App works well enough, though the computer plays a little recklessly (IMHO): if it can hit, it will, even when that leaves multiple pieces open in its home six. Ads are not overly intrusive, coming at the end of every other game -- or you can watch one mid-game to re-roll bad dice, which is a little bogus (that's not to say I haven't taken advantage of the option!). Not a big fan of the celebrity-caricature avatars, but that's just cosmetic.

I really enjoy playing backgammon, however this app can be one of the most frustrating backgammon apps to play. The gameplay is great, the graphics are great, the boards are nice, most frustrating thing with this app is that the computer cheats. Computer always seems to get the most perfect rolls whenever it needs that exact number to put your guy in the break it gets it. If you have cells 2 through 6 locked down, it rolls 1 & 6 to get it peace out and moving. Random dice, yeah sure what ever!!!

Pretty good game that isn't too heavy on the battery. There are four basic issues that spoil the game. There is no option to get rid of the multiple ads, usually 2-3, between games! There is no acknowledgement of a backgammon win. When a blot is hit, to get off the bar you throw the dice and you might get 3-1 but you can't choose which piece goes on which point, the board chooses for you. The animation is very slow in all aspects. That said, it is one of the better games around.

Backgammon dice really are not randomized well, but I play it anyway. 5 second ads after a game. If I do get annoyed by ads, then I just close the game and open another game I enjoy more. I can play several rounds in a row without ads. I like how there's no waiting for opponents to join or make a move. I figured out that if I lose 2 rounds, then I bet high cuz I'm likely to win.

It's a good app. Glitches occasionally but is mostly fine. I don't like the rule that if you decline to double the bet you automatically lose, but I think that might be from actual backgammon and not the app. I always turn the doubling right down and then that's not an issue. Ads are largely unintrusive, just at the end of the game -- except the end-screen before the ad is shorter for a win than a loss, which feels a little unfair. Works well offline; also offers a reroll for an ad when online.

Game is a joke. On 'Easy' setting my opponent had this rolling percentage- out of 14 rolls it received 12 doubles including 6 in a row. Another game had every single one of my exposed tiles hit, without fail to the point that I had 7 trying to re-enter the game but every time I did the opponent managed to hit me again and again and again. If this is an example of the game's algorithm then I can't imagine what 'Hard' is like. My advice- don't even waste the 30 seconds it takes to install.

This game is amazingly unrealistic. If you want to be amused on how the computer gets doubles and exactly what it needs while you constantly get 2's and 1's and get sent to the bar, it's hilarious! The only time you get doubles is when you can't use them. It's too bad because I like how it's set up but who wants to play to constantly lose!

It's ok and a time waster but its annoying that opponent will nearly always roll what's required to knock you off the board if left open. It's also states (from my understanding) the percentage of games you will win in each level so I stick with beginner so I have slightly more chance of winning, which is about 50% of the time! You never get to win more than 2 games in a row...and winning 2 in a row is pretty rare. Will keep playing but would like more luck of the dice sometimes!!

Pretty good app. Nice interface. Not sure on the dice yet. But the bot plays quite well. Havn't got to the higher levels yet. One thing to fix, is make it so you click the dice again to pick them up instead of the silly tick button. Also please move the undo button far away from that tick pick-up dice button as numerous times I hit the wrong one bc they are so damn close to each other. Also I'm not allowed to double, no cube. No idea what that's all about. But better then most.

I spend an embarrassing amount of time playing this game & it is anything but random! It's unreal how the computer never seems to fail in rolling the dice and getting exactly what is needed to bump your pieces of the board. However, when it's the opponent's piece that has been bumped off, they do not wait for several turns on the bar to get back into play. Instead, they will get back into play instantly with the exact roll needed. I have never seen a game set up & designed to cheat like this!!

This game is fixed. I have played this game for a while now, but can't seem to get a break with my rolls of the dice. Most of the time it gives me a low amount of moves, but the computer gets a higher dice moves and more doubles than me. The computer just rolled 4 doubles on road, 6's and 4's, I rolled 1 double, it was a double 1. Crazy! Unfortunately, I will uninstall.

Great game. Twi issues need to be improved though. The movement of the pieces. They resist going to where you want them to go and require multiple attempts. I'll definitely give it a 5-Star rating if that issue is fixed. Also, the game doesn't save into Google Games App. Therefore, you can't have any progress saved across platforms.

