone. Also, doesn't connect to my brand new laptop. Their insert card doesn't provide a toll free number either. I've google for support line and a number was provided online, but when you go to call it says number doesn't allow in your calling area. So frustrated going to return the set. I've blue my Gf set me my phone in seconds without a third party app. Why do you need to go through an app for bluetooth.

Make sure you set the app settings for BackBeat under your phone to "don't optimise". I found recently that the timer alerts sent from my 3150 headphones were working intermittently and I had to keep reopening the app on my phone. I expect that once it was in the background my phone was limiting it's use. So far changing the optimisation setting to "don't optimise" has solved this.

has never paired with my ear phones no matter how many times I've tried. I can pair with my phone and other devices fine but this app? nothing. considering how much I spent on my earphones I expected a lot more. my last earphones had a great app including ability to change sound settings. and that was for cheaper ones....

This App does not provide any benefit for the Backbeat FIT 350 headphones. It just provides a place to get the user guide which can easily be obtained from the Plantronics website. I was expecting to be able to adjust the settings of the headphones to change the EQ settings. This seems to be an app to just collect user data.

CLEAR THE CACHE OF THE APP I was not able to connect either of my BBFIT2100 devices after I moved my data to a different Galaxy S8 phone. After unsucessfully trying innumerable times to connect by following the trouble shooting on the app , in desperation I finally CLEARED THE CACHE in Settings / Apps / BackBeat / Storage. It worked. The troubleshooting directions should include this simple step.

Absolute rubbish app and headset. Does not connect properly. If you. Can get it to connect it drops out within 30 seconds and cannot find them again until you turn them off and on again. Then same problem. So you can never update or customise them.

Why would you only be able to disable touch controls for a set amount of time? If any amount of sweat gets on the earbud, it continuously lowers the volume. I'd you're going to make poorly thought through controls, at least allow them to be disabled.

I don't see much use for this app. It adds very little to using the headphones without the app. User guide says "stream a playlist, use a stop watch, customize volume settings and more". Don't see how you do the first two anywhere.

App tells me my BackBeat FIT 2100 is not supported and directs me to use Plantronics Hub?! I've already paired my headphones and customized its controls with an older version of this app! Now I can no longer customize the controls or even check my headphones' battery level through the app. Ridiculous! Please allow me to upgrade to an older version of this app.

Useless. After I first paired my 3150s, I could go into the app and it had info about them (battery % etc) but now the app insists they are not connected, even when they are. I uninstalled, reinstalled, re-paired, with no improvement. So what's the point of the app.

There are many features available in this app that are interesting but inane. The one feature that would make up for the blandness would be the ability to disable touch controls on the headphones completely.

Poor support, horrible app, overrated product. Can I give this ZERO stars? I have an mp3 player. Bluetooth is bluetooth. Connecting should not be a problem and my BBFit headset works fine with the mp3 player. Unlike the Backbeat Fit app, this one will not switch my earphones from my phone to my mp3 player. I sent a support request to Plantronics on Dec 15. They NEVER acknowledged the request and have not fixed the problem. For such an expensive product, this is UNACCEPTABLE.

some people are saying that the app won't find their headsets. I've found that putting the Bluetooth for the headset in phone mode allows the app to function. App works well now that I've figured that out.

So, the app is fine i guess. but the biggest thing is the Bluetooth of one headphone cuts in and out alot. i have turn it on and off and completely reset them and reinstalled all updates but its still poor. Please look into software that will fix this

Where is the connection switcher? Such a useful feature of the old companion app, I'm confounded as to its ommision here. edit. discovered that the phone connects to multiple devices that are paired so no need for switcher (changing to 5 stars).

I'm giving this 5 stars to honor what Plantronics was. Quality and style always came first, and their Bluetooth headsets always came with a cool case that doubled as a power pack long before wireless earbuds came along... Anyhow, they certainly didn't, "merge," with the company Poly. This app is just more proof. It still says Plantronics and Poly has just abandoned it. They used to have a whole line of gaming headsets too, but on Poly's site, they, and so much more, are gone... RIP Plantronics

If you own the great in-ear headphones that are the Plantronics BBGO410 you need this app. Yes, its that simple. Bright and Bass EQ's, ANC high/low and off, battery time or % left and yes it has the must have feature of 2019 - Dark mode!!! enjoy 🙂🙂 p.s. apparently good for all other BackBeat headphones too

Why is it not possible to have tap functions on both headphones at the same time? And why such limited selection of tap functions? It would be great is click controls could be changed into tap controls and modified...

Seriously? Downloaded this app gor my headphones. Tells me theres a firmware update. Then instead of updating, continuosly crashes my phone. Everything else on my phone works normal. But when i use this app, it just crashes. My phone even runs slow and glitchy. So an update to be able to update would be awesome!

Bought a BackBeat GO 810 that is bugged as hell. Downloaded the app to try updating its firmware and surprise: it's doesn't work. The update starts but gets immediately stuck at 2% and never goes beyond that. Don't recommend this at all.
