Backgammon - Lord of the Board

Awesome graphics, good ideas, dynamic. But very predictable. I never tried to buy coins, but I think if I do I might get more equal games. You can often guess wats going to happen.. You can calculate whatever you want, but if you're playing for free, it's sure that the odds changes. Last example, after a good roll I redouble and my opponent accepts with 3 % chances to win.. he wins. If you try to avoid a hit and it's only e.g. 4 3, 1 of 18 to hit, the Lord increases that chance by about 3.

I don't believe it is skill. Luck but ... I gave this game 3 stars because the graphics are the best I have found. I have been playing backgammon for nearing 50 years. I am not a bad player. I know all the right moves and combination rolls. I know how and where to build blocks so my the opponent has trouble getting by. I don't put the opponent on the bar just for kicks. 6 months later and I drop from 3 stars to 0000.

This is a fun game that could be much better with some changes. I play tournament backgammon, and this online version is quite a bit different from real life. They are trying to get you hooked from the beginning to get money for coins. Constant ads and deals and promotions. The ads get very annoying, and the deals all over the place. Paying for coins doesn't let you win more BTW. And I know they say the dice are random, but sometimes the rolls are just impossible and don't happen in real life.

At first I was getting a decent amount wins and enjoying buy the longer you win or the higher your win streak is seems to screw you over. I legit have had the computer or my opponent get doubles three to four times in a row and won't see a single one to me. The computer seems to favor my opponent and let the get the exact roll they need to hit me but won't let me off the edge to even have a chance at winning even when opening are available it wouldn't let me off the edge. Complete waste of time.

I've been playing this game on and off with different accounts for over 2 years, and apart from a few annoyances that you would expect from a free app, it's a great game. The reason for my 1 star review is that I recently made my first ever purchase for coins, and as soon as I had, the option to watch ads for free coins has completely disappeared. Obviously this is a ploy to force more purchases, but as I'm not able to buy coins regularly, it's completely ruined the game for me. It's a farce.

I like this but the pop ups are annoying. My response from support when I provided feedback was "The pop-ups you receive are important to keep you updated about special events, promotions, and new features, which could speed up your progress at the game and turn you into a backgammon champ!" Umm no the pop ups slow me down. Plus they are advertised on the home screen. I don't need them thrown in my face too. I do like that you don't have to watch a bunch of commercials though.

Seems the dice get rolled for the computer better then for me. I played one game were the opponent got doubles 6 times in a row. I got all low rolls. Update: I gave it a shot and the computer continues to generate doubles alot for the opposing player. It's clear that it sets up who it wants to win. I finally had to uninstall the game. I like a challenge but this game has an unfair advantage with the dice generator. It's sad when an opponent gets repeated doubles upto 6 to 7 times . Pathetic.

Waste of time, watch videos sometimes you get the coins, sometimes not. Seems like if you don't buy coins your wins are limited. Never had opponents throw sooo many doubles when it's obvious that they are way behind and you are down to a few moves to complete the game. Just amazing 👏 also when you are leading you loose connection and it is not on the players system.

"Enjoyable app. Fun to play against other people rather than a computer." That was my initial rating until I played for a while, now I have the opposite opinion. The game is obviously rigged so you will spend $$. I have purchased coins to be able to play the game longer. The moment I did, I went on a losing streak for an entire weekend. Even when I was winning, the other player would get a string of perfect rolls and beat me by one or two. It's too frustrating to enjoy.

This game has been one of the most 'fair' I have downloaded, but as soon as I have spent 2.67 for 80,000 coins, the games have been incredibly fixed for my opponent to win. How can one be losing by 60 catch up? 5 doubles 6s in a row! No matter which table I played, for the past 5 hours I have LOST every single game. The developer has said that it doesn't play off players data, which I think is the scam here. As soon as you put money into the game you lose, to get you to spend more. Horrible.

Wayyy too many one combination rolls that turn the game upside down. When playing a challenge the difficulty level goes up x10 wth the opponent getting doubles and sniping exact combinations. I bought 2$ worth of coins once and ever since it seems to have gotten more unlucky. I think that's suspicious but can't prove it obviously... besides that the game flows well and has the Best graphics Edit: What will I contact you for? I believe The game isn't 100% random. Too many times unreal incidents

Don't waste your time this game is rigged, it is an algorithm so the chances of you needing to buy coins is in the favour of the game developers. There is no other way opponents can get every roll they need in so many games in a row, that is not in anyway random dice . And when downloading photos from phone it adds loads of screens shots of the game that you don't make and then have to either delete them before import or after, another wasteof time.