Game has a decent AI that's relatively challenging. No match play options - all games happen in isolation so there's no chance to catch up if you lose to a bad set of rolls. Worst part though are the ads - if I have the sound and music turned off, ads should also play muted every time. Some can't even be muted after they've started. No options to turn off the nagging "play me" notifications, either. Minus two stars and uninstalled.

Some aspects ok but others less so. You have to start at beginner level which is ridiculous as the dice are not completely random (I'm sure the developers will state otherwise!). I have played backgammon in person and online for years and am suddenly terrible at it on this particular app! Constant ads are a bit annoying and abrupt. I found it quicker to close and reopen the app rather than sit through them.

This is a very well made app to pleasantly kill a few minutes of your time. My only criticism would be that it's lacking excitement ie tasks, goals, challenges and tournaments. And also i would like to have the choice of turning back off and on the bear off instead of being an once off decision. Thank you. I connected for a game and i saw that all my money was gone , my profile picture is different and i have been given another name. What happened there?

Nice features: auto end turn; auto bearing-off Would like: animation speed setting; volume control Do not like: -notification prompt to play. Not sure if it's a set time or AI. Back off - I play when I want! -Beginner level is unforgiving. It's like playing a cruel father who will "hit" you every time because he thinks he's teaching you a lesson about Life, even when you know nothing of the game. -didn't notice a difference between playing levels. Beginner as tough as other progs' Expert.

This bitchy game favors your opponent or the computer. It wont allow you to do any of the things your opponent is doing to you. It will skip your turn when it only has 2 more tiles to go so he can collect. And when you have to put away the tiles it has to equal the number to land in the place not any number above or below. I found that the computer will do that but not you you have to do the opposite of the opponent and have to equal that amount. Dont download this

It is a decent game but I would like to see more settings such as flipping the board around and faster AI movement. I find it strange that I can't enable auto bear off after I initially declined it. But most of all the game is much much too easy. My win record is 9-0 (5 backgammon) and last 4 games on expert. I know it is not luck because the AI makes really stupid moves. I played other Back Gammon games that is much more realistic and challenging. Not bad but suited for beginners.

level one and two are okay but level 3 and on the game cheats in one game the computer got doubles five times and I got them only once and when you send to the bar the computer automatically gets the roles that it needs no matter how improbable on demand. Other stuff I haven't figured out how to use the doubler the ads are of course annoying and also the pieces are difficult to move when you move it to where you want it it's got to be right down at the base or next to another chip makes no sense.

Gre. G. Jan 1, 2020

Great Game! The verify move button or check mark is too close to the change your roll button, which can be too easily hit by mistake, which I have done several times. Also, I would recommend and that you keep the auto bearoff button visible after it is pressed and capable of turning back off when needed by the player, so that the player can still double the bet, and/or manually remove the their checkers themselves.

Really excellent interface, only marred by Ads at the end of each game, and no significant difference in difficulty between beginner and expert levels. Also the program doesn't double well, and occasionally makes nonsensical moves. Needs more options: offline and online play between two people, and matches

Bor. C. Jul 25, 2020

Not too sure about the game. At first I liked it but then I realised few thing were really suspicious. First, after running stats on few games in a row, the AI got at least 3 times more doubles than I did. And secondly, it seems the AI is almost always getting the right number to re-enter. Very strange and frustrating.

I read some of the other reviews b4 i installed the game, and i thought 'it cant be that bad', but sadly, it is quite bad. The gameplay itself is ok, but the computer does get some suspiciously good rolls when needed. Also, 9/10 times the computer will roll first at the start of the game. In addition, the game does not acknowledge that a backgammon is 3x the bet, not 2x.

Extreme computer's bias,, Uninstaller as a result. Trying to find real play! Last review: Not an intuitive interface at all, for ex: no idea how players are doubling bets when my screen has no options to do same. For those looking for basic interface & low data use tho, it's great.

Wow. After playing several games, it became clear that this game does not play fair. My opponent enjoys doubles galore - that is many doubles in a row. 6's, 5's etc. Over and over while I roll squat. Opponent got more and more doubles especially when I was getting close to winning. I saw opponent get 3 6's, 2 5's, in a row. When I finally got a double - ? 1's, 2's. I would be an idiot to purchase the game and pay for bets for a game that is clearly designed to steal the win. Wow.
