DO NOT DOWNLOAD! WORST GAME EVER! Nothing random about the rolls of dice that the computer generates for itself. Doesn't matter what difficulty level it is set at, it will give itself what it needs to beat you down and frustrate you. Gave it a rest for a few months thinking it might just be a programming glitch that they would fix but did the same BS when I tried it again. Bye!

Changed my review from 1 to 4 stars. Found a work around to it's most annoying bug - not being able to bear off - by abandoning & saving the match and then restoring it. Only issue is there doesn't seem to be much difference between levels. This is my favorite backgammon app now.

When fixing the dice to get the spins the 'AI' requires to get out of a losing position you can see the dice roll graphic completes much quicker. This is because choosing the required result is a quicker calculation than the random generator. This is just a lazy way of making higher levels more difficult. You can't enjoy this game as taking calculated risks, which is an essential element of playing backgammon is not being governed here by the rules of probability.

Seriously flawed. Normally GnuBG allows you to offer to resign at a certain value and the opponent must approve the offer. In this app the AI resigns without approval costing you points. There are also some fatal bugs when bearing off. I've had it happen several times that I cannot make legal move after having selected a checker. On my phone which has a wider than 16:9 screen the board dimensions are weird and the ads have the sides cut off so there is no way to close them.

unfortunately this app has a major bug when playing online via FIBS. If hou are on the bar, it automatically moves one of your pieces into a spot that doesn't relate to what the dice shows. It then locks up and you have to quit. Fix it please.

I really want to rate this highly, but that fatal bugs stop me. The game often refuses to allow valid moves when bearing off, which can even leave you stuck. If the bugs were fixed, I would rate this a 4 or 5.

Smart, challenging. All those whiners who say that this game cheats just don't play well enough. For once and for all: backgammon is a game of skill, not just chance. At advanced level I almost win half of my sets of first to 7. Just watch the game's strategies and imitate them, don't just play safe but take risks.

Cheats. Uses random generated dice most of the time but cheats at higher levels to simulate skill. You can see this as the dice spin is over quicker when it cheats compared to random generation.

Default to upsidedown. Cant combine two moves together.

Probably the only BG game on the Play store that uses a proper, non-cheeting engine. This is possible because the developer ported the open source GNU Backgammon engine which is more than great. However the developer needs to improve on the controls and the stability. For example for just several games I hit a stopship bug twice, which does not allow you to bear your checkers out.

Very strong AI engine though it sometimes gives up too many points upon resignation. I would give this 5 stars if that is fixed and two features were added: 1. toggle prompt for double during the game. There is nothing more frustrating than bring asked if you want to double before every move when you're completely blocked and will remain blocked for a while. 2. Auto move option if your move is forced. Perhaps add a fast forward feature along with auto move so you can skip ahead to when you have an actual decision to make. Overall, great app.

What else can I say? Impossible to reach FIBS dye to comms errors, being unable to end some games properly. This app loses pace with the FIBS server, failing to refresh the board with the actual game position, forcing you to stop, restart and then pray for the app to reconnect to the sqme game without any major problem. The worst is the FIBS client drops connection whenever the mobile switches networks, dropping the game, major nuisance. Disgusting.

Smarter engine than other mobile competitors, but still prone to some obvious mistakes. It's most noticable with unnecessary resignations, even sometimes forfeiting a backgammon when a modest roll would only result in a gammon. The playability - particularly the sluggish pip selection and single ply undo option - are pretty terrible, though, and frequent ads right where you're going to click don't help. There are also a few bugs: sometimes it prevents bearing off, and the export feature doesn't work.

I would rate this much more highly as it is an excellent player but its throws from the bar are incredulously accurate. This has varied from 6 - 11% better over approx 45000 throws each at world class level using their own stats.

Graphics weren't great but not very terrible. Text is stretched on Burks and hard to read. No FIBS sign on.

At last a level thats not in fact begginer level. Not as good as the snowie bot but still beats me at least 40% of the time. Its resignation skills need work and forced move option (if no choice) would be great!

The new ads system is very intrusive and annoying, sounds loud all time do not use the game if you want a good time

When in single mode, game sometimes gets stuck and I can't bear off.

So frustrating . I have never seen a game where the odds are so against you. The rolls of the dice are so ridiculously favored for the AI that it is not a coincidence. It is so frustrating to play this game. It always gets the perfect roll it needs and you will sometimes roll 10 - 15 times to get back in . It seems to get doubles continuously when bearing off when the game is close . This is not a fluke. I've played this game hundreds of times and there is such a clear pattern I should be playing against the AI being more strategic in it's playing as in chess, I should not have to be playing with the rolls of the dice clearly designed for the game to win

I like the game but it does not work very well on my asus tablet. It does not keep scores correctly and many times games end before the correct score has been achieved. But it is very fun to play

This game has been designed to win. I have given up and removed it from my device. One can be unlucky once or twice but not all the time.Mega cheat

Very strong AI. Only that it unnecessarily resigns backgammon, while it is still possible to lose only a gammon or an ordinary game

This app could be the best bg app if only we could play more than one point game on fibs and Tigger gammon.

The dice appear loaded against you in many games is played at advance level. I had recently tried all the different levels but after an update today the stats have reverted to a previous time and show only the advance level games

Can not get a game. Once i did find a player i had no dice. Played a bot, got to roll my dice then when it was the bots turn it did not move. Rubbish app.
