Bacterial identification ABIS
- Advanced Bacterial Identification Software is a laboratory tool for bacterial identification, based on morpho-biochemical characters, cultural characteristics, growth conditions, ecology & pathogenicity data. The program allows a great flexibility in choosing biochemical tests and is an alternative to commercial systems, code-books or identification tables.The software is linked with a germs Encyclopedia, the Kauffman-White scheme for Salmonella serovars identification, Lancefield grouping for streptococci and an antibiogram interpreter.
Main identifiable taxons: Enterobacteriaceae, Pasteurellaceae, Campylobacteraceae, Bacillaceae, Lactobacillaceae, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Clostridium, Vibrio, Listeria, Erysipelothrix, Corynebacteriu, Aeromonas, Pseudomonas and related species. More than 700 species are included in databases and more than 800 species in encyclopedia.

The application is superb... will recommend this to my students (College of Med. Technology and Pathology). Love to have another higher level and deeper analization so that the student will have more time spent in studying advance and advance knowledge in the field of his/her studies. It's helpful but needed some more species
Ita a great app but it ahould be kept upgrading because new microorganisms are discovered and new characteristics of microorganisms come into existence and hence it should be upgraded

IT'S MUST HAVE APPLICATION,I SHARE IT IN MY LINKEDIN POST WITH HONOUR ...(new update)... I like this and such needed programs, but I guess interactive identification could be much better beside this useful innovation... Try tree branches structure for investigation.. for example gram positive bacilli is the first step, Then bring 4option as like as different culture media(practically all culture media's are not available in all labs!) So according to results we can get another option and finally the best answer... WE NEED SUCH AN UPDATE PLEASE... Thanks and Good luck my friends
