It doesn't cheat as much as other backgammon apps. The good thing are the player levels which help us beginners. At level 3 & 4, it cheats by getting the right number when you're forced to leave a piece alone on the board. It gets the right roll to send you to the bar. It hits doubles consistently when it has to come off the board. When you're on the bar, it will give you doubles on occupied opponent points.
played a out 20 times against the computer. computer always got at least 3 doubles. very weighted toward computer. somet.es it would not let me play somthing that I knew was right only to have the computer do the same play. too bad cuz it is fun as long as you don't mind losing all the time. then playing an opponent they quit in the middle of the game.
After playing this game for a period of time it becomes apparent that this is the luckiest cpu of all time. It manages to throw the precise number required to take opposition pieces or cover faultlessly. It will remove pieces regardless of any true strategic value. Doesnt represent a real game. It all becomes a little tiresome after awhile. I've chosen to uninstall this app.
The first two levels the dice were equal between me and the ai. The third I kept rolling 6-3 while the ai began to not only get doubles but the exact ones needed to do the most damage. I guess none of the present game developers are smart enough to actually create a progressive ai. Update! I can predict the dice in certain situations.
Algorithm is set up to give the computer at least 4 doubles a game, large number toss, and the exact amount to hit every time. The only time you win is if you beat the set up as well as the game. Not worth the trouble when its suppose to be a relaxing game.
The game is set up at level 2 to cheat and not based on randomness or strategy. The computer gets to start 9 out of 10 times, and will always get between 5-10! doubles, especially double 6 if it seems it may lose.
It used to be good... Too many things are automated and moving. You cannot stop the visual hints and need to click more often to move... super annoying. I deleted it again.
AWFUL!!! LOST more games to unstable network & opponent leaving the room than I got to even complete. Should be severe punishment for leaving the room. In other words I can play a good game,or just get lucky after hanging in there for a long time & once the opponent sees the reversal of fortune he can just leave the room?, & maybe (i dont know) cause an "unstable network " situation, the game resets & all is wiped out? Too much work for someone to not like the course the game has taken & justquit
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME...after the 1st level the roll of the dice is NOT random for the computer, or the players rolling of the dice. the computer will cover its pieces 2 or 3 chips at every move. However, if the computers does leave 1 chip open; you will have to decide move it, and have yours done at the computers roll. either this game is collecting players state no how, or the program is how many times you play before you say, this game is a waste of time. They should remove this programs.
This game is a fraud. The opponent bot cheats constantly by rolling the dice values that give it the best advantage. Don't waste your time on this app. It has been weighted in such a way as to frustrate you into playing more and more games, in order to get you exposed to ever more adverts. NOT recommended.
awful! very bad and disappointing! opponent can finish the game at any moment without losing it! this is a big bug for such a game! whenever that opponent feel that he could not win the game, he just put the game in background, and you will see an error window writen :" network is unstable" this is awfulllll
After you win a few games it will always roll whatever number is required to hit any single piece you have and will not let you roll numbers to get back on the board or hit any single piece the computer has. If you are winning toward the end of the game, the computer will roll consecutive doubles to win the game.
Not that good at all. slow to start losts of bugs and dice not random....at times loosing plays are handed too many double dice in a raw.....its seems that there is programming to kinda even up the game to make even bad players to come back with increadible amount of programed luck...so the stay happy and use the app
Initially the board makes some rather reckless moves but learns from defeat and at this time is a fairly formidable opponent. If it gets any smarter I'll probably switch to another game, but it keeps my interest piqued by allowing me to win. Great game and with very few glitches.
I play the single player game at the hardest level. It does not challenge me at all. It doesn't take the chips out on a 2 and 1 roll of the dice. Instead it moves other chips therefore I always win. I am uninstalling because it's a waste of my time.
For Beginners Only. Works fine, but no doubling cube. No auto bearing-off. Animations get tedious after a while. I can't believe people think this cheats. The AI plays like a child at all but the highest level.
I love the game, but it is setup to always roll doubles on the computers side when playing the difficult level. There should be a setting to turn off doubles.
Aamzing how often the computer rolls exactly the dice it needs or you roll exactly against your favor , sooooo frustrating. Level of gameplay is not determined by algorithm but by lucky dice in computer's favor. Otherwise very enjoyable.
Playing field pips and pieces to small! (I cant see very well). 2: only 1 Sound option... Not split music, sound effects! some times music is fun sometimes it's not... but sound effects last forever!
i think the game producers have misunderstood the meaning of "difficulty", for the hardest level (level 4) single player version, the opponent (computer) always get the best numbers, either hit my blot or get to a empty point.
I love backgammon. I initially gave this game 4 stars until I played it for a while. Not only will the computer make senseless moves leaving a stone uncovered, but it will almost certainly bar you despite having better moves! I won't play with humans that do that. Uninstalled.
I had 6 in a row rolls various combination and the computer each time said "no moves" while my opponent advanced across the board. What the heck. I will not tolerate this. Sorry uninstalling, there are other games
Although I'm a beginner, I played twice (once in level 3 and once in level 4) and I won both. I guess the algorithm is not smart enough.
dam game is pissi g me off!!!!!! it is stubborn about moving a piece.for example.baring off a 6 I'll tap 6 it lights up as does home slot I'll tap slot & nothing ,have to do this 20 to 30 times sometimes .not just baring off several times i. a game. NOT me or phone. got other backgammon.aps no problem with themm
Computers cheat, and they cheat more often on the higher levels. We understand that and play accordingly. However your program routinely, fails to take all required moves. Thereby seldom leaving pieces uncovered. On numerous occasions, when the dice required the computer to leave pieces uncovered it would take all the safe spaces and not move any of the remaining spaces. Because of this I can't see anything other than a 3 star rating.
