Backgammon 16 Games

The app has a LOT of features. Yet, needs some minor perfections. Root menu has a ton of settings. But it's accessable only in single player mode. Also, color of the game pieces should match color of the dice for each player + addition of Crazy Narde. Important: in Narde both opponents must have the ability to play TWO pieces off the starting point on the very first roll when it is impossible to play it out all the way with one piece. Example: one player rolls 6x2 (or 2x1) and rival gets 5x5.

Who knew there were so many ways to play backgammon. I'm enjoying learning them. While the AI's dice seem to be magically lucky most of the time, I'm still able to beat it. There are times when the game freezes up on me to where I can't roll dice or anything. I have to clear cache and force stop which erases the game I was playing. May want to fix that glitch. Other than that it's quite fun. Thank you.

Nice interface and gameplay, but the best feature is that multi player works online, local lan, and bluetooth. Used to win all the time, but the last few days the computer seems to be getting the exact dice needed to win, just saying. Ok, it appears that I get doubles when I need them just as often as the computer.

Great app. This plays the most "human" of any I've used. It might slightly have lucky rolls but it's the best one I've played.

Nice game but it crashes. This will be the second time I've unistalled it in like 2 months.

Graphically, this is the best BG App. The AI is a bit weak (BG NJ and BG Gold are much stronger; XG is still my favorite, but now it works only on few devices). It does not cheat. The possibility to play probably all variants of modern Backgammon is fantastic. What is not acceptable is that years ago I paid to remove all ads, and now the are back, albeit not during games. Payments should be honoured. Without adds it would be a 5 stars.

Really boring. Really slow. No option for increased level ir more challenging levels. Uninstalled very quickly because i actyally fell asleep playing this.

Started out less rigged than others. Playing quite a while now and noticed I would not be able to play second die at times. Just happened again. Did not expect "Al" to do that. Being very vilgilent on roles when taking off stones. I actually half of my turn. Unbelievable

The best free game of backgammon I can find, despite all its faults. It has 19 different versions of backgammon. Allows you to adjust the ai strategy. On the other hand the ai is weak- I win over 82% of the rounds and over 98% of the 15 point tournaments. You can not reliably save a game, although by hitting the home button in the middle of the game, normally allows you to return to a game/tournament in progress. The dice are not random. The ai receives fewer doubles. In some games-none.

Many claims that others are the best versions of backgammon. I went through all of the offline versions and settled on this one. It's the only version to have no suspicious need for permissions, truly random dice and a well designed interface. The adverts aren't even very intrusive, but I paid the small fee to remove them anyway. I really hope this app stays this way!

If watching the AI roll perfect dice is your thing, you'll love it. Unbelievable ability to roll exactly what's needed, nearly every time. Of course it's poorly programmed so there is no other way for it to compete. If playing acey deucey, you can count on an average of one or two 1/2 rolls per game playing anything else, count on nearly a dozen per game. It also crashes about 1 in every 4 games too.

Easy to use and there is many ways to make the app respond to how you want the game to flow. Can also program the opponent in a limited sense (defensive or offensive or a mash of the 2). I am a somewhat jaded player, having played offshore as well as the U.S. and know what correct responses should be, so I am the wrong one to define the character of the A.I., It is easily beatable, but enjoyable. Dice are real random, a nice touch after Google's version No back game from opponent, though.

The idea that the dice rolls are random, is BS. When the AI always manages to roll just what it needs to get your open chips and cover itself, it's not random. When the AI always manages to get the perfect double roll to get itself off the bar and land on your open chips, it's not random. When you see yourself constantly roll doubles when you have one chip left to bear off, it's not random. Uninstalled cause if I saw it roll itself another double 6, I was going to throw my phone. Pathetic.

I give 1 star because I can't leave a zero. This is for Acey Duecy mode. Although I'm sure all modes act the the same. When they started running adds, they did something to the program. It now cheats on a regular basis. If you get to far ahead of it, it locks up. Then you have to exit and start a new game while the locked up game is scored as a loss on the stats. I don't care what they say, the AI dice rolls are anything but random. Have deleted from tablet and will NEVER install again.

Good game but app freezes and i have to reload frequently

Good collection of Backgammon variants, the only app I've found that allows a doubling cube with Plakoto and Moultezim. Claims 18 variants, but many are virtually identical. An option to automatically bear off would be useful. Unfortunately it has some serious bugs such as doubling cube disappearing and sometimes not allowing you to bear off your counters. Might be worth 5 stars when the bugs are ironed out.

Not many on here. Has many varieties of BG but not helpful as many aren't even on there. Pity really !

Amazing app! Multiplayer modes: online, 2 people on a single device, 2 people with their own devices via Bluetooth. Very precise finger tips. Best app for backgammon indeed! Several improvement suggestions: * A reasonable minute of inactivity for online game. If a user doesn't roll dices for considerable amount of time (like 60-90 sec.), the user should be kicked out. * Some users write inappropriate/offensive messages through a chat. The message would be popped up on the screen. Would be very nice to have a black list, where users could be muted or blocked. Thank you for your work.

Not even worth it , i wished there was a zero star to gladly accompany with these words but sadly i must give at least 1 star and this game doesn't even deserve that 1 single star i Gave,to hell with that game !

Its incomplete rules do not enforce using the highest die possible in cases when the player is unable to use both dice. The app has begun displaying full screen ads that won't exit. You are forced to close the game and restart in order to get back to the game. This is intolerable. Uninstalled.

Fun fast & fair for beginners to mid level players. It deserves a 5 star since there are no annoying ads, points or crazy levels that advanced or expert players have to contend with in other apps. It is just a plain simple looking app to enjoy & relax against a challenging AI to build your defense skills & get a bit of your gammon tactics or backgammon strategic moves tested & trained before a real life tournament! 🤖😊

This is the VERY BEST of backgammon/tavla apps made so far. What is great is for those of us that play more then the ordinary classic game and are looking for Plakoto, Fevga and much more, this is your app-all in one. I would like to see an improvement in the graphics bc although there are a few options I would like to have had a plain clear ordinary board option. Μπράβο σας!

I love the game & this one is quite professional with nearly every option possible; I prefer COLOR options over brown, brown & brown. I am looking forward to learning the many other styles of game-plays offered ( hopefully including full tutorials for each ). Some color choices will give it 5 ⭐'s❗

Lately, at times, one of my checkers cannot be moved. I can sometimes fix it by moving a different one first but not always. I just rolled double sized as I was bearing off and the dice faded out before I could move any checker and the dice rolled for the computer. I hope the update I just installed fixes this.

Excellent Backgammon game, best I have played. Only gets a 4 star at present because there is an annoying bug. If a player takes you out and you go into middle bar, 9 times out of 10 or an extremely high percentage the next dice that you role is always a bloody double 6!

Fun, but... Dice algorithms are biased toward the computer. Computer receives doubles of 4s, 5s, and 6s almost 6x more often (on average) than the player. Also, player receives rolls totaling

This game is very enjoyable. I'm impressed with the random dice. Many games are rigged... Example: I took a 1 and a 2 for three rounds and my opponent rolls double 6's. Not in this game, it is a very fair game. Everyone should try it.... You all will love it!!