This game is obviously rigged, despite all the contrary claims from the developers. You can be well ahead... having blocked the adversarywith only one way out and you can bet on it that you lose the game, because the dice are giving the adversary the only way out and in addition double sixes ... and you are left with maximum a three.... for several rounds ... so if you want to play a well equilibrated game ... don't touch this game look for another app

I would have given more stars but I don't like the counters moving by themselves and they determine your next move which usually ends up with the other opponent knocking you off. Also when it comes to bearing off your counters the opponent again gets multiple doubles which gives them the advantage to finish the game. It's supposed to be fair and enjoyable.

The dice rolls are fine! The RNG - no issue whatsoever! The problem is there is no crawford rule, coupled with improper use of the doubling cube. This places the emphasis on luck, rather than skill. To assist me, make the game authentic and fix the doubling cube, as its totally inaccurate. Furthermore, the challenges promote weak play. The developers should take the time to play, learn or watch a decent match. Attend a WBGF tourny and see how the game should be played. Have a good day.

I absolutely loved this app. I still play for hours every day because I enjoy the card albums challenge. It's more intriguing than the other Backgammon apps. I really appreciated the apps staff that addressed my issues within the app. The app used to have a feature that helped you gain coins every time you collected enough extra cards. That has all changed. The staff isn't helpful and the game seems riged for you to lose everything so you'll buy coins. DONT BUY THE COINS. YOU'LL LOSE MORE OFTEN

Update: gave it 1 or 2 more shots. Still no change. I found another backgammon game where the odds of actually winning and not wasting your money are better. This one is getting deleted. Just a money scheme... I get decent rolls when I don't spend money on the game. As soon as I spend money the opponent gets all the rolls needed. Strategy means nothing when the opponents last 5 rolls are doubles. Won't be spending anymore money on this

Tons of ads and beware, if you buy any coins you will lose them all. The app builders say it is random play. Nope, not buying it...and NOT buying one more token from them. It's a scam with the ads being the real reason for the game and game play being a distant second. I have moved on to another app that actually appears to be random.

Enjoyable. Too many extras offered every time I want to play. I think that if there was a question posed at the start of the game those that like the extras could view them. For example 'would you like to view our current offers?'. Or purchase more coins (content). Or * click here for our seasonal specials *. I often avoid the game because I feel bombarded with the offers before the game starts

This is by far hands down the best backgammon game there is, it has the best layout the best graphics the only downside is that it is exceptionally hard to get coins, if like me you are not familiar and just starting backgammon you can't get enough coins to really practice so either a higher bonus payout ideally 10x more or a free game where the winner gets 200 coins would really increase playability and keep people on the app for longer.

I like the app, but too many damn pop-ups! Stop with the barrage of pop-ups! For the love of God....STOP! I don't need to be reminded of an in-game promotion every 30 seconds! The promotions are clearly labeled around the border of the game screen. That should be enough.😡😡😡

It can be alot of fun up until the game bugs out and freezes, stealing my coins. I can deal with ridiculous dice rolls occasionally that would never happen in real life but glitches in the game costing me coins is too much. Fix and I will upgrade my review.

Too many pop ups, like 5 when the game starts, and loads in between games, sometimes same pop up more than once in a row. It's a good game, but cmon, 1 pop up at a time. 😒 It's not "a great way to catch up on events", it's spamming, 1 pop up at a time is sufficient. ***Seems like this reply from them is an automated response to my review, perhaps I should be looking for a new backgammon game.***

The dice is so rigged on this game that at sometimes makes me wonder whether an AI does it or there are actual humans watching every game and manipulating it, which of course cannot be the case. That said, its a great app with cool graphics. I wish they would found a better way to make money than controlling the dice.

This App is a joke. Unless your willing to spend money you will lose every time. Unless your a newbee. They let you win by so easily. Just not fun when it's so controlled. I spend money on some of my games that I believe are at least playing fair, and trust me sometimes I spend a lot more than planned. Yet I have no problem with doing that. This game is totally corrupt I would not spend a dime. Which is too bad because backgammon is a really good strategic game.

love it! one thing I would change is the time between the moves. must be shorter.Some players, when losing, stalling. Installed it on my new phone, and it is even better. 👌

I did purchase 3 time and evry tom6 u loose in order to make buy again not worth it they make sure u loos again and again. Dice and the favorite to ur opponent get the dice he need .multi time last minute quads I give only the grafik is good but pop ups icon exactly on the bonus icon It is not good like it is pitching us to order more Since I stopped purchasing I can not even win a 400 bet been more then a month Pls do not say it is random Skills we have I've played really tournament fr years
